  1. Fucking fascists.
  2. You're close. Keep looking down the path shown by Germany, Italy, Spain, and Hungary to see what happens in 2026.
  3. This assumes that the $12 billion will be paid out. And if it is paid out, it will go to ADM, ConAgra, and noted soy bean farmer Scott Bessent. I doubt that any "little guys" see a dime of it.
  4. I love the thought of Senator Jasmine Crockett. Imagine her questioning a trump nominee for any position. My only concern is whether she can win a statewide seat in Texas. Redneck, racist, sexist Texas.
  5. I want the delicious spectacle of aggy losing to Miami and missing Georgia for yet another year.
  6. I have no idea where they got the oakum from. It had to be in storage at the shop, because the repair was done late at night, and no stores were open. It was a strange night.
  7. America is the land of huge expense for capital improvements, but hardly a dime for maintenance. In all of the plant improvement projects that I helped with we specified the pumps, blowers, and other equipment based on best value over the expected life of the equipment. We spent a lot of time and effort to get as close as possible to the actual maintenance costs needed, then put the anticipated annual maintenance costs in our budget requests every year. Every year the finance department took those specific numbers out and put in their own, much lower, numbers. Then they wondered, every damned year, why our maintenance costs exceeded budget every year. When you add that maintaining burried utilities is difficult, expensive, and inconvenient, you get ancient, decrepit water and wastewater lines that fail more and more frequently. In 1992 assisted with a repair on a broken water line on the courthouse square of the city where I was working. The line was installed in 1912, and was made of oak barrel staves. Basically about 500 feet of two foot long, 12 inch diameter oak barrels. We repaired the break with PVC and oakum sealant and got it back in service that night. That city did not replace the barrel stave pipe until around 2006, from what I was told. That is not uncommon, especially in smaller cities with very limited budgets.
  8. I'm not too pissed about him sleeping. He can't fuck shit up while he's asleep. No, I'm more disappointed that he keeps waking up.
  9. A federal requirement for low flow showers was implemented some time back. Just like the low flow toilets and faucets, it was to help with water conservation, and it works well. But when you have terminal opposition disorder, can't nobody make you save water by taking a "weak" shower. The shower heads are more difficult to modify, but it's generally not hard to remove the required regulator from the faucets and shower heads. They still work fine, they just let fuckheads waste water.
  10. That SEAL admiral needs to be introduced to a yardarm.
  11. Don't forget the horrible and vile people who follow and enjoy her shit. We need for the stocks to make a comeback.
  12. Lonesome Dove - overall favorite and top fiction The Lord Of The Rings - second fiction Summerland by Michael Chabon - third fiction Battle Cry Of Freedom by James McPherson - top non-fiction Lone Star, A History Of Texas And Texans by T. R. Fehrenbach - second non-fiction Empire Of The Summer Moon by S. C. Gwynne - third non-fiction Goodbye To A River has to be in there somewhere, too.
  13. Refusing to play in a bowl game is whiny bitch-assed shit. Backing out of games already scheduled because they may be too hard is whiny bitch-assed shit. Nut up, motherfuckers. Damn!
  14. The "Dear God, what the fuck is that?!"
  15. ICE sure thought so.
  16. 7th grade, Brenham Jr. High, Ms. Zuma. She was proof that God exists and knows how to obliterate junior high boys' minds.
  17. The Ma Deuce will never die. It's practically perfect in every way.
  18. Since I retired I have become more adventurous in my eating, trying things like sushi (why did I wait so long to try that?) and other things I avoided before. I have almost universally found that I didn't know what I was missing, and should have branched out before. So I will try snails if given the chance, and have learned to appreciate well prepared eggplant. I've even overcome the trauma of the C-ration Ham and Lima Beans and learned to at least tolerate lima beans. But liver, sardines, and beets can fuck all the way off. Growing up I was forced to eat all three, but have not done so since I moved out on my own. Miss me with that shit.
  19. That's a real "Fuck you in particular" moment.
  20. The ones who could and did vote thought only about fucking over the ones who aren't eligible to vote, not thinking that the inevitable end of that course leads to them getting fucked, too. Oh, well..
  21. This right here is why you don't raise your children to believe that they can do whatever the put their minds to, especially if they're stupid. Daaaamn.
  22. The fall makes me feel bad for her, but the funky chicken just before the fall kills me.
  23. Who hasn't ridden on a bike that they broke in half twice (at different places on the frame) and their dad welded it back together both times? Is that not normal?
