  1. When I was in jr. high, someone brought a dead bat to school. The teacher let everyone touch it. Turns out the bat had rabies, the entire class had to get the shots.

    Dallas | BBQ

Peggy Sue's is no cattleack or PL, but way better than Dickey's roast beef or sommy Bryan's. We got the big sampler plate that came with a bit of everything and thought it was decent. It wouldn't be my first choice, but was decent enough.

Thanks. I'm kinda feeling something different, Peggy Sue's feels like it may be a good choice.

I'd definitely repeat Cattelack, but he's leaving Wednesday. I was looking for something for tonight.

Thanks. I've taken him there before too and it's always solid. Will probably stick with that. Just making sure there wasn't something else we're missing out on.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to go tonight? I've got a a friend in from England who has requested bbq. He's spoiled to the fact that he's been to Cattleack, Lockhart, and PL on previous trips. I would rank those as my top 3 that I've had in the metroplex (besides maybe Hutchins). Any recommendations for a new place we should try? I was thinking Ferris Wheeler's, but not sure as I haven't seen too many reviews. He's staying in the galleria area if that helps. Is f Thanks
  8. I'm on spectrum too. While the modem is free, that's without wireless. They charge like $10 for the wireless modem. I went ahead and just bought my own with them.
  9. I built this table and bench last year.
  10. Does it come with a sticker?

    Colonoscopy

I was having shart issues more often than I should have been. My dr ordered one as a precaution. Plus there is some family history of colon cancer.
  12. There's an older guy with a couple of cougar looking women sitting next to me. Guy to one of the women: you can't leave yet. Her: I need to get home Him: you have someone to have sex with at home? Her: nope, no one. Him: what about Bob, the battery operated boyfriend.
  13. Adopted this guy about 3 months ago. Meet Bodie. He's a 3 y/o Kerr mix from what I'm told, but came house trained, sits, shakes and lays down on command. He's a big baby.

    Colonoscopy

I'm 34 and have had 2 at this point. They found pre-cancerous polyps when I was 29, so I'm on track to have one every 2-3 years now.
  20. Thank you everyone for your kind words. She passed Sunday evening peacefully at home. In true Mom fashion, she seemed to wait until a moment when my sister, step-dad, and I had left the room. Up until that point, someone had been beside her holding her hand 24/7. For some reason or another, the 3 of us stepped out of the room for a split second, and that's when the hospice nurse hollered for us to come back into the room. It's been a tough few days, but I'm at comfort knowing she's now at peace and she did not suffer very long from this awful disease. My step-dad is having a tough go at it and is trying to adjust to an empty house after 22 years of marriage, so I've kind of had to step-up with the planning. I hope that we've created a beautiful service and will celebrate her life tomorrow afternoon.
  21. I did a few things with it before, but not worth the time. You have to meet certain qualifications to do jobs and most just pay pennies. I think I lucked out and did a survey that paid $2.00 for 5 minutes of my time.
  22. Just wanted to share an update as I need a place to vent. Found out just a week ago that the cancer most likely originated in her colon and aggressively spread to her lung and bones. Chemo/radiation would only give her a few additional months, so she chose to go home on hospice care. I've watched my mom fade away into a vegetative state in the matter of days. I'm currently by her side holding her hand. This is just a reminder that life is precious and short and sometimes defintely not fair. She raised me to be a Longhorn, and even through thos shes a fighter. Let's see the boys win one for her today.
  23. I used to office next to one. The only reason to go was for breadsticks.
