  1. I thought he posts on surly under the same name. Am I remembering wrong?
  2. What does a tattoo of Kramer have to do with this?
  3. Is it possible TH himself is one of the Covids and is actually sick? Seems like the reports were 3 players and a couple staff. He would fall under staff I would think. Might explain him missing the Zoom call and Rewind. I want to believe otherwise but just occurred to me.
  4. Would be appropriate id this news was being broken by a twitter account named rapegamelarry.
  5. Well, you could argue he hasn't been our coach the last 4 years either.
  6. At this point I'm doubtful but I don't feel strongly enough one way or another to argue it. I will say though that I disagree with the part about including the insiders and them working in conjunction with CDC. Those guys are nothing but a bunch of scumbags and can't be trusted with anything, and I'm sure CDC thinks that. He may be feeding them misinformation to get everyone off the track, but I don't at all believe the insiders are trustworthy enough to be in on it.
  7. Welp, while we're continuing to abuse ourselves I can just update that there is nothing new from the squid. His last tweet was yesterday.
  8. I will always despise him and Powers for killing the Saban deal.
  9. Nah, we lost our marbles a long time ago.
  10. Campbell is the only other guy I can think of that I have any level of enthusiasm for, but I know others here don't want him. That's part of the reason I have doubts about the buyout of TH if not UM. For 15 mil you need a number of BMDs enthusiastic for the replacement. I just don't see them ponying up a bunch of money and just hoping CDC makes a good choice. Most likely the BMDs are as split on opinions about the various plan Bs as we are, whereas there was unity abou UM. I question whether CDC can get enough BMDs in agreement and enthused about the same plan B.
  11. I've never had a Fuck Me McRib, but it sounds like something they're going to start offerring at DKR concessions.
  12. You're mixing your finances here. I'm talking about the BMD's money and questioning their willingness to spend it for a TH buyout if UM isn't part of the deal. You're talking about CDC's finances. Yeah, he may want to go ahead and go with a plan B for the reasons you state, but whether to pony up the money for a buyout isn't his decision since that wasn't going to be his money. Conversely, all the negative financial impacts you refer to aren't going to impact the BMD's pockets, so that isn't likely a motivation for them to spend the money for a buyout.
  13. So, I expect where things stand is that with UM giving a no that CDC told him to keep thinking about it and that we'll hold tight and do nothing for the next few weeks if he changes his mind. It's too close to ESD for a Plan B to matter so there's no reason to rush into something there. Those coaches still have games going on, as do we with potentially KU as well as a bowl. I suspect we'll stand pat for the next few weeks in hopes of a change of heart. CDC may do some probing for Plan Bs, but not get too far down the road with anyone for at least a couple of weeks to allow for a change by UM. The thing about Plan Bs is that you only need one if you have a job opening. Everyone assumes we'll just buyout Herman for someone else now. I wouldn't be surprised though if some if not a lot of the BMDs willingness to shell out a $15 million buyout was predicated on getting UM. There may not be the same willingness for anyone else. It's easy for us to say TH has to go but it isn't our money. As such, I wouldn't be surprised to see CDCs hands being tied and having to ride it out with no change for next year, with the slight hope that maybe UM changes his mind either in the near future, or perhaps even next year.
  14. Serious question. If you're seeing literally nothing are you sure they haven't cut you out of the distribution?
  15. First of all, this. ^^^^ Secondly, how do we know that the source for Nahlin (and FCB probably just regurgitating what IT says) isn't somehow coming from TH's end, trying to throw a monkey wrench into things? If the CDC and UM camps are maintaining silence then there isn't anything to counterbalance someone trying to put out adverse messages to stir things up. Lastly, I haven't seen anyone say that Burton has posted anything negative yet. Hasn't the consensus been that Burton is the one most closely tied into the AD, and that these other guys are relying on other outside sources? If so, Burton's silence so far seems like it might be telling.
  16. So Kirk Barton, the main negative source we've had so far, is also a setup?
  17. Wait, you're saying he's this guy? The Heavan's Gate cult leader? Are you sure someone wasn't dicking around when they said that's who he was?
  18. Well if he's just fucking around he's got a lot of money to burn as he's put down around $1000 on bets as to this taking place.
  19. No idea. That was just my interpretation of what TexasEd was saying above.
  20. I think what he was saying is that Kirk Barton's source may be Trace Armstrong but Barton doesn't realize Armstrong is using him to put out a message favorable to Herman.
  21. Yeah, I think futureman plans on starting a fansonly site for fisting action.
  22. I'm tired of us competing with one hand tied behind our back. Bring on the bagman and let the 5 stars roll in.
