  1. I would honestly be on Chandler's side if we wasn't such a bitch about it.
  2. Yes that's why I was saying your post didn't make sense. I assume he was at the arbitration meeting but the Astros argument had to have been prepared before he got here.
  3. They are saying it sapps his power after the surgery.
  4. Would you try to lock up Abreu now before trying him as a starter? I know relievers are notorious for being up and down so there's that potential negative.
  5. I would disagree with this move but you can always be wrong
  6. Brock Cunningham needs to somehow get another year of eligibility
  7. And that's why you go up with your left on the left side of the basket
  8. 15 turnovers and the worst transition defense I've ever seen might have something to do with it
  9. The failure on pick and rolls on defense seems to always happen when Disu is in
  10. If you're referring to the Carr turnover on the inbounds how do you not call that?
  11. Rice struggling on defense.
  12. I wonder what the Astros could have gotten for trading Whitley at the 2018 deadline after his suspension.
  13. Does Steve Finley not count?
  14. I love Uncle Mike but REALLY?
  15. The Astros try the majority of their pitchers as starters in the minors. Most projections didn't see it panning lut for him or that it would take a while. Also if you seriously think Chas should have been a top 100 prospect you can't be helped.
  16. I'm moving to Denver next month and will catch at least one of the games.
  17. Alright fine you roped me into responding to this terrible post. Abreu is a reliever. Starters typically are the only ones making top 100 list. Luis Garcia was ranked #67 in the 2021 list by Keith Law. Javier was never ranked in by any of the major sites for their top 50 or 100. Valdez wasn't ranked by any of the major sites. Chas wasn't ranked by any of the major sites. Urquidy wasn't ranked by Law ever and snuck onto the Baseball prospectus rankings in 2020 at #82. On the other hand calling him integral is a stretch. In the regular season he was below league average with a 98 ERA+. In the postseason his only appearance was in the McCullers blow up game IIRC. Your one victory lap would be on Pena. Baseball America had him ranked #72 in 2022 and Prospectus had him #100, #82 and #16 in the last 3 years. Law only ranked #2 on the Astros only prospects list in 2022.
  18. I was just looking at the Braves recent drafts and it had some interesting info. They have been super pitcher heavy since 2020 with iirc 8/9 of their top picks being pitchers. This last 3 it was 3 hs pitchers. I wonder if that was more of trying to fill holes in their system like the Angels or something else.
