  1. He's following the shit hole dictator role to a tee. You think this piece of shit was a Russian genius war strategist? Under his watch oligarchs plundered Russia's military of resources right from under the nose of Putin for 2 decades. Dictators don't want competent people around them, they want idiots who will do nothing but kiss their ass and tell them what they want to hear. We have no idea what Trump's morons will actually be doing, but what we do know is they will be stealing from us for themselves and telling Trump whatever bullshit he wants to hear.
  2. There's the CB they needed. Now one other DT, keep Charles and Sharma, sign Michael Terry, and possibly an OG
  3. Charles and Sharma will stay with Texas. They'll flip one other DT They'll take 3 in the portal. 4 if Savea transfers too. Stop shitting your pants
  4. That's the point. Not even 1 Big 12 team can match the talent level of even Aggy. They got raided by the portal and NIL and have zero wins as a conference against any teams that will even be considered for the playoffs outside of SMU, which itself has played nobody. They didn't play Clemson or Miami, the only two teams in the ACC who could be considered able to challenge the top 5 in the Big 10 or SEC. That's why I believe SMU gets handled on Saturday and Clemson goes to the playoff. If Texas hosted a first round playoff game would you feel more confident if they hosted ASU/ISU/SMU or Ole Miss/Alabama/South Carolina? Every Texas fan would want the first 3 because obviously the last 3 are far more talented and better teams.
  5. No I'm not at all. I've said the SEC is the best conference because it has the top end teams and even the bottom teams are talented and can rise up and bite you. The big 12 doesn't have any top teams and the entire conference is g5 level talent. Their "top" 2 teams wouldn't place top 5 or 6 in the SEC or Big 10. So what are the rest of the teams? They're a bunch of scrubs teams. It's a basketball conference now. So for the playoffs discussion it's important to note when a team has to play a conference slate of talented teams vs a conference slate of scrubs teams. The best win between ISU and AZ St is Iowa, who only played 1 team that finished in the top 8 in the Big 10 and lost to them by 28 points. It's a garbage conference.
  6. He's a guard/center prospect? That seems like such a weird flip. To Washington who can't compete on the field or in NIL to challenge in the Big 10? You want to skip out on one of the best OL coaches and OLs of the last few years for that?
  7. The committee has said the conference title game loss won't count against a team for the playoff. So the committee needs to decide this week which teams are in regardless and which teams need a title game win to be in. Then just adjust for upsets. They really need to keep record of this process then release it to the public after the playoffs are set. Be transparent with your reasoning.
  8. It'll be nice to see what happens. The counter to that is I think that TCU team was far better than any big 12 team this year. The last 2 years of conference realignment and portal/NIL have really decimated those big 12 and ACC teams from a talent standpoint. I think we'll see the gap got a lot wider in 2 years. There may be a single upset, but I'll be surprised if there's more than that.
  9. We've gone to the Cinemark XD near our house probably 8 times this year and not a single time has there been anyone talking or being annoying. I can't remember the last time I encountered that. Is that a thing? And holy shit at that Moana 2 number. I didn't know it was such a highly anticipated sequel.
  10. You can't look at a single game then translate it out like that, that's stupid, but you can look at the overall conference and see who did they play? Who did they beat? I'm not saying to keep them out of the playoffs. Put both SMU and Clemson and both ISU and ASU in if you want. Makes our road easier. But top to bottom there's far more talented teams that played far more difficult schedules that lost more games but would beat those teams. I'll be surprised if the playoffs don't expose every non SEC and Big 10 team in the playoff. I hope they seed it so those teams get Big 10 and SEC team matchups in the first 2 rounds and we can see for ourselves.
  11. I'm fine with it, but neither Clemson or Michigan are legitimately in the 12 best teams in the country. If based on how good they can be when playing right Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Alabama are better teams than Boise, SMU, or Iowa State. Probably better than Indiana as well. They just played schedules that are so much more difficult than those 4 teams that are ranked ahead of them. The disparity in schedule difficulty is insane. The big 12 only played 3 non conference games, and as far as I know Iowa is the best non conference win in the conference. It's the little sisters of the poor beating up on each other then calling the ones that only ended up with 2 losses playoff worthy.
  12. My point is the only big 12 or ACC team that deserves to be in the playoff is the conference champions, and that's only because they get an auto bid. Those conferences are so bad their conference champion won't be a top 12 team if purely ranking the best teams. Absolutely Florida could have competed for a big 12 title. Colorado did and they got hammered by a shit Nebraska team that didn't even finish in the top half of the Big 10. And the Big 10 only goes 4 deep with teams that could be considered good when compared to the top half of the SEC.
  13. South Carolina finished 6th in the SEC and would win the Big 12. The big 12 has a lot of teams close to each other so it's competitive, but those teams are all g5 level talent. Arizona St is playing for a big12 title this weekend and they barely beat Mississippi State by 7. At home. Their other non conference wins were over Texas St and Wyoming. The other title game team is ISU who beat Iowa by 1 pt. Iowa finished 5th in the Big 10 but only played 1 team that finished in the top 8 in the Big 10. They lost to Ohio St by 28. Hell we won a better version of the big 12 last year with one of the worst secondaries in the country. Florida might have won the big 12 this year. It's a bunch of low level teams that beat up on each other but no one else of any note. The playoffs will probably expose whoever gets in from the big 12, ACC, and Boise. At least we finally get to see if it happens on the field.
  14. When money got put on the table this shit got wild. Hard to really follow because you don't know which of your recruits some team is going to decide they want to make a break the bank offer to get. Kind of just waiting until Sunday to see where it all shakes out. I'm guessing we finish with around 26 in the class. Lose a couple, gain 4 or so.
  15. Gerry made a good point. It's impossible for Kirby to get his defense anywhere near as jacked and focused for this game as he was able to the first time. Human nature doesn't allow it. Our OL is better now than then. Same with Wisner. We have our identity. Quinn is the big mystery. If the line plays a lot better can he show a little consistency in production? He hasn't put together a full 4 quarters of consistency since game 2 in September. Even against Florida the game was so far out of hand at half he didn't need to do anything in the 2nd half. Beck has played a lot better since mid October. That will be a test for the defense, but our defense has gotten better as well. Toss up game. If we win it we get 3 weeks off before the playoffs. Lose it and it's 2 weeks and possibly the coveted 5 seed.
  16. Any ranking that has the big 12 as the second best conference is shit. There's not one big 12 team beating any of OSU, Oregon, Penn St. Indiana would have won the big 12 most likely. It's a conference with a lot of decent g5 level teams.
  17. This system is difficult because of the extremely unbalanced quality level of the conferences. SEC is top to bottom the best, Big 10 has some great top talent but a ton of garbage from the middle down, and the others are basically g5 level. Very difficult to judge a 1 loss SMU equally with teams that played SEC schedules. Clemson just got beaten by a mid tier SEC team, and I'll be surprised if SMU beats Clemson.
  18. Completely disagree. Nobody talks about "little brother" type rivalries with universities outside of sports. Nobody has ever said UT is Rice's little brother even though Rice is more highly regarded academically by most. Academics have nothing to do with it. It's all about football in this sense, and FSU and Florida are equals on the football field.
  19. We may have a more difficult time with WR in the portal this year if they just look at what Quinn's limitations did to Bond and Bolden's low production numbers and not focus on Arch being much better with the deep ball. Hopefully not and they're smart enough to see the difference. Also, hope Golden decides to go one more year to raise his draft stock.
  20. Who gives a shit about academic rankings for this? Both teams have 3 NCs and the Seminoles were the team of the 90s with a winning percentage of 89% for the decade. No one is little brother there. They are more like Texas vs OU. Aggy has never won a NC in football that matters. Fucking Hitler was invading Poland and football players didn't wear proper helmets with face masks when they last won anything of note. Not even remotely the same. If they don't want to be little brother they better win 4 NCs. Until then they're little brother.
  21. So we want an Oregon win, right? That way a win Saturday gets us the 2 seed and a loss still should get us the covered 5 seed. I would imagine, but with a committee who knows
  22. With Bond and Moore obviously injured if that dumb mother fucker had just put his head down and put in work he'd be logging big snaps right now. Even if he wanted to transfer he'd be able to build up his reputation in these massive games. What a fucking idiot.
