  1. What’s maddening is that the actual Politico article on the topic which included the CNN clip…it’s not at all what the clickbait caption would have you think. It’s an analysis of Harris’ tactic of not really focusing as much as some might expect on the issues of racial and gender identity. They have some decent discussion about why it doesn’t have to be a “thing” as much as it needed to be for prior candidates. Fuck that clickbait garbage tweet. It’s irresponsible, when considering the lack of critical thinking skills and attention span of the population. I’m sure their defense would be that they just wanted more people to read a very good, important article. That’s an unrealistic leap of faith, IMO.
  2. Are you talking about the dove hunt connected with the Bell County Bar Association golf tournament? I’ve heard a story just like yours for a long time around the courthouse there.
  3. To clarify…”voluntarily” does not mean that I don’t think that she has been manipulated by him to choose to do things that he wants her to do if that makes sense.
  4. Has it been discussed on this thread that someone on a fb group posted that their daughter saw the two together having a good time at a bar Thursday night and that she told them that he was going to jail soon for something he didn’t do to her? And that she was in fact just trying to spend some time with him before that happened? I just assumed that the ditching the phone, etc., was done voluntarily by her so that her parents wouldn’t track them down and she could spend more time with him. I use the term voluntary strictly to mean that she was not threatened or forced to do so.
  5. If this fight happens, I’ll pay $1,000 to the charity/fund of the winner’s choosing. I would, however, request that I be allowed to opt out of all of the cum stuff.
  6. US Gymnastics is appealing, claiming that they have video proof that the inquiry was lodged within 47 seconds, so it should be honored.
  7. Yeah, except that all of the investigations that are ended upon resignation still have records and those records should be available under Open Records requests. Also, in the vast majority of files, these jackasses have been written up or reprimanded for all kinds of bad shit before the really bad thing that gets them forced out. The problem isn’t even this complicated most of the time. Gatesville PD hired a cop last year who was fired less than two years prior from Killeen. Fired for misleading his supervisor to establish probable cause and get authorization for a strip search. It’s plain as fucking day right HERE IN HIS FILE THAT I’M STARING AT WHILE I TYPE THIS. For extra LOL’s, a year before being fired he was all over local media for an excessive force incident (that he was demoted as a result of). Not enough people give a fuck. They never really looked into his history. Of course, they are aware now, since I sent the records to a friend of mine one who was prepping a trial involving the officer. And yes, the officer is still on the Gatesville PD payroll somehow.
  8. Also even if you do not intend to kill anyone, you can still be prosecuted for murder, under the felony murder doctrine. Specifically, the deadly conduct by discharge of firearm felony would be used to actually make a murder charge under those facts.
  9. Agreed. Just say, “the local PD was tasked with just making sure no one got on the roof and they didn’t do that.”
  10. Maybe not right leaning posters, but there are a lot of DixonHur’s friends who will be voting for Harris now that we’re sitting out before.
  11. Dan Patrick thanks you for your financial support.
  12. Let me clarify. I’m not saying that the premise is wrong, but personally, I’m not going down that rabbit hole until people go on the record, not anonymously to attribute specific statements and beliefs to Pelosi, etc.
  13. I think most of your premise lacks credible sourcing.
  14. It’s just confusing because your friends HATE Trump, but will willingly help out him back in the WH. Assuming they aren’t dim AF, they understand what a disaster that proposition is for us and future generations. Like a 6-3 or 7-2 SCOTUS packed with Justices like Alito and Thomas are currently, but just don’t care? But they DO care enough if it’s Kamala Harris on the ballot? I would vote for Stoops/Switzer over Trump if they were Dems.
  15. Who gives a shit. That report is fake and honestly, needs to be nuked from this thread.
  16. An automatic rifle would have resulted in a much different outcome, casualty/fatality wise. Guess a gun law actually did some good in this scenario…not that anyone on Trump’s “side” will admit it though.
  17. But the quote in that article did not actually say that was the rule.
  18. Her quote doesn’t actually say what her assertion about it does, but whatever.
  19. It will continue to run as long as a bunch of people are actually willing to believe that SS protocol would be to let a would-be assassin get a round off before neutralizing him.
  20. You just did that thing again that you keep doing on this thread.
  21. Yes. Because the bloody fist pump isn’t some next level gladiator shit.
  22. Casualty /= fatality
  23. I was just stating that if Barrett’s concurrence did not include certain holdings of the majority, then future cases would be decided the same way on that particular issue, meaning 5-4 with Barrett agreeing with the three dissenters here.
