  1. I have a 22" WSM, Weber spirit gas, Ooni Pro, and Rectec 700. I'm thinking about selling my Rectec and getting a Kamado Joe Classic III and Fireboard Drive 2 (for both WSM and KJ). Talk me out of it it.
  2. Apparently Slorch's boyfriend doesn't mind the smell of his taint. I played golf in some Puma mostly-poly blend today (another Costco purchase) and it just trapped in the sweat and was close to giving me a rash. I've gone the ExOfficio route and those stretched out in about 4 months. I don't quite know what I'm looking for but maybe commando is on the table....or I'll be a grab bag of boxer briefs and do a trial run with a bunch of brands.
  3. 3 year bump. I'm in the market again I don't mind my Kirkland brand as every day wear but I need something that is more summer and/or work out friendly as my ball stench/swamp ass gets otherworldly at times. I also must have a power stance when I take a dump bc the elastic waistband gets blown out after 6-10 months. Any new recs? Must haves: 1. Comfort (No crowding) 2. Breathability 3. Durability
  4. No shit? Learned something new today
  5. I've replaced one a long time ago at an older house. I am a little confused, you discharge the contacts on a new capacitor? That won't short it out?
  6. AC service guy said one capacitor is reading 50% and wanted to replace. Does anyone know how long a capacitor at 50% will last (months? Years?)? What is a reliable source to buy the capacitors from? TIA
  7. I don't know if this is like hopping in an XBox thread asking about the latest Playstation....but does anyone have Tonal or have any experience with it?
  8. Headed to Jackson next week but staying in Driggs. Any other recs other than those outlined within? Any of those places not make it due to COVID? We have a 4 year old so we won't be doing anything too strenuous.
  9. https://rosewoodblock.com/ FYI, they were resistant to cnc the longhorn bc of trademark, so I sent them a separate non-trademark that their machine couldn't work with. From there, it became a battle of wills
  10. Breaking the lube out tonight
  11. Well, I got too drunk last night. Looks like brisket is tomorrow
  12. Pizza for today. Brisket tomorrow.
  13. I thought you were joking...and maybe you still are, but it doesn't looking like it applies to real estate
  14. Well that's pretty cut and dry. Guess I'm locked into this syndication shit for a while.
  15. I have an investment property being sold in the near term - said property is an apartment complex that I was part of a syndication deal. I've kind of lost my appetite for this syndication stuff, so I'm considering using the profits to fund an improvement project at my primary residence. I understand the rules with "like-kind" are fairly lax, but I'm wondering if I'm risking pretty big financial consequences by not completely understanding 1031. Is anyone aware if this would be of significant concern? If I needed to obtain a consult of some type - would it be a real estate agent (residential or commercial?) or CPA? If it is of significance, the home project it would be funding is a backyard oasis.
  16. Good option. My only concern is there's only about a quarter in clearance between the sprinkler pipe and pool drain pipe. Should I be concern if they contact each other?
  17. First, although I'm a moderately handy guy, pools are pretty new to me. I just realized why my pool would drain into the yard vs the sewer or other recognizable outlet. I have at least 1 broken pipe on the drain side (see picture). I told my pool guy yesterday and he kind of huffed and puffed, but when I can back out after he left I still see a pvc pipe with no repair done. With that, I'm going to take a stab at it. I could easily repair some pipe w 90* bends in it, but what is the best way to fix an inline break? Any watch outs I need to consider?
  18. I've got to travel behind enemy lines today (OKC) but will be back at it tomorrow evening. Will report back with findings. I did not find a twist connect and did not strip the wires. I wasn't sure if they just hand twisted them together or not. I'm assuming not. It just seemed odd that out of 5000 sq feet of yard space, I find a spot of an extraneous connection
  19. Well I just ran every zone without them tied together and they work. I'm going to just flag the spot and keep on trucking
  20. Just so I understand correctly, tie the red and white wires at 5 o clock (in pic) together?
  21. So I was digging a short line to lay some flex pipe from a down spout. I ended up running into some irrigation wires and am wondering if I really screwed something up. As a note, I do have a pool so I'm sure the pool guys reworked my irrigation. Do I just tie the 2 together? Any chance they're just 2 loose wires? See below
  22. I've been trying to find some dimension for the past 3 weeks but siteone has been totally out. Am I screwed for waiting so late? What alternative do yall go with? 75078 (north tx)
  23. So, after studying the sun patterns over the past week it looks like I will need predominantly shade loving plants in the beds. There are only 2 or 3 spots where maybe 4+ hrs of sun will hit. Based on the spreadsheet above, any idea how I should diagram this out? Any other options I should consider?
  24. Fair enough. I'm probably going w it bc it is the most cost effective at something like $25-30/cu yd. And I typoed, it's dyno dirt out of denton. I have some pretty grand ideas for the landscape but need to figure out some details like pH before I plant. First set of pics are post freeze but before the start of renovation project. I already removed the dead shrubs. The spreadsheet are some plants we're thinking abt. Prosper zone 7b (1990 map) north facing so we have majority shade but some sun in a few spots.
  25. Edit: although it looks like dentons stuff is called dynamic dirt but it sounds like it's the same stuff
