  1. Mechatronics thread https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-macan/1292486-transmission-problems-beware-2.html Be aware this transmission is used in many other cars as well. If you are looking at Porsche or Audi, be very aware that they are ~100k time bombs that (dealer) cost 20k to replace. At bare minimum change the fluid often.
  2. This. They're trying to help you.
  3. See my comment earlier about mechatronics, read up on the transmission and go in with eyes open. Change the tranny fluid frequently.
  4. You are a bad person and your fuel pump hates you. Car fuel pumps are immersed in fuel in the tank, the fuel keeps them cool. By running the tank too low you remove that cooling immersion and they run hotter, shortening their lifespan. Never run your tank under 1/4 if you can help it.
  5. e) the opposite of whatever Wally does. I usually hold and forget it exists, unless I actually think it has a future (most of my stonks I don't think have a real future). If I do, I'll buy in more and forget it all exists. So, something c or d. But when you say 2x or 5x, are you referring to dollar value or to number of shares?
  6. Yeah, I'm not sure he's making his point too well. I pick up/drop off all the time, but only people that I like.
  7. Having a hard time seeing why the absolute credit rating matters at all. Globally it's all relative. As long as the US has more projected strength and stability than everyone else, even if it is a B and everyone else is a C, nothing will actually change in distribution of "money" worldwide.
  8. Ok, let's math. 100% of zero is? 200% of zero is?
  9. Renewals via foreign embassies are MUCH faster than domestic US. I posted earlier in this thread, but Thailand the new passport is in your mailbox within 3 weeks.
  10. You have not misread my response, I simply disagree that every 40hr job should pay enough for livable space and some sort of retirement. A bare-bones job should pay enough to feed you and keep a roof over your head that same day. That's all.
  11. Team paper boarding pass, every time. Not depending on a phone for this (device hang, battery dead, app crash), and also not opening another security hole on my phone for this (by installing an app).
  12. How is this meeting his responsibility to his client, as selling agent?
  13. These drink slushie stands are a common sight at Thailand street markets, they do slushies out of sodas and all kinda of beer. Sorta like an ice cream maker, the bottles get swirled in a bath of salted ice until they're slush.
  14. Mitsuwa's pricing is generally...quite premium.
  15. Depends what the watch's "purpose" is, or what the purpose of my purchase is, but I'm conscious of the horology most of the time, and sometimes it's all that matters. Swatch Sistem51 I bought to support the innovation in automated manufacturing. Seiko 5 I buy out of respect for the movement's pedigree. Zero care for aesthetics on both of those. Snoopy Speedy I bought because of Snoopy; DGAF about the watch internals - I also bought a Snoopy Timex for the same reason. I differ on this point, I don't want a fancy package on my watch, and I don't want any costs spent on packaging/fluff. I don't keep the packaging most of the time anyway. It actually pisses me off when I get a bunch of expensive packaging and box and fancy printed shit with a new watch, why not spend that money on improving the watch, or lower the price?? That said, the packaging that AP uses for service/repair returns is shameful.
