Looping back to this, I got an ad a little while ago for Final Fantasy Distant Worlds, a world touring event that happens pretty much constantly, performing songs from the Final Fantasy game series. They came through Bangkok this past weekend, I definitely didn't miss my chance to go. As a huge fan of classical and a huge fan of Final Fantasy, it was amazing. So much fun, so many memories, and such an enjoyable experience, with the bonus of incredible audience energy as everyone was there for love of the games. If you have a shred of connection to the games, go to this. As a random classical fan, esp if you have kids you want to introduce to classical, go to this. It had paired visuals from the games to keep eyes occupied, and the music is much more diverse than most classical in terms of instruments, in terms of playing methods, in terms of mood and styles, due to it being pulled from 15 soundtracks vs a "piece." Extra guest treat at the performance: two of the composers were at the performance, and two of the vocal soloists were the original ones that sang the actual game soundtracks.
Direct link to the tour schedule page is here, I see they went through TX a few months back. The schedule page is constantly rolling, they add new dates all the time.

Arnie Roth is a quite respected and decorated conductor in his own right, he is the conductor for these performances. And Yoko Shimomura might hold the most positions in most top10 video game soundtrack rankings.
For an idea of what it's like, watch this, this is a performance from 5yrs ago:
