  1. I'm starting to get the hang of it. I've been playing pretty consistent in tour 3 the past 2 days and feel like I'm winning 75% of my matches. I have enough bankroll to play a few rounds in tour 4 (3k Entry), but feel more comfortable staying in 3 for now to build my bankroll some more. What level should I aim to take my clubs up to? Pretty much all of them are on level 3-4 now except my rough and sand wedges. I feel like I'm in a good rhythm with my clubs at the moment, so I don't want to change too much, just hone in on my skill and build bankroll.
  2. Good stuff. Hate that we have to do this the old fashioned way and wait a week between episodes.
  3. The rubber cap on my earbud got lodged in my ear canal when I took them out yesterday. I was at the office and didn't have tweezers handy, so tried to dig it out with a pen cap. That probably wasn't the best idea. The girlfriend (no pics) was able to retrieve it when I got home.
  4. I finished it in two days. I played chess with my dad as a kid, but it was never anything strategic or overly competitive, but I found the chess play interesting. It was a little bit slow moving, but moved along fast enough to keep watching.
  5. Another article I read said they will maintain the Dallas based headquarters. I also read somewhere that one of the first ranges they built was the Dallas location.
  6. Yeah I realized that a little while ago. I’ve been sticking to the extra mile. I may take it up a level or two, but I don’t think it adds much.
  7. I'm now in a rabbit hole of looking at different options and custom builds for this. Kind of want for myself.
  8. I've been watching some old Chapelle show clips, and holy shit, just realized Bill Burr was in some of the old sketches. The racial draft, the dice world championships, the sam jackson beer commercial.
  9. I liked his little quote at the end "Don't piss off an old man with a little money"
  10. What do you guys suggest as far as clubs? Here are my two bags. I’ve been feeling pretty confident as far as bag 1 goes and haven’t really done any upgrades to them in a while, but it’s the one I play with 99.9% of the time. I’ve made bag 1 my more accurate clubs and bag 2 are really just the other ones I have unlocked along the way.
  11. Started the Queen's Gambit last night. It's a little slow, but I've been hooked so far. It's about an orphaned girl that becomes a chess prodigy in the 60s.
  12. Thanks for the tips. I just joined the group.
  13. I started playing about a week ago. I'm still trying to figure out a strategy, but have unlocked up to T4, just haven't had the bankroll to play on it consistently. I'm hovering around 50% on wins and it seems like every match goes into a shoot out. Any tips for a newbie? I've watched the ring method video and a few others but that's about it so far.
  14. It's definitely tough. I was a child of divorce and my sister definitely played my parents against each other and my dad used us as pawns to hurt my mom whenever he could. I'm going through similar with my 13 y/o daughter right now. Her mom has primary custody, but we've always been flexible on visitation, etc (the as agreed clause in the agreement), but lately she hasn't been speaking to me much and even refused to visit for a little bit. I think honestly, she's done that some to get a break from little brother and sister, but she's also manipulative and trys to play to emotions and push buttons. I'm just loving from a distance and supporting as I can. Her mom has been good about encouraging her to visit/speak without being pushy. We've also got her in counseling. It's just a tough age.
  15. Forgot about this one too. Meteor burger in Wylie (I think there is one in Richardson too). Pictured is their hangover burger(not my picture)
  16. I stopped in Butcher shop a couple of times last year and was disappointed. It may be more of a nostalgia thing for me too. I grew up going there with my Dad every time we went to Longview. Jucy's has always been good. I don't know if its still there, but was always a fan of Daniel Boone's bean n burger in Tyler.
  17. Had green chili burger, subbed jalapeno ranch for the mayo. Slammed.
  18. it's definitely going to be interesting to see what happens over the next year. I was thinking the other day that I've only been to maybe 4-5 movies in the past year-year and a half. While people will pay the $30 premium for a new movie, studios aren't going to be able to make their money back. We had my youngest daughter's bday party the other night and she requested a movie themed party and wanted to watch the new Mulan. We bought a $35 screen from amazon and built a collapsible PVC frame for it. Her grandparents have a popcorn machine and we bought some boxed candy to set up the concession stand. It was a semi movie theater experience for a handful of adults and a few close family friends for probably less cost than everyone going to the movie and it was fun. After that experience, id rather do that the go to the theater any more.
  19. My mom came from a blended family and was one of 6, however her biological mother had 1 miscarriage and gave 1 up for an under the table adoption. Dad was 1 of 2 though. I know 4 or 5 families (mid 30s-40s spouses) that have 5-6 kids.
  20. That's my understanding as well. I think the guy I knew got in because he had worked in various stores for 10 or so years before applying to be an operator.
  21. I had a classmate in my MBA program that started with CFA when he was in high school. Became an operator of a mall location after getting his undergrad. He said it only cost him 5k initially. Since then, he's added a second location, seems to be doing quite well.
  22. Just started season 1, and I thought the same thing. Would be funny if they could somehow do a Doogie Howser reference in season 3.
  23. Dave Chapelle's Equanimity is one of my favorites with him. Agreed on Delirious Gabriel Iglesias-I'm not fat, I'm fluffy Brad Williams-Fun Sized-I think he's a little known comic Chris Rock-Bigger and Blacker Someone upthread mentioned Kings of Comedy-Agreed. The Bernie Mack bit about his devil child niece getting cookies is one of the best bits ever. Used to quote that one all the time.
