  1. I'm freaking pumped. This will be the first live football game ever for my 4 year old daughter. Going to have her geared up in some Horn swag and make our way over to Smokey's Midway before the game to hang out and have some fun. This is my first home game in quite a few years as well so I have a few questions. First, where the hell should we park? I was thinking about arrive somewhere between 3 and 4 pm. and am expecting a long walk, but I would like to make it as manageable as possible as I'm sure I will be lugging said 4 year old on my back to and from. I would love to get there earlier, but I don't want to totally wear out my daughter before I get a chance to watch some actual football. And since seating is first-come, first-served, is there a good section to target to get some decent sights/sounds for her? She is 4 so I'm preparing to have some ear muffs in case sound becomes an issue, but she (and I) would love to have good line of sight to the cheerleaders and pom squad.....and, uh, some football. Anything else I'm overlooking? Need to have decent cash on hand? My 2% aggie wife will be joining as well so I need to show her a good time as well.
  2. I have a friend going through the exact same thing w his 3 yr old daughter. Kick out of last school for hitting, biting, etc...essentially the school couldn't control her and recommended they medicate her. Our group of friend said that was BS and to get her to another school. That helped for a short time but the issues came back up and he's lost for solutions. As none of us have been in the situation, we're not of much help. I wanted to throw out have g her see a counselor for "play therapy" but thought it might be insensitive. I dont have any answer for you but simply know others are in the struggle with you. Would love for you to keep the community posted though as I think it could help others.
  3. I did find out costco has a 12 zone version
  4. Is this possible to do without any negative impact? Woot.com has Rachio sprinklers on sale today and I'm trying to decide if I should get the 8 or 16 zone system. Problem is, I have 9 zones (2 of which are drip). Is it possible for me to combine the 2 drips (parkway and front bed) without any issues so I can get the 8 zone controller?
  5. After. Loaded up a chimney of hardwood, threw a grate on and blasted away
  6. I dont have a scale but I'd guess I'm somewhere around 210# and 6 ft. I got a Tonal around Thanksgiving and freaking love it. Never could stay in a gym but love the convenience of going to my garage, pressing a button, and having a fully customized workout ready. If anyone is considering, hit me up for a referral code.
  7. This thread died like the Cowboy's chances for the Super Bowl. Wife got me an Anova for Christmas so I'm wading in the waters... Did this for New Years. Hoping to get some recipe inspiration for some stuff outside of steak here
  8. Mine is in the garage, if that helps
  9. Go ahead and download the app to start favorite-ing programs. If you have fb, join the official tonal group. There's a lot of weird stuff on it but some really helpful tips and tricks on it too.
  10. I'm a month in to using it and haven't missed a day. I love it. Classes are great and there are some really unique and creative ways to do traditional movements. The eccentric and chains modes are awesome. I'm definitely glad I went this route
  11. For the record, these are not for sale. We have discussed with our doc and the most they can do w them is show patients how to do the injections in office.
  12. Yea, it's wild without any type of benefit. Unfortunately, our first round of IVF failed and we decided to give it a shot with a second round (harvest during ice storm '21 -- pure stress). Even with our 2 rounds, it was cheaper than our good friend's cost of 1 round (~$30/40K). What we have isn't the whole regimen, but it would definitely help (about $7-10K worth).
  13. I'm not sure if this needs to be moved to another forum or what, so feel free to do what you will mods. My wife (and I - pics only of me) recently did IVF. Thankfully, all worked out well as our son was born this past month. We were fortunate to have benefits that covered IVF treatment but know that others do not necessarily have that option. We have a few of the drugs left over including an IUI shot, so if anyone is considering IVF or IUI and would like to save some $$ on drugs, PM me.
  14. I might have one I could sell you. Just got a new laptop and I'm not sure if it will work with my Lenovo docking station
  15. I'm curious if there is anyone in here that holds a FACHE certification. If so, have you found it beneficial to your career progression? Any distinguishable advantages you drew from it? I meet most, if not all, of the requirements to pursue it but I'm trying to determine if the juice is worth the squeeze..

    Gumbo

I'm kind of a gumbo rookie. Can someone point me in the direction of a good base gumbo recipe to start with? "Start with a roux..."...what's next?
  17. Got a baby coming in 3 weeks. I plan to spend my PTO making bolognese (pasta, meatballs, lasagna, ziti, etc), chili, gumbo, king ranch casserole, any other decent casseroles I can find. Gonna BBQ some primals and vac seal too. Or at least that's my grand plan until I'm taking naps every 2 hours like the niño
  18. Rectec sucks as a grill. It maxes out at 500* and the heat conductivity is just really poor. As a smoker, it's okay. You have the set it and forget aspect but the smoke flavor isn't there, even with tubes. I was looking at a Lonestar Grillz insulated cabinet but that's some serious coin ($5K for what I wanted). The Kamado seems like something that won't get me shot by my wife.
