  1. Most big city libraries have a good selection of physical copy criterions. I know Houston and San Antonio definitely do.
  2. I’m pretty sure only the Friday event, the one where Aaron Franklin actually cooks, is the one that regularly sells out. I remember buying tickets to the Saturday and Sunday events like a day or two before last year.
  3. The author just plugged in the numbers (income=200k, race=black) into one of the models on the bottom of the table.
  4. Here's the description of the data set from the Faber article. Here is the main result table and its description.
  5. Great brewery scene in STL. Enjoyed all of these when I went there last year. Side Project Perennial 4 Hands Narrow Gauge (Very close to the airport) Urban Chestnut
  6. Acenar is in downtown and is owned by the same people as Rosario's. I'd put it above Mexican Manhattan and Blanco Cafe.
  7. Neely- 2 batter, 2 walks O'Donnell- 1 IP 5 ER Bad day for my fellow Churchill Chargers
  8. Old man and the Gun is more or less a homage to the career of Robert Redford similar to how The Shootist treated the career of John Wayne. Very sweet film and Redford does a great job. Apparently this will be the last film of his career and hats off to him. From Butch Cassidy to All the President's Man to the stuff he directed like Quiz Show, just a remarkable career. Heck even some of his latest stuff like All is Lost was absolutely spectacular. Sad to see he won't be in movies anymore.
  9. Crazy how this came out now. If I was a pub I'd be pissed because this gives Justin Fairfax plenty of time to establish himself as governor and keep the Democrat train in Virginia rolling. Amazing how no GOP operative found this during the 2017 election despite the massive amounts of money in politics these days. Complete GOP fail.
  10. He did also direct it though. Big fan of that film also. Very underrated flick. It was actually shot in Austin and the surrounding area.
  11. Ruth Bader Ginsburg 85 Steve Francis 41 Marcus Vick 34 Ron Jeremy 65 Diana Ross 74 Bill Snyder 79 Rip Torn 81 Bob Newhart 89 Dwight Gooden 54 Charles Grodin 83
  12. I think Texas 35th has got it beat.
  13. ACC basketball moving to 20 game schedule next year. https://247sports.com/college/wake-forest/Article/ACC-basketball-moving-to-20-game-conference-schedule-123737177/
  14. Upgrade is a really well done Sci-Fi flick. Sort of a like a science fiction version of Death Wish. Quite a few homages to 2001 as well. It didn't get much publicity when it was released in theaters but I think it definitely deserves its 87% on RT. Highly recommend.
  15. This is a cool website that shows the distribution of every score ever in the NFL. For instance the most common final score in the NFL is 20-17. https://nflscorigami.com/
  16. I just stayed at Guild a couple of weeks ago. The room was nice and had a lot of amenities including a washer/dryer, kitchen and even a record player. It did have a marijuana scent to it though. My big issue though was that check-in was a big pain in the ass. It's a long process where you park in a specific area in the garage , then enter codes to get into your room, then you take the fob from your room, go all the way back to your car then park it in a completely different yet very specific area in the garage. What's even more annoying about all of this is since you're in a parking garage, the internet on your phone doesn't work so you either have to memorize the check-in steps or make screenshots of all the steps. Also there's no front desk person, you interact with Guild through text or phone only.
  17. Maybe in specialty stores. There's a place called iBurn in Houston on Bellaire near 610 that has it.
  18. Not sure if they did this back then but UT frats do accept ACC students now. In fact, I've heard a few of them are nearly 50% ACC students now.
  19. The Canadian province of Alberta has a rat population of virtually zero due to a highly aggressive rat extinguishing campaign launched by their provincial government. Apparently it's a big news story if somebody finds a rat in Alberta. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/the-stirring-story-of-how-alberta-became-the-first-place-in-the-world-to-banish-the-rat
  20. Playland, owned by the guy who owns Rebelle and Battalion, just opened last week downtown. Pretty solid pizza with interesting toppings. Along with the pizza, I also liked the General Tso's wings. Definitely recommend
  21. He came in later. First year with WF was last year.
  22. Good to see yet another tank of gasoline being poured on a complete dumpster fire of a program.
