  1. I'm good with most of it and agree, most seems pretty reasonable. Having to wear them out on the streets, or anywhere outdoors really, is where I start to get beaten down. I'm so over this fucking covid thing. Trying to base a vacation around who has what for protocol/mandates and trying to predict who will have what in a couple months is a kick in the balls. I know...I need to be thankful I even have the luxury of being able to have that problem.
  2. CFA Signature status screenshot is the new corvette lease paperwork, brah
  3. Every show yesterday had that take, not just Bob and the hardline.
  4. Yeah! Everyone knows for the real, real-life stuff that actually comprises everyone, you have to go to surly texas. So many people fall victim to that way of thinking. Hard to find a healthy balance sometimes.
  5. So what are the current mask mandates in Belize? Not what's published, but what's actually enforced? Beaches, pools, restaurants, bars?
  6. Not a big Danny fan, but that Ron Kazzu breaking news line was pretty damn funny.
  7. Yeah, and when literally tens of guys from the internet tell him it's a great idea, he should know it's a can't miss marketing plan.
  8. Had the spicy Italian sausage for lunch today. Damn it’s still such greatness
  9. Finally got around to watching this last night. Agree with most everything said on this thread...except the extreme outliers who either thought it was shit or great. It was neither for me.
  10. Yeah, me too...which is why I bailed out. I think when I tried to order for pickup it was around an hour and a half. I assumed that was a mistake with the app, so I just decided to go try my luck in person. Apparently not a mistake. Good to know you can skip the line for pickup when you get there, though. Next time I have a hankering, I'll try to think about it way ahead and do the pickup order thing. Thanks.
  11. Carve out a few hours from your schedule then. Last time I decided to "stop by" to check it out (on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago), there was a line about 50 deep down the sidewalk that wasn't moving very fast. I called an audible at the line and didn't stick around. Maybe @HRSchenker can weigh in with some better first-hand experience though.
  12. Gotcha. You described your being "overly defensive" better than I did. You supported/defended them when things were good and then when things weren't, you always just kind of seem like you don't want anyone to talk about it. So, I thought you might have been an investor. Honestly, I never understood the love on here for either one of them.
  13. Curious if you are one of the guys who had money invested with either/both of them? Because you always seem a little overly defensive about it all.
  14. Here's my pass at it. Not sure how scientific/accurate this is. Tried just narrowing to my favorite 25 from the whole list at first, but that was a little overwhelming. So, then just tried to pick my top 2 in each category (mostly). Bumped those two against each other and this was the final result. The weird thing about this exercise is that I don't really care about my top 25. I know what those are and why I like them and why I go to them all the time. I'm much more interested in 26 through 104 and trying them out to see why other people like them and potentially having something new to put in the rotation. Anyway, here you go in alphabetical order... Al Biernat's Alice Banditos Bistro/Lounge 31 Bona Cattleack Drake's El Come Taco Gemma Hudson House Jimmy's Las Palmas Lucky's Monarch Oishii PT Neighborhood Pizzeria Royal China Sachet Shinsei Taverna Terry Black's The Charles Toulouse Uchi Velvet Taco
  15. Had to double-check that to see how bad I was exaggerating my point. Nope, not exaggerating at all. Here it is...$12 side of bacon. RH Brunch Menu They kind of sneak it in there with their other breakfast dishes, all of which are a stand-alone entreee. I remember asking the waitress what all came with the bacon. Here's a picture of it...
  16. Well, I guess if “taking one for the team” means hanging out at a place like that with a few hot girls (and a couple gay guys, who we love) then I’m happy to. First world problems and shit
  17. Marriott finally got around to doing a walk through and realized the building has been sitting vacant for over TEN FUCKING YEARS.
  18. Damn sucks if true. Lost my best friend to Covid a month or so ago. Worst thing I’ve ever been through.
  19. I went for Sunday Brunch once. Once. We all thought it was good, not great. A little overpriced, but you’re not really going there to get a lot of food at a reasonable price. But yeah, I remember there was like a $12 side of bacon, which they presented almost like it was an entree and it was just a few slices of bacon. It was damn good bacon though. View was good and space was cool. They didn’t have any hard alcohol when we went, just beer and wine, which seemed pretty lame. Not sure if they’ve fixed that. Despite being really hard to get a reservation, it wasn’t even close to full the whole time we were there. So guessing they are limiting capacity for covid/staffing issues. And yeah, the chicks dig it. Everything is very gram-able…food pics, scene pics, view pics, hard res to get so you’ll look extra cool just for having gone…all that bull shit. Struck me as the type of place where, once all the locals get a chance to check it out once or twice, it’ll mostly be for people who are in from out of town. Prepare your wallet, don’t expect to get real full, enjoy the view and some people watching, and just kinda take one for the team knowing you’re making your woman happy.
  20. Yeah no doubt. I’d never eat there out of town. In fact, I’d never eat any of his concepts out of town. Only reason I went to the Plano Toulouse was because a friend wanted to go there. And honestly, in looking back on our list for Italian, Taverna should rank pretty much bottom 3 in my opinion.
  21. Taverna for me is more about the experience and location than the food. The food is better than meh, but it’s certainly not great. I also think the 3 main OG Lombardi concepts in Dallas (Taverna, Toulouse, Bistro/Lounge 31) are better than any of their other locations in the “chain”. Lombardi and his investors all live here and visit those places often. I went to the Toulouse in Frisco once and it wasn’t anywhere near as good as the one in Dallas, and it’s only about 20 mins away in Plano. So to answer your question…yes.
  22. Yeah that was weird. Anyone know the details on this? Acted like a meteor hit his block, several close friends didn’t make it, and all the survivors came together to help each other.
  23. Back on topiic. Ironically I’m on a SW flight as we speak. No issues. LUV airport in Dallas seemed totally normal. Think I’ll order me a few cocktails and get this party rockin. Errr…damnit
