  1. Eh, those two are easily misheard over a crappy phone, I'll allow it.
  2. There are a couple YT reviews of this. For the money it's damn good. I ordered one a few days ago.
  3. Genuine lol. Ok. Fuck I don't even drive through Scottsdale if I can avoid it.
  4. Those are cheap stamped Henckels, you can tell bc the logo is a single person and not 2 people side by side. That said, it's at least a Victorinox equivalent in quality and steel, and better balanced (and better looking). Street price is about double a Victorinox.
  5. Go to Fredericks of Hollywood to find the lingerie photos you're looking for.
  6. If you have questions as you move, feel free to message me.
  7. Nope. Add knives when you have an actual need.
  8. I didn't check the sharpener model you posted. If this is the case, you're taking a 20' Victorinox and reprofiling it to a 15' Asian angle. That would explain how many passes it took you, you had to do some serious grinding of metal. But that should only be needed the very first time you sharpen - for maintenance sharpening after that the angle is already matched, so you should only need a few passes on 2 and a polish pass on 3.
  9. Or if it is interested in taking some money out of circulation, wait until people put more money in the market, and then tank the market next spring...
  10. Pull forward parking strikes again.
  11. The Victorinox aren't soft, and shouldn't be needing that much grinding. So I don't know what condition your knifes are getting to (how frequently do you sharpen, what material cutting boards do you use, do you ever cut on countertop or on plates), but step1 is really unnecessary on most knives for maintenance sharpening. Usually just one or two on step2 and a polish pass on step3 will get any knife back. One other possibility, how old or how long have you had your sharpener? It's possible but unlikely that the grinding wheels are simply worn out, esp if you've been overgrinding for quite some time on a lot of knives.
  12. I don't know what shape your knives are in or what metal they are, but 15 passes on 1 is absolutely not normal and you are seriously shortening the lifespan of the knife by grinding off excessive material. All your pass counts are way too high.
  13. If you can afford it, it's affordable.
  14. Ken Onion Worksharp. Watch YT and practice on a shitty knife first.
  15. I use Tmo wireless Internet as a backup failover for Cox. Tmo gives me roughly 90/20 speed and roughly 40ms ping. Cox is about 20ms latency. Speeds will definitely differ by area, and with 5g it will differ even from house to house. Tmo gives you a 14day trial period, I suggest you just sign up and try it out. Tangent, Tmo has great plan pricing for people aged 55+. They aren't very publicized. If someone in your household is over 55, have them get a plan and move other family members onto it - supplemental members don't need to be 55+. I'm not sure how many supplemental members are allowed on a 55+ plan, at least 2.
  16. I have a bunch of DeBuyer carbon steel, really like it.
  17. Little silicone props to hold pot lids partially open. More a gimmick gift than anything. The Victorinox white handled kitchen knives get top ratings all the time, and are staple in any commercial kitchen. They're cheap, and go on sale frequently. That said, I hate them for home use. Too light, shitty balance, grips feel like shit. They're intended to be a commercial workhorse product and that's exactly what they are. I've given away each one I've tried, and I've tried many. For a bargain knife, I'd recommend Yaxell and Enso, both are no-name brands that manufacture in Japan using good steel. The Yaxell Mon for $70 has been quite a pleasant surprise, nice fit and finish, and the metal holds an edge really well. You can see from my pic I have zero brand loyalty, and crap knives get given away quickly - those two brands have held their spots in the drawer against a fair number of more expensive knives.
  18. I've tried about every knife holder on the market, and the Wusthof wood in a drawer are what I settled on.
  19. Do you have the title to that car?
  20. Ship them. Every distillery does that for tourists/visitors all the time.
  21. I read this as "various neighborhood females" and was wondering why you were complaining.
  22. Dealer called and told us the car needed a new engine air filter and would we like them to replace it while they had it? No. The car has 4000 miles and this is the first oil change on it. Service advisor backed down instantly when he overheard my brother yell "are you fucking kidding me" in the background.
