  1. We identify talent just fine. Those players just go elsewhere.
  2. I can understand some covertness when you are poaching other college teams coaches, but I don't get it if you are getting an NFL guy. Rhule doesn't strike me as wanting to go out like Petrino.
  3. Talked about on message boards doesn't equal linked, but otherwise I don't have a clue to his job security in Carolina but plenty of people in the NFL still have a shit ton of respect for him, so his NFL well hasn't dried up yet. That being said yeah OU doesn't come open very often, but he just never seemed like a college coach is all I am saying.
  4. Rhule would be a kick to the balls to us praying OU flounders for sometime. Don't think he'd leave the NFL so quickly after racing to get there, but everything is insane right now.
  5. Is that video supposed to make it look like Hill isn't a complete fucking retard?
  6. Good to know Sloth from the Goonies made something of himself.
  7. We will be paying a lot more than that in a few years if we want to hire anybody that has actually been successful at being a HC.
  8. Manslaughter would accidently shooting and killing someone. Not intentionally shooting and killing someone because you accidently thought you were justified.
  9. I don't think the LHN really adds that much drama, but as far as the other two that has got to be a factor. I've always operated under the assumption that it's the same as any big time program, but it's certainly starting to seem like we are above and beyond on the bullshit.
  10. His name was mentioned and most fans including me said he wouldn't leave ND for us because coaches don't make lateral (at best) moves. Obviously that thinking is out the window. I assume since he's not our coach, the brass didn't kick the tires at all. Otherwise the alternative is they willingly chose Sark over a proven HC that's been in a title game and playoffs.
  11. Money is the last thing I expected.
  12. Yep. And to the point had he even denied it the same people would then say that it means nothing because coaches lie all the time, which they do. There is no reason to obsess over denials or lack of denials because they are often just calculated by the agents to increase salaries.
  13. Pretty much, but unfortunately OU is well run enough to know this as well.
  14. The Eagles certainly can't catch them if they keep loosing to the fucking Giants.
  15. There are no skeletons in the closet that allow you to be one of the highest paid coordinators at one of the premiere programs but keep you from getting HC gigs. There are plenty of programs that want to win at all costs. It's as simple as he likes where he's at and doesn't want to cut his HC teeth at Arkansas State or somewhere similar.
  16. Yes, but we are talking about a HC gig at a legit football factory. He would probably get over it. I get that he probably doesn't have much desire to be a HC because if he did he would probably already be one, but I doubt he'd turn down that kind of money.
  17. Agree. Maybe at one point in time I would say the coach owes the players more since he sold them a bill of goods when they were 17 years old, but in the age of the transfer portal and NIL they are capable of making/taking these business decisions.
  18. Sark's shitty coaching already negated the reasons why we hired him.
  19. I don't read CDC's weekly letters, does he normally try to address the teams failings, or was this a first?
  20. Got around to this last night. I enjoyed it overall. I do sympathize with the people that turned it off after 15 minutes because I was on that verge. It gets better when they introduce Elba, Stanfield, and King's characters. Other than the opening scene the first 20 minutes or so of the movie does suck.
  21. In hindsight it's a terrible HC hire, but we absolutely money whipped a supposed great staff together.
  22. Coach press conferences are so the media can get their quotes not for fans to get answers. We don't need answers anyways, we watched the game. The answer is everyone sucks.
  23. Started it Saturday night, but couldn't get into it. I may have been under the influence and in a glass case of emotion, so I may try again tonight. I can't promise the variables will be any different though.
  24. It's basically a throwaway comment at this point. Clearly players haven't bought in, and clearly leaders aren't holding them accountable, because clearly this team has no leaders.
