  1. Well yeah, because the only right source is Sark himself. Christ we have mouthbreathing idiots here on this board and at the 9.95’s. Not directed at you.
  2. This. I restart it for basketball when I need it. They make it really easy to cancel/suspend your account. Between Sling and YouTubeTV I’m very happy.
  3. Translated for you. I’m confident that makes it clear as mud.
  4. I knew where you were going but it’s rare I get to talk fishing on here. We are in Quepos, CR. And I know some people that call a type of lure “doorknobs”. Actually there is a specific lure that is called a doorknob. Anyway, I’ll always have a soft spot for Cabo. Got hooked on billfishing there in 1983.
  5. lmao throw the last 15 pages of this thread into the trash.
  6. Those 50wides are for the marlin bitch baits. 99% of our bill fishing in Costa Rica is dredge fishing with teasers and ballyhoo for bait on 30 pound tackle. We occasionally pull marlin lures on overnight trips to the FADs which are 100+ miles out but there we mostly live bait or skipbait with dead tuna. I’m not a big lure or heavy tackle fan.
  7. Yup, life on the water does not suck. Was out there yesterday and already itching to go again even though the fishing has been crap the last few days.
  8. Cool we can grill and watch the game at my place.
  9. Ha. That is someone I know in Port A holding it.
  10. As far as I’m concerned that is WAY out of town. So see you at Shortys.
  11. Welp, we got a lot of dorado sandwiches. Found a great debris line with logs but the water color was awful, sort of a murky green. Could have filled the boat with 5 pound dorado but there was nothing else there. I think the biggest one we caught was about 10 pounds. Finally found bluish water at the end of the day and went 2/2 on sails. Fun time with good friends.
  12. You can also lease your mineral rights. You need a good landman in that area to tell you what’s going on. You don’t need an attorney, yet. With 100 people involved, good luck.
  13. Something to get us fired up about before fishing. . . . I never sleep well before the night we fish. Hopefully see something like this a few times.
  14. Please tell me it wasn’t at Margaritaville 😂. That property was completely out of place. Flamingo is awesome and likely (unfortunately?) getting ready to explode. We are back in Quepos now probably for the rest of the trip. Plan on doing some fishing here and golf at Los Suenos once a week for the rest of our time here. Plan is to head home a few days before the Alabama game so we can get to Austin but if the weather stays this good might stay longer.
  15. Been in CR for 3 weeks now without fishing but headed out tomorrow. Marlin fishing out 100ish miles has been really good - my friend recently went 33-49 or something on blue marlin over 3 days - but this trip wasn’t to do that so we will go out about 25 miles and hope for dorado for dinner and some sailfish mixed in. Tuna have been at about 40 miles lately unfortunately. Might get lucky and find a marlin or 2. Going to be looking for color changes or floating logs. No matter what it will be great to get back on the water fishing for the first time since April.
  16. I should be back in Port A in October so let me know when you are there and we can go grab a beer at Shortys. Weekdays should still be fine, it’s the weekends in the off-season that are just brutal now and I don’t think that will ever get better. Summer is miserable 24/7.
  17. They started serving it at midnight or 2 am at the MLK location when I was in school in the early 90’s, maybe everywhere I don’t know. But it was like $2.75 and it was glorious after a night on 6th street. Extra order of tortillas and load up at the salsa bar and I was good for 2 meals.
  18. A few other posters here are like me - privileged to have eaten at the original TC for years in San Antonio at Hildebrand and San Pedro. It was amazing fast food. I cut myself off from most of it by the mid 90’s, but the eggs Mexicana breakfast was still a solid choice for years after that.
  19. Easy for me. An aggy take on a Texas board. but you aren’t wrong.
  20. Flamingo. New marina. Whitish sand beach. It’s drier up here and in Tamarindo (they are about 20 minutes apart) compared to MA and Quepos and points further south and way, way less animal life and fishing not nearly as good. Overall I’ve enjoyed it and would come back but I prefer the central and southern Pacific. 1 more day here and then back to Quepos on Monday.
  21. Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo the last few days. Tamarindo was iffy at first but growing on me. See the attached pictures from there, might as well have been at a Four Seasons in the states. Looks the same. Loved Flamingo it’s more our laid back speed and great beach.
