  1. Yet the free market system has not sufficiently punished them for running a system that radicalizes their users with propaganda that is spoon fed to the user by the platform itself. Therefore, there must be governmental regulation banning this practice (or highly regulating it) with consequences sufficient enough to be a deterrence. The population must be de-radicalized, and removing the methods used for radicalization in the first place is the most efficient and IMO best solution.
  2. You called it ridiculous then agreed with almost everything I was saying. What you described is not true free speech in the American sense. So limiting what people can say online would be setting up a system of limiting speech. Which is exactly what I said needs to happen. And unregulated social media is absolutely the problem. The algorithm based recommendations system just creates echo chambers where people are sent rage bait propaganda over and over and become radicalized. That absolutely has to change before things can improve. Whether it's by removing the algorithm recommendations all together or by highly regulating the content they recommend. I believe removing them is the best option and you apparently believe regulating them is the best option.
  3. It's become clear that Americans are too stupid to handle free speech responsibly. They need hand holding to keep from believing the dumbest of things. That has to happen if this is ever going to return to any semblance of normalcy ever again. True free speech cannot work in the social media age.
  4. Social media of all types have been the kryptonite of freedom and democracy. It's given the upper hand to authoritarians who suppress information from the populace while free societies become corrupted with conspiracy theories and nuttery. The only way I see to make it better without going full authoritarian is to ban all algorithm content suggestions from social media. Make it where the people have to actually work to seek out the nuts and they most likely go back to getting news and info from the main sources. Then combine that with a ban on calling false information news. Force the fox News type people to have to put "this is opinion and not news. It may be completely false and wrong" in big font across their screen on anything that isn't fact based news reporting.
  5. So an Ojo/Roseborough tackle class looks more likely now?
  6. Democrats only had a majority in the house, and they definitely impeached him. Turtle fucker in the Senate killed it. That was a completely different situation. Republicans and their billionaire owners weren't losing millions and billions of dollars from Jan 6. They are now from this insanity. They don't have to impeach over tariffs. They could impeach over the blatant violation of the law, disregarding federal judge's orders, and violations of civil and constitutional rights on the no due process kidnappings. It's insane they aren't taking the option to get rid of him and save their wealth and power. It makes no sense at this point.
  7. Not sure. We've had a 100 percent tariff on BYD Cars from China for years now
  8. That's my point though. I knew they were spineless as long as they were gaining power and profit for themselves. They would allow any level of atrocity. But this is killing their wealth, costing the billionaires that bribe them wealth, and it's stripping them off all power. That's the ultimate level of spinelessness. They'll even sacrifice themselves. I just want to know if even one of those spineless cunts is even trying to keep his/her wealth and power.
  9. Does anyone even think there's talks behind the scenes in Congress to get the numbers for removing Johnson as speaker and getting impeachment? I would just like to know if any of the Republicans are even trying.
  10. It's hard not to when the republicans have moved fully into authoritarian fascism, and have brainwashed 40 percent of Americans that it's in their best interest. I wish they had given Bernie a chance in 2016 to really fight with liberal ideals, but they were never going to do that.
  11. Obama at age 47 had to fix the Republicans cratering the markets with the wars and mortgage crisis, and you think Obama at 67 is going to want to inherit this shit? That fucker is laughing his ass off sitting on whatever rich man's throne he's on right now. I bet he won't want any part of cleaning up America's stupidity mess. In 2 years of complete democrat control from 2009 to 2011 they steered the banking crisis and economy back on track and gave millions of Americans access to health care with the ACA. How many times since 2000 have Republicans had full control? What has happened when they do? What have they given us?
  12. The Japanese, Chinese, and South Korean markets are getting slaughtered on Monday morning. It's only a matter of hours before ours does as well. It's all the fault of Americans and the stupid fucks they elected, and the world won't forget this.
  13. The billionaires bought off politicians, especially Republicans, to offload their financial responsibility to the country to deficit spending. Combine that with a ridiculously wasteful and bloated DOD, that spends more than the #2 through #10 countries in the world COMBINED, and you have what we have. If at any time those two things got fixed would have rebounded a ton. But corruption and stupidity will always do you in eventually.
  14. The only Democrats I would put blame on are the Biden cabinet people who kept telling us he was fine and ready to go when he was falling asleep during prep for the first debate and obviously had declined heavily due to age. They should have pressed heavily to pull the plug on a re-election campaign well before the primaries. They didn't, and it cost us big time. That said, they get 1 percent of the blame. The other 99 percent goes to the fucking racist morons who voted for Trump or didn't vote at all. This should have been the easiest election ever, even far easier than 2016. Everyone saw exactly what Trump was during 2017 to 2020, 1/6, and the ensuing trials. The stupidity to choose that is far beyond anything ever seen before.
  15. Oh really?
  16. When does the portal close
  17. It was in the stairwell so you'd assume so
  18. This from the time stamp of 9:53 is damn funny. Of course we had to know aggy was involved
  19. You think GLBA happened in a vacuum? https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1992-04-25-fi-956-story.html Bush opened Pandora's box in a desperate and futile attempt to ease financial burdens in his re-election bid in the early 90s with banking deregulation that led down a dangerous path. That path led to GLBA and then the retard Bush's admin just blatantly ignored all the warning signs of the looming crisis. Just as Republicans are ignoring the signs of the coming crisis now. If you're going to attack people at least take your head out of your ass long enough to learn about the situation.
  20. Even the Chinese learned that the Soviet system was fucked up and they adjusted to a hybrid system that is open for business but oppressive on population. These morons are grasping at straws. The US decadence of the last 50 years is coming home to roost and their answer is to expedite the decline. The country is going to collapse economically as payment for all those decades of billionaires offloading their fair share to deficit spending. After all of this the foreign investment in US deficit spending, with Japan and China at the top, is going to decline drastically. The Fed will have no way to pay for deficit spending as it has been. What comes next is Argentina style money printing and hyper inflation. All this in a country that has over 330 million people with at least 80 to 100 million that blame Latinos and other minorities for their problems, about 65 million Latinos, about 50 million blacks, and 400 million guns.
  21. And the way to do that is indiscriminately tariff bombing the world? Nothing you said has any relation to the insanity of this situation. You want to disassociate from China? Slowly start making deals with other nations with the capabilities to produce goods to diversity the baskets. Whatever can be produced in the US would have to be slowly brought back over time with necessary Investment in infrastructure financed by whoever feels that risk is worth it. Declaring economic war on the world is not the answer. To any question.
  22. There isn't going to be any significant manufacturing brought back. No companies are going to outlay the expense to scale up domestic manufacturing for shit we haven't made for decades. The only way it happens is if the federal government pays for the infrastructure build to do it, then you have a situation where the government is paying and controlling the means of production. Hello Communism! What a crock of shit this whole thing is. All that's going to happen is we all get screwed on prices until Trump either relents or gets impeached/assassinated. Then the race will begin to put the bb's back into a box that was already destroyed. This is the beginning of the end of the US being the center of the global economy.
  23. Explain exactly how we are going to "undo it" and how using AI chat bots to develop an across the board tariffs policy based on trade deficits will get us to this mythical place you seem to believe we should go.
  24. '08 was also an own goal. Thanks, Bush and your lax ass regulations on banks
