  1. Mitchell is asking the questions that the GOP members have requested her to ask. It’s not really her personal belief or even professional judgment on display. No one said that she was iny need to be “neutral”.
  2. I’m withholding judgment until I see her question Kavanaugh (if she does).
  3. I think you mean that because Fox News is against confirmation, Trump will take their advice and act accordingly.
  4. I keep seeing conflicting accounts of who will be questioning Brett.
  5. Who gives a fuck? Swetnick did state that she saw BK in a line outside a room waiting his turn to run train on a drunk female.
  6. Why doesn’t the GOP leadership want an investigation? That’s what I’m asking.
  7. No clue. Give us your theory. Also, make sure to give us your explanation for the scenario where BK/the GOP have his nomination withdrawn without having the hearing.
  8. Polygraph questions are always “yes” or “no”. Not sure why the need to point that out.
  9. Yes, and yes.
  10. That was done, as it states in the report.
  11. The report refers to asking two “relevant questions” which refers to the “meat”. The baseline questions would. It be referred to as the “relevant questions”, IIRC.
  12. Not sure if this is over the line or not...but...pics?
  13. ... which is why they ask control questions with easy obvious true responses. ETA: The point is not that polygraphs are dispositive. They are just a piece to be considered with everything else.
  14. I concur. We use “pled” more than pleaded.
  15. That, and it undercuts the assertion that Ford concocted this lie as a political stunt to keep Kavanaugh from being seated on SCOTUS.
  16. And Trump/the GOP senators are cowards for reducing to let the FBI investigate the claim.
  17. I never said that they were reliable enough to be admissible in court proceedings. You would know that if you could/chose to read words and understand their meaning.
  18. Setting aside the absurd irrelevant Cruz comment (becUse he’s about to make his move)...you would agree with me that they should also have the better, more experienced individual question Kavanaugh too, right? I really hope they aren’t so ill-advised as to have her only handle Ford’s examination.
  19. Bless your heart. Point me to where that case hold that polygraphs have zero probative value? You do an excellent job of proving that it is not admissible, which no one has claimed otherwise.
  20. I kinda feel like I should be able to hold my senators accountable for their words and conduct, but that’s just me. Also, the willingness to bring in “independent” outsidelegal resources to aid in the SJC “investigation” seems tough to square with “fuck no we can’t have the FBI address this allegation.” And again, I REALLY want to know if the same attorney will question Kavanaugh.
  21. I agree with the importance of the actual questions asked. The issue I was addressing was Iconoclast being the latest graduate of the Rocko School or Law, Wikipedia Campus. I will say though, that it’s disingenuous to assume as fact that “if they were legit questions...”. Of course, if you subscribe to that school of thought, then it would follow that only a credible person would DEMAND and FBI investigation, and that MORE witnesses be involved.
  22. I think that the two entities are unrelateda that this website is not a medium of communication for the Federalist Society. I could be wrong though.
  23. Still waiting for your citation in support of the assertion that “SCOTUS has ruled that polygraph evidence has zero probative value.”
  24. If I were Ford, I wouldn’t testify either at this point, ESPECIALLY if the senators are going to personally question BK, but not her. If I were her attorney, I would show up, read my statement, throw around a ton of copies of my polygraph results, and then throw up deuces. Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed, because either he is innocent, or because the process is being rigged. There is no purpose or upside to her participation in the shit show. As far as the general public goes, her appearance isn’t going to convince anyone that won’t feel the same after hearing her statement or seeing her go on 60 Minutes.
  25. So they are afraid to ask the questions, because they do not feel that they are able to do so without fucking up? They are probably correct in that assessment, but that’s an indictment in them and not anything else. Also, where is Crusher, who earlier called us morons, insisting that Ford was insisting on the outside counsel option instead of the Senators?
