  1. One of my uncles was a longtime Delta pilot, served as Chief Pilot for several years. After he retired, they flew the Concord across to Europe and sailed the Queen Mary 2 back (Or vis versa). On the flight, he sent one of his business cards to the flight deck with a stew and he was invited to come up to the cockpit and ride with them a bit. /myconcordecsb
  2. Is the boat ramp just north of the park usable? Been scoping that out for a trip but would like to take the boat and run offshore without having to tow it back up to the harbor to launch.
  3. Florida Skiff Challenge Facebook group page has some pretty good videos and livestreams. Definitely a kidney beating
  4. Anybody heard of the Florida Skiff challenge? Looks like a boat race all the way around Florida in 18’/70hp skiff raising awareness for an org working to clean Florida waterways. Hells Bay, Yellowfin, Key West and Seapro. https://captainsforcleanwater.org/skiff-challenge/ Live tracker here http://captainsforcleanwater.org/skiff-challenge/map-tracker/ They left Pensacola this morning and most boats are east of Apalachicola in open water right now.
  5. To add to @utee94, look at all the roof seams on the sides and near the front cap and rear. RV roof joints are usually sealed with an elastomer compound that self levels and should remain pliable. Look for any points where it has cracked or pulled away from vertical points (along vents or AC's) or where water can pool up. Any place that water can pool up on a RV roof is a place that a leak will happen. Here are a couple of pics from my delivery inspection. I found these after it went through our manufacturers much touted 300 point pre-delivery inspection and one supposedly done by my dealer. Also look for water stains on the ceiling and for soft spots in the floor along the walls. These would be definite signs of water damage. Check out all the appliances on gas and electric operation and for sure the AC's.
  6. I’d bet he had the trailer backed in so far that it was floating until he pulled it out of the water. That move is pretty much standard boat ramp fuckup video fodder.

    SpaceX

Just another Wednesday, no big deal, just launching 60 more Starlink satellites and bring the first stage booster back down and landed for its 7th time.
  8. Need to add this to the arsenal @troph for that beach trip
  9. Performance wise, yes. Construction wise the 40's parent case is the 10mm, and is just shortened with all other dimensions the same. The 38Super has the 38ACP as the parent case and the 9mm uses the 7.65x21 as a parent case. You could trim 10mm case down to make 40 if you needed but you cant make 9 from a 38S or vice versa. /pendanticfirearmtalk
  10. Ma’am, you might want to keep the kids on the trail as you don’t want to disturb the snakes
  11. Do you even double stack, bro?
  12. 38 Super is to 9mm as 10mm is to 40S&W* Lots of IPSC shooters run 38 Super guns to meet major power factor requirements. *Not 100% accurate statement but close enough.
  13. Hauled the trailer in Friday morning and go my new GY Endurance tires installed, then parked it in the driveway over the weekend to do some maintenance and upgrades. Did a bunch little stuff inside like swapping a faucet and adding some hooks and brackets but mainly worked on fabricating a solution to mounting the solar charge controller in my pass through storage area. I built up a little frame out of clear pine 1x2s to support a sheet of 7/16 plywood and boxed it in with 1/4 ply. I bought a Kreg pocket hole jig about a year or so ago and hadn't used it before and am a believer now for quick joinery work. Sized to box to fit a plumbing access panel for a cover. Drilled a hole in the wall of the trailer to put in a Furrion solar inlet receptacle. These ports are only good for 10A but will work fine as I only carry 2 100W panels and connect them in series. I screwed up and didn't plan ahead on my battery wiring and didn't have enough to wire that in but will do that in 2 weeks from. Should be enough room in the box to add a small inverter to power a couple of outlets in the trailer if needed.
  14. Neg rep to all you guys can't talk full auto firearms without post this. Also, I would make a trip to one of these shoots to look, talk and consider before buying a Cl 3 weapon.
  15. We did that to a buddies 4x4 deer lease suburban back in high school. Lots of cutoff wheels in the grinder and sawzall blades then put on a rattle can camo job. Spend the summer cruising around town in it before hauling back down to the lease.
  16. One of the best videos and songs of MTV. I mean who wouldn't want to be blasting through the seas off Antigua on a 70' ketch with a beautiful girl on board.
  17. If you buy a stripped lower, it usually doesn't have a defined rifle or pistol designation. When you build up the lower, go ahead and build/assemble it as a pistol first and mate with a pistol upper (I like to make a time stamped pic to document) and then rebuild as a rifle if you want. This way you can always take it back to a pistol.
  18. Do you have Grill Skills? Wait for the drop at 3:45
  19. This right here. DTFH Spring Break '87!
  20. Buddy Christ approves of this thread
  21. You a fan of a Big Kahuna Burger too?
  22. Do you have any other SBRs or AR pistols (don’t answer this)? Having a short barreled upper and neither of the above, and posting about it online might be construed as constructive intent by overzealous 3 letter types. I was advised once not to store a short barrel uppers around regular AR rifles for that reason and to build up every lower as a pistol the first time mated to an upper. Your guidance may be something else but just passing along what I was told.
