  1. Thought it was a pretty solid episode. I haven't really watched in a while, but tuned in for the nostalgia of Sandler. Definitely loved him doing the Farley song. Side Note: How often does SNL recycle skits? I know they do, but I remember watching the other night that I had seen the "Last Call" skit before. I looked it up on youtube and found about 8 different versions of it and each one had almost the exact same script with a few slight changes.
  2. That's awesome. I always thought they seemed like good people when I'd eat there. I worked in an office across the street from there for Mother Francis and would have a brother in law at least once a week. Damn, I miss that place.
  3. Is it open? Seriously, I've demolished a half gallon of this already. There has to be crazy in there and hopefully not listeria.
  4. I've met the owner a few times. He was Kacy Musgraves' drummer when she was first getting started in East Texas.
  5. 10-Jason Garret still has a job. 20-Tom Brady is still QB for the Patriots 30-Willie Nelson and Mick Jagger release a duet album.
  6. The cukoo's calling was very good (about a private detective) written J. K. Rowling, published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. I'm also about halfway through The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man (another murder mystery type book), it's very good so far.

  8. I live within walking distance of Gabriela Y Sofias, it's always solid and pretty cheap too.
  9. It's my understanding that they've bought a few plots of land and a few vacant stores and are sitting on them for a while. Not sure if they plan to make them central markets or will start rolling out HEB's.
  10. Whataburger Dairy Queen (I want one in a small town where the frying oil hasn't been changed in 6 months) Popeye's Chic Fil A
  11. I love this. I can feel this change coming and am looking forward to that day.
  12. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.
  13. I'm finally ready to join the club. I'm currently on day 11. I've reset the clock several times over the past year and have definitely reset that line in the sand several times. I've seemed to have no problem stopping, but when I do take that first drink, it's "balls to the wall" until I pass out or someone forces me to stop. My friends have told me once I cross that line into blackout territory, that I show multiple personalities and become delusional. Over the past 3 years, I've drained myself financially to chase the drink (and women), came close to losing my kids, broken several personal relationships, and had my first arrest about 3 weeks ago (PI). I've finally hit my breaking point and ready to make myself whole again. I'm very grateful for where I am at now and am the most clear headed that I have been in at least 3 years.

  15. I've done a little bit of Uber driving myself, and as a driver, I always ask passenger what their name is to confirm they are the right person. I've had a few instances where the wrong person tried to enter my car. As an Uber passenger, I've had someone hop in the car designated for me and I've had to cancel that ride to request another. I've had one other time where the correct driver showed up to pick me up, but he was in a completely different car than what the app showed. I canceled that ride and requested another just to play it safe. Always confirm driver's name and license plate before getting in.
  16. Hey, It could Happen to You, me anyone.
  17. I forgot to report back. Last Friday, Choctaw had 2 $10 tables, 1 $5, and 1$25 table. They were actually pretty consistent. I played through the night on and off and walked away about even, which I think is the point of the HG method. I did play around with the all-tall-small a couple of times and hit them.
  18. Same thing happened to me about a year ago. Woke up to my car being plowed into the car in front of me. They actually left a note and a police officer had left his card. Some drunk hit it at 4am and ran off. The female passenger in he car stayed behind and took blame (according to people that lived in the apartment just outside of where I was parked). Filed with state farm, gave them the Geico insurance info that was left behind. Car was declared a total loss, so lender was paid the assessed value (less deductable). I was only 3 payments in, so thank God for the gap insurance I got suckered into at the dealer. A year later, it's still in subordination and no sign of recovering that deductable.
  19. Going to Choctaw tonight and going to give this ago, does anyone know if they have $10 tables on Friday nights?
  20. Mid-30s, so it was on when I was in HS. Never bothered til recently.
  21. I'm late to the party, but just started last week. Almost wrapped with season 4. Holy shit, how did I miss this show before?
  22. That's near my office, will be trying this soon.
  23. I work across the street from here and gave it a try for the first time today. It was a hell of a sandwich, will be going back frequently.
