  1. He's worked in compliance his whole career. He just goes around the country making sure various industries are in compliance. I guy like that would develop some serious connections. I hope like hell Sark heeds this man's advice.
  2. I just don't think he shows much personality in his roles unless he has a little goofball to them. Zero Dark 30 was a great movie and had a ton of awesome acting. Pratt was a part of that, but he didn't have to carry it. Love him in GOTG but his character has some goofball to it. Outside of Zero Dark 30 I don't know what "serious roles" he's had that would be a favorite. Maybe I am missing a movie that would completely reverse my opinion?
  3. What about sauce pans and pots? Is SS that much of a difference maker since it's typically liquids cooking? Looking at a set because pretty much all of our stuff save a carbon steel pan and a cast iron pan is pretty much garbage. A set makes sense there, but not really sure how much value i'd get out of their non skillet cookware.
  4. Is all clad SS still considered the gold standard? We got a set of hard anodized non stick cookware set (not all clad) gifted to us years ago but all the pans are beat to shit with the non stick flaking off. I think the most abuse ours takes is my kids just throwing it in the pots/pan cabinet unloading the dishwasher. I want to move away from non stick since the are basically disposable. Looking into a SS set, but not sure if it's worth it since I have a carbon steel pan that I use a lot. Don't know if the SS pans would just be redundant. I've never cooked on SS.
  5. It's not my world, but yeah I believe the consensus view is that the current law and application are way too overbearing. I guess there could be a lack of jailtime for repeat offenders, thus making deadbeats with little job prospects seem to skate by, but others can pretty much have their life fucked up pretty quick.
  6. There is an irrational fear of heights like not being able to go out on a balcony on any floor above 3, and there is a rational fear of death which is why 99.99% of the population would be scared shitless climbing a tower like that.
  7. The drive thru only makes sense if there is inclement weather. Otherwise it's wasting your time at the offset of not having to walk 50 ft.
  8. Light sauce? You deserve to have your order screwed up then.
  9. I've never had a pizza order fuckup and I eat my fair share of pizza hut and dominoes. Whataburger is going to mess up because A) they suck and have for some time, and B) offer too many variations. Handpicking through all those options on a app where every burger is different is going to lead to more fuckups. The more standardized the meal the less mess ups. That's why chick-fil-a isn't going to screw up. You've got incredibly limited options.
  10. I have the select cut ego and the plastic deck seems sturdy. It probably wouldn't hold up for commercial use, but it should be fine for a homeowner. The battery will probably wear out before the deck. The battery is where the $ is. If you want to save a little money, the non self propel version is what I'd do. Mine is so easy to push that I forget to even use it, and you likely don't have a lot of long strips of yard to where you would see the benefit of self propel anyway. It's kind of dumb to engage for 20 feet and disengage to turn it around for another 20 feet. Unless you are older and just need the lightest load possible.
  11. It's usually the other way around. The schools without RNs are a lot more laxed. Districts with RNs typically go overboard on regulations because it's their licenses on the line, and they don't want to deal with it. Especially at the elementary level it's insane how many teachers just send a kid to the nurse for no reason. Not that they aren't qualified to hand out OTC, but before they can they have to know stuff they'd been given at home. It's just easier to get rid of that step because they aren't reaching many parents in a timely fashion. No school is passing out controlled substances like candy, but they may have severely lacking security measures. Plenty pass out OTC shit, but they shouldn't.
  12. Texas doesn't require school districts to have RNs on staff. They typically do (probably multiple) once they get big enough, but with no RN employed your district policies are going to vary.
  13. I think it was one of his first roles. I've actually only seen Critters 1 & 2. He probably killed it in 3. I've never seen the Man in the Iron Mask either, but judging by the lack of listing that as Leo's worst he was probably good in that as well.
  14. I don't know how well Carolina has been building their roster under Rhule, but I know they've botched the QB position. Do they have anything other than McCaffrey?
  15. I don't like Pratt, but the series is fine enough. I don't think Pratt is a good serious actor. Pratt is the bigger name, so it would never happen, but Taylor K in the lead role would be better. Have zero connection to the source material so maybe he's supposed to be a robot, but that's pretty much all he's shown himself capable of doing outside of comedic roles.
  16. Sucked in Critters 3 though.
  17. The perfect score just means he's the consensus overall #1 recruit across the sites. VY and Ewers are the only QBs to do that. I'm not even sure what rating sites were around in 02 for VY though. Everyone is misconstruing that to mean he's the highest rated player since VY. That's not necessarily the case. They only rate players within a class not across years. Being the consensus #1 only has meaning when the quality of your class is taken into context. Like the NFL draft. A #1 overall pick one year may have been a #6 the next year because there were more elite players that year.
  18. There's plenty of tards out there living kick ass lives.
  19. Blake with the voice of reason. Nobody can grasp that Quinn is gone in 2 seasons, and Arch isn't picking a school demanding to start as a true freshman.
  20. I live my life a quarter mile at a time.
