  1. That vehicle needs some long, wavy key scratches. Lots of them.
  2. Yeah, I occasionally click on it for news, but end up sifting through a ton of shit for a milligram of news. I'm not a smart man.

According to my GP and others whom I've seen about my back, back surgeries are tricky, and more frequently than I'm comfortable with result in no improvement or even further degradation. Right now it hurts infrequently enough and I have enough range of motion that I don't want to risk surgery that may or may not give me relief and full range of motion. As things progress, that may change. The brother who had the diskectomy had about the same amount of pain for a while after the surgery, and got a little better range of motion. As I understand it, the pain is still low, but he doesn't have the same range of motion. He also still gets back pain at about the same frequency that I do. That's less frequent than before, but still uncomfortable. Unless you have an injury, back pain is largely caused by carrying too much weight in the front. And too much weight in the front often causes back injury, or makes one more prone to back injury. My brother and I both (he more successfully than I) have greatly improved our back problems by losing weight, stretching, and working our cores. I think that it has helped us both more than surgery would.

I've discussed that with my doctor. He doesn't recommend it now, but may in the future. One of my brothers had it done and got very mixed results, so I'll just wait.

I have a ruptured disk that intermittently does this to me. Sometimes it's like your case, temporary and low duration, and sometimes it lasts a week or more. Sucks, but nothing I can do about it.
  6. My niece's fiancé brought this back from Rwanda for me recently. It is delicious, but a little goes a looooong way.
  7. Maybe by the time it gets through the atmosphere it will only be the size of a chihuahua's head.
  8. If you're wondering where the laid off/fired government employees are going to go, who do you think will be expected to build our buildings, pick and process our food, and bus our tables after the deportations are done?
  9. Gotta love a mugshot with that kind of joy in her face.
  10. The smell of freshly mowed wild onions.
  11. That just proves that there's no damn excuse for the mail to be slow.
  12. I'm very sorry for your loss, Brisket. It sounds like your dad was an awesome man. I wish that I could have known him. RIP, Papa Brisket.
  13. "Wah!! A guy who's supposed to be objective didn't suck our dick on national TV! Then he didn't apologize for not making us happy! Wah!!" Silly aggy.
  14. I just called to check, and my jury duty scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled, pleasing me greatly. I value juries, and am always willing to serve on one. I've served on seven so far. The last one was so bad, though, that I'd just as soon not do so again, if I can help it.
  15. That's an impeckable answer.
  16. About 20 years ago the City of Bryan had a contest to suggest a tourism/development slogan. The winner was "The Good Life, Texas Style". A friend of mine sent in "Bryan: At Least You're Not In Hearne". Don't know why that didn't win.
  17. The new City of Lubbock tourism tagline: Lubbock, less depressing than College Station!
  18. I reckon it's the sleepy little town of Pascagoula, but I could be wrong.
  19. There aren't going to be any war crimes trials from this war. That's not how the world is anymore.
  20. Scheißenfreude
  21. I have a feeling that, when aggy stumbles this year, we'll be treated to a lot of texags posts with his picture in Longhorn gear and conspiracy theories that he is in collusion with the evil 'sips and even more evil Schloss. And I'm looking forward to it.
