  1. Just an FYI, Amex Platinum gives you Walmart+ free, and Walmart+ includes Paramount+ streaming.
  2. Three Body Problem was notable for being sci-fi with a hard grounding in science. Great books. The Expanse also wasn't bad - it wasn't trying to be hard sci-fi, but it avoided glaring issues.
  3. Mine just has photos of pulled pork.
  4. What did the fox say?
  5. I'd hope not, it's one of the only "OG SWA" things they have left.
  6. Actually never. It's sort of the whole reason I put a portion in funds, I don't want to know what it's doing, what it holds, what the value is. I check back maybe twice a year just to see total account value. I rebalance if it's out of balance. And then I forget it exists.
  7. Thanks Marvel. Not only do you ass up the movies, now you ass up watches also: https://www.audemarspiguet.com/com/en/watch/apxmarvel-spider-man.html

  9. I'll take you there. You're welcome.
  10. Sigh. We joke, but there is some systematic error in the English language education here in Thailand between the R and L sounds. We've tested with many of our Thai staff, if you write it the "other" way and ask them to pronounce it, they generally get the sound correct. Hence you write Rays and they pronounce Lays, you write Lays they pronounce Rays. We have not identified where the root cause is; one theory is that many teachers here are Filipino, and we suspect some systemic reversal of the two sounds in the way those teachers are being taught, so the teachers are learning wrong and then teaching wrong, continuing to propagate the issue.
  11. *in *a
  12. They're the perfect key fob for Hyundai! https://www.thedrive.com/news/how-thieves-are-stealing-hyundais-and-kias-with-just-a-usb-cable
  13. Cool story? Speaker is a ceiling penetration and certainly can have water leak around it.
  14. Holy fuck instant divorce right there.
  15. Meh, he only shot him in the buttocks, seems a reasonable trade for the last Hot Pocket.
  16. Long ago I told my wife to stop doing mine because she kept fucking it up. Too much soap, gave my skin itchy red patches, wrong temperature, damages colors, dries them too long, shrinking them, then leaves them in the dryer, wrinkling them. That said, I never understood doing laundry every day. Do it when you have enough for a full load, otherwise you just waste power and water and your own time.
  17. Just re-read All the Light We Cannot See. Jesus what a beautiful book.
  18. I'm with you here, and I've had some very good Wellingtons. Even a great one, I still think to myself "what a waste of a good steak and a good pastry crust."
  19. Narrator: she did not learn a life lesson.
  20. How are those Betabej Crujiente things in top right?
  21. You rang? I bring a variety for coworkers whenever I travel.
  22. Interstellar was marred by having the stupidest fucking robot design imaginable. Seeing this thing destroyed all suspension of disbelief; if you design a piece of key mission equipment like this you deserve for the mission to fail.
  23. It sounds like it's a known Google issue with sharing lists that have a large number of entries (1000+). My list is something around 1500 so that explain the issue. Not sure if there's a workaround, still reading.
  24. Hmmm, I get same error when I try from a different account. Trying to figure this out...
  25. That's really a tough one, as it depends more on the technical guy and not on how you ask. Yes you can ask and frame it better, but it ultimately comes down to the techie being able to give you a TL:DR or not. Many of them simply don't have that editing/writing ability; it's possibly the entire reason they became techies. The way you can help it yourself is...to become more technical, or at least ask more technically,, so you can ask them more specific questions that they can answer with specific answers, and you use that info to generate your own TL:DR. Old boss used to say "don't write me a novel." EDIT: Start with Why, your statement totally nails it. In keeping a company's focus, esp in a product role, it is absolutely key. My issue with it is as you say, that he's marketing it as an "end all be all," and it just isn't.
