  1. If you can pay taxes on the land, cover feed and whatever equipment costs you have, you’re doing good. If you can make a couple hundred bucks or so per calf even better. Making a full living raising cattle? Better have a thousand or so acres of really good pasture with lots of water that’s paid for and and access to some really cheap labor.
  2. Got this in an email from the TAMU Agrilife extension. The survey covers the economic impact of a Texas whitetail deer hunting and the effect CWD could have in state economy. Good Morning Texas Hunters, We have had an awesome response to the white-tailed deer survey. If you have not taken the survey, we would really appreciate your help. This is an important topic, and I want to make sure you're included in the discussion. My contact information is in the survey if you have any questions or comments. Also, don't forget to enter your email at the last question of the survey for your chance to win a Yeti Hopper Flip 18 Soft Cooler. Thank you! 3. You can use a spool gun with a regular DC Mig welder and 100% argon gas to weld al but it isn’t as nice as using an AC tig machine. Welding Al takes a lot of power smaller household Mig machines may have a problem with even 3/16 Al angle and plate.
  4. 1018 cold rolled round bar is 80k material and will be fine in that application. No need for any higher $$ alloy material.
  5. Close enough to a cover so I’m gonna put it here …
  6. All of that just sitting behind a 5 panel garage door in some unassuming neighborhood. Damn! Would love to see the Brownings in the boxes on the shelf in that safe.
  7. Dole pineapple plantation was fun for the kids and I enjoyed a big bowl of pineapple soft serve topped with fresh pineapple. We also took a kayak tour at Kailua Beach. We put in and paddled down the river, then drug the boats across the beach and the paddled out to an island. Me and the kids enjoyed it but my wife ditched hers coming back with the waves and has some issues getting back onboard. My kids also took surfing lessons at Waikiki beach (we stayed at the Hilton on the beach) and surfed one day with the class, then rented boards and did it by themselves the next day. My son was 11 and daughter 15. We have some cool pics of them from the class riding a wave with Diamondhead in the background.
  8. There was one like that running around town when I grew up. If the big slicks in back didn’t give it away, the dual holly’s on a tunnel ram sticking out of the hole in the hood sure did. I think the frame had a permanent torque twist.
  9. Don’t know about Ford, but there are several aftermarket CP3 kits for the Cummins 6.7. They were available before Ram issued the recall. In fact, if you replaced the pump on your own dollar, you can file paperwork and get the $$$ you spent on the refit back from Ram. That is pretty solid IMO.
  10. All of the 2019 and 2020 Ram 6.7s are on recall because of CP4 failure. I have a 2019 and went in to have the inspection a couple of months ago and am waiting for parts to come in. Have 63k miles on it and haven’t changed how I drive but I do add a dose of Hot Shots every day treatment to every tank.
  11. Needs some Turlington’s Lower Back Tattoo Remover.
  12. Tell us you’re mafia connected without telling us you’re mafia connected.
  13. Sean Connery approved.
  14. If you are gonna do all this shit, just start with a stripped lower and build up a receiver, then add whatever upper and optics you want. Kinda silly to tear down a clone M4 and do all that when it’s much easier just to start from scratch. I mean, who has just one AR anyway?
  15. I win bitches!
  16. Here is a couple of pics of my Colt LE6920 Magpul showing the pic rail for the light and a QD swivel receiver on the hand guard. Very basic upgrades, easy to add and you don’t end up with a Swiss army AR with a bunch of shit hanging off of it that just gets in the way.
  17. Friends don’t let friends run EOtechs. OP, remove the carry handle/rear sight and get an Aimpoint Pro red dot. I leave mine on all the time and get 2years + out of the battery. It will co-witness with your existing A2 front site out of the box and you can add a fold down Magpul rear MBUS. Magpul also has some small bits to add a short picatinny rail at the front of the hand guard to add a light off you wish. Get a good sling too and you should be good to go.
  18. Shoulda been the first post.
  19. Couple skate, couples skate only.
  20. I took it that the 19th century renovations removed all other years glass except what was original 13th century and then remade panels for those pieces and that was why only glass from those two era’s.
  21. South Austin’s mom has one of those on her night stand filled with her favorite lube.
  22. I think this is incorrect. I thought that if originally build as a pistol, made it always a pistol. You can build an ar pistol from a stripped lower and put a long barrel and stock on it no problem, but you can’t take an ar rifle, say a factory M&P-15 and put a short barrel and brace on it. When I built a few AR’s it was suggested to build as a pistol with a short barrel and pistol buffer tube, then reconfigure as a rifle with stock and 16” upper. Pictures of that pistol build would serve to define as a pistol is you ever wanted to go back to a short barrel and brace with that lower. Another thing to think about on a pistol is why would a 16” barrel make it a rifle but a 14” barrel would still be a pistol.
