  1. It's historically been the opposite. The NFLPA focuses on a lot of ancillary stuff at the expense of salary increases. At least that's the their MO throughout history, maybe they are under new leadership recently. That and only their top tier players can afford to not play football so hardball hasn't historically been an option.
  2. NFL is probably always going to look the worst on paper just because of roster sizes. Couple that with incredibly high turnover rates you are dealing with a lot of idiots cycling through. Not saying they haven't been bad, but they'll never look as good as the NBA.
  3. Also, Lord of War, Joe, Pig, and Matchstick Men off the top of my head. Depending on how you feel about his 90s action stuff, I personally love The Rock. He puts out a lot of shit but he can turn it on if he wants to. I think he just likes making direct to video stuff for reasons beyond money. His new movie is really fun as well.
  4. I used my parents cable sub for HBO max occasionally. It hasn't been working the past week. I wonder if it has something to do with this. Like they are dropping cable subscription access to max. Glad I saw this so I didn't waste my own money on a max sub.
  5. My kids are shitheads. They'll find the biggest glass they can find to fill with ice for a sip of water and never touch it again. Plus my fridge is a Samsung so I just shut the ice maker off once we get countertop one because I was tired of dealing with it. If I were building or remodeling, I'd would opt for an undercounter just for the convenience, but I can't justify as a stand alone purchase.
  6. I didn't go with undercounter because there are more cost effective ways to get a lot of ice, but I did look into them. Fridge ice maker couldn't keep up with demand from wife and 3 kids. When schools opened back up the wife and kids would drain the fridge maker completely in the morning feeling up water bottles. Throw in we were still buying ice for lake trips on the weekends. I have a counter top that's paid for itself already just in bagged ice savings. I'll store reserves in the deep freeze in the garage. An undercounter would be more of just the ultimate convenience. They also generally make a prettier cube than you typical fridge. Like I said it's a flex more than anything.
  7. Betting on the sport you play is dumb and is always going to carry a hefty penalty. They aren't even going to approach the slope much less the slippery part on that issue, and that is how it should be.
  8. I hear they are changing the line from "I used to fuck guys like you in prison" to "I used to fuck guys like you while camping"
  9. I know. Marathon runners are notoriously flat.
  10. I'd guess they have Zeke, Tyron, Lawrence and Diggs pretty overrated. Diggs especially after last year. Yes the interceptions are great but he still gives up a ton of yards.
  11. It's probably fake. There is zero chance that someone hacked that dudes search history and the most embarrassing thing found was cheap hospice care.
  12. Those pluses are the QB whisperer himself already improving Nelson's game. He'll be a 7 star recruit by the time this visit is over.
  13. This akin to the football board predicting they lose 7 games. Their schedule is too easy for that to happen. They won't finish outside the top 25 even without Hill. They'll just buy some mercenaries that have their hand out.
  14. Low 6 figs doesn't stretch very far in San Francisco.
  15. My kids are going to this this upcoming year. I'm all for it. Supposedly there are studies showing it being better for the student. Most of our school polices are pretty much built on what is convenient for the parents rather than what is actually better for learning. The parents against it didn't really have a good argument other than it's not fair that teachers get a 4 day week and I don't.
  16. We didn't lose anyone important to the draft this year so we got that going for us.
  17. 6 year olds shouldn't be playing violent video games. I think the main point was that training isn't needed in order for a kid to figure out how to discharge a handgun. It's not rocket science, and it's not even a statement on our gun culture or propensity for violence. A 6 year old Swedish kid could figure it out as well. It's an intuitive action that's pretty much engrained in every human on the planet since guns were created.
  18. This is in the article. If the DA isn't pursuing charges, I don't know how the ISD is the one that is supposed to administer justice. ABC13 learned the case was turned over to the juvenile division of the Brazoria County District Attorney's Office and a grand jury declined to file charges against the boy. We stopped by their office to find out why and are waiting on an answer
  19. Guns aren't complicated to fire. Every 6 year old kid has played with toy guns. Regardless of their range time, even a toddler can manage to discharge a weapon if given access.
