The whole "Is she black or is she Indian?" stuff reminded me of an awesome takedown I got to witness almost 40 years ago. I was working in deep, deep East Texas, The Land That Time Forgot, when two rednecks in the crew started discussing mixed marriage and bloodlines. One made the argument that even one drop of black blood made one black, no matter how many white ancestors one has. The black member of the crew chuckled about it, irritating the rednecks. One asked him what was so funny, and he answered that he was just amazed at how much more powerful black blood is than white blood, if one drop of black blood negated all of the white blood. I didn't think that those to could get any whiter, but they did. Even their necks turned white. I laughed, which was also not appreciated. They didn't discuss such sensitive topics in front of the rest of the crew anymore.
