  1. This. About 1/3 of my practice is in CPS court, and they live for situations like this.
  2. You are still millions of times safer traveling the gauntlet on 35 in Temple than you are almost anywhere in Killeen.
  3. I just learned that “Allie” was Pete’s gf in real life many years ago. Also, I really enjoyed I’m Dying Up here. Didn’t realize that it was cancelled.
  4. Fuck your cloak room race-adjacent troll post.
  5. https://www.kcentv.com/mobile/article/news/local/temple-police-officer-accused-of-sexual-contact-with-a-child-faces-felony-charges-bell-county-district-attorneys-office-says/500-a5b0baec-b1d0-4fea-9fb7-f5dcd6ea2738
  6. Doesn’t the article quote the parties involved, who say that either they received no threats or that the threats didn’t factor into their decision.
  7. Keep in mind that this same DA, less than 2 months ago, in front of the same grand jury... had a Temple P.O testify under oath, while on paid leave, due to him being investigated for felony criminal conduct. I can’t speak to what that conduct might be. However, I can tell you that he is not allowed on TPD property and currently has an injunction prohibiting ANY communication, or contact with any of his minor children. They give no fucks.

Flood plains render the half mile estimate laughably inaccurate.
  9. I’m pretty sure that I had to be reminded once every month that they won’t serve you if you walk through the drive thru.
  10. Carnival has a significant amount of people riding scooters for non-recreational reasons.
  11. I have several cases involving this scenario. CPS steps in, and the parents either agree to send the kid to a residential treatment facility, and if they do not cooperate, the State takes legal custody and places him/her there. Additionally, the juvenile justice system seems like an option too. Neither of these options is ideal, or desired, but they are miles better than having a bunch of people get injured or worse by children with those issues. I see mention of the school fearing lawsuits. They should also be concerned about lawsuits filed on behalf of people injured by kids who were not appropriately dealt with in the first place.

Read, like the last 8 posts on the thread. Whether a wall like the one in Israel would work or not is a useless discussion, because: 1. It's not at all possible to duplicate on the southern border; and 2. Trump's plan isn't like that either.
  13. On the bright side, it’s very likely that the vaccinated people will suffer a shorter duration/less severe set of symptoms.
  14. Of course. What difference does that make though? The numbers calculation still results in a “no-brainer” decision to get the flu shot every year.
  15. Ok. So, I assume that you think that Cohen was lying about other things in order to save his own ass/flame POTUS, when he testified last week? Then...why wouldn’t he just concoct a nice Russian collusion story? Its weird because you and DOTUS seem to cite Cohen testimony as proving no collusion with Russia. That’s a really convenient credibility cherry pick.
  16. Currently, without socialized medicine, insurance companies make those decisions, not the patient.
  17. Makes sense. My main doubt was just based on My assumption that he would have used the term “abortion pill”, because his “people” love that term.
  18. You don’t really think that’s what he was referring to, do you?
  19. What’s a “weirdo district”?
  20. The average BASE salary for APD officers is just shy of $70k. BASE. 16 years of service, that number hits over $98k.
  21. Ok. Cool. Hook ‘em.
  22. No shit?
  23. My wife has co-workers that have taken sick days, fucking over the rest of the staff, in order to care for their flu-ridden children, whom they did not vaccinate. im sure it’s frowned upon, but that should be grounds for termination, in my opinion.
  24. I came here to make my first post on this thread, but you rendered that post obsolete.
  25. Where is the confirmation that law enforcement was doing the filming? Obviously makes some sense, but I hadn’t seen that and don’t want to assume anything.
