  1. Any advice on how to ease into this or develop a workout routine? I've done very little weight lifting in my life. Most of my weight is carried in the gut.
  2. Charges dropped. https://www.fox4news.com/news/murder-charges-dropped-against-former-dallas-police-officer
  3. Found this funny, it involves dumbasses.
  4. Yes. Thanks, I started back Monday and haven't weighed anything, just avoided carbs. I started tracking with my fitness pal yesterday and managed to only get in 1,100 calories, but never felt hungry. Percentage wise, it was pretty close to the percentages set in my daily goals. Just for reference I'm 6ft, 300lbs. At my heaviest, I was 350 and had gastric sleeve about 5 years ago and dropped down to around 230 at my lowest. I do still some portion size restrictions when I eat certain things, but I can pretty much eat normal portion sizes.
  5. For you guys doing Keto, are you hard core measuring everything out? I've done it before and I know that it works well for me.
  6. I was talking to a guy that worked at the GM plant in Arlington the other day and he mentioned that this is there biggest holdup is in production. That's why car lots look empty right now.
  7. I just discovered Hobo Shoestring, he's a train hopper and documents different trips. Living the dream I guess, here is a ride from Shreveport to Dallas, he starts the video describing a local gas station and the food there.
  8. Hell Yeah! The Plano one will be close to me. (I know username doesn't check out).
  9. Truth, but my great great grandfather or something like that bought a family plot in Wolfe City of all places sometime after the Civil War for like $5 is the story I've heard. Mom did say she wanted to be buried there, so I think we used the last remaining plot for her.
  10. That's what I figured. I have a brand new M&P9c that is ready for some range time.
  11. Any leads on 9mm availability?
  12. My Mom passed suddenly had we had to plan almost everything from scratch. She already had a plot that had been passed down from previous generations, and it made it a little easier that the funeral home we used managed that cemetery but that was it. If they already have plots, talk to the cemetery about what they require, then like everyone said talk to the funeral home.
  13. So I found some of my old chips lying around from before I relapsed (I’m sure there were others I’ve thrown away) I decided to use them as a daily reminder and think twice anytime I’m heading out the door. Happy to be here!!!
  14. My ding a ling is the best chuck berry song ever fyi

  16. They'll send Ursula instead of South Austin's Mom.
  17. I was let go over the phone from one place(was working remote) they had a courier knocking on my door 30 mins later to collect my laptop and access card.
  18. Good morning all, happy to be here and happy to have another sober day behind me. I really loved the line from today's Daily Reflections and thought I'd share. "May I always remember that the power within me is far greater than any fear before me. May I always have patience, for I am on the right road."
  19. Be sure to watch through the credits Just realized ep 7 has an end credit scene too.
  20. Valid. False Events Appearing Real. Fuck Everything and Run. Or, Face Everything and Recover. If you don't put in today you get a gold star, no matter what real or imagined troubles occur. You wanna talk about it, PM me your cell number and I'll at least distract you and make you laugh. I welcome the opportunity to just talk with another drunk. @JohnnyRage you just did page 24 from the BB in real time on this page. Reading your experience I can feel with sufficient force the pain and suffering. Thank you for your sobriety. Thanks guys and thank you @BearSchlongfor the chat earlier. I dropped into a meeting tonight and it was a very fitting discussion (funny how that always seems to happen). We read the southern gentlemen story from page 217. @Reagan1k, I feel like your replay fits nicely with the conversation we had tonight in the meeting. The man in the story felt complacent and was tempted to go buy a drink, but stopped to talk to other drunks along the way and spoke to his wife and those kept him from doing so. I had one of these ah ha moments today and realized I haven't been following my program as I should. This shit really does work if I follow it. Thankful to make it through another day sober and grateful for the words of encouragement today.
  21. Woke up struggling a little bit today having that feeling of anxiety that I'm going to screw up again. I just have to be sober today and remind myself of my gratitudes and pray that my thoughts be directed.
  22. I think my lowest this week here in DFW. My highest temp was 113 in Vegas.
