  5. Lupes is a shit restaurant in the giant strip mall shit part of NB. Not surpising that douche would be there. However this place has a ton of crazy MAGA.
  6. This is fucking bullshit. I guess I'll take the cooler air though.
  7. I played Oregon Trail for about 5 hours today while working. It was glorious.
  8. Headed right at me, which means I won't see a drop.
  9. What's funny is that at the time I wasn't angry because the hospital staff and nurses were all great and knew what to do, because it's not an uncommon thing. It was only later that I realized that this situation is now threatened by complete fucking imbeciles who have no idea what's at stake.
  10. Figured this would be the best place to put this. About 20 months ago, my wife had an ectopic pregnancy that almost killed her. She was having massive internal pains that she thought was from a pre-existing ovarian cyst situation that she'd dealt with for a number of years. She's a school nurse and her assistant called me to come get her because she had passed out at school. I took her to the ER and we found out that she was pregnant (what??) ... she went into emergency surgery and had it all removed, which was technically an abortion. She would've been dead within 48 hours from internal bleeding if we hadn't gone to the hospital. All well and good after that, but I didn't even think about the fact that it was technically an abortion. Flash forward to today, and even her own parents are still Trumpers. It's really really fucking hard for me to not just rip into them about it, but they are also our childcare when we need it and are for the most part really good grandparents. Meanwhile lots of her friends's friends that we know are all redneck trumpers too and it's so hard for me not to just go off on them about it but she doesn't want to advertise it. I really want her to just type up some long fuck you post on facebook between now and November to guilt trip all of those pieces of shit and basically tell them that they are voting for a system that would've forced her to die at home. I don't blame her if she doesn't because it was a traumatic experience but I hope she does.

  14. To each his own I guess, but I thought it was the worst of the 5.
  15. Not unless you're 25 years old, or you grew up in Arizona.

  17. I think that was my first one. Never read The Stand, but have watched the 90s miniseries more than once. How different is the book?
  18. Pre-ordered this and read it in like 2 days. Like most of Hellers books, it's beautifully descriptive and really gets you in the feels. Unfortunately like some of his other books, the ending feels rushed and leaves you wanting more. Gave it 4/5 stars.
