  1. You cannot be including Apocalypse Now in this statement
  2. If you're in DC, New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts they pride themselves on getting involved.
  3. If you drive through without stopping you are protected by the Firearm Owner’s Protection Act. If you stop for any meaningful period of time, you’re not. You cannot bring a firearm into Massachusetts without registering it with the state, which you cannot currently do (to cite but one example). And as for taking it into certain cities? You’re toast. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but taking an unregistered unlicensed firearm of any kind into some areas is a felony. Leaving it in your car is a felony. Taking it into a hotel is a felony.
  4. You should know you cannot do that. For one, gun laws change all the time. There are many states where you cannot have a handgun at all, since you are not a resident and do not possess a license. There are many states where you cannot possess a so-called "assault weapon." There are many states where you cannot possess a "large capacity magazine," usually set at anything more than ten. There is a least one state where you cannot have a semiautomatic firearm AT ALL (including shotgun). There are many states where you have to have a license to possess a firearm of any kind and you will not be eligible as a non-resident of that state. There are restrictions on pepper spray, stun guns, or certain sticks in some locations. NRA-ILA's map is helpful, but I would be very careful in relying on it and would check it frequently for updates.
  5. Politics aside, about once a month I look at my FB friends and play a mental game. If they are not somebody I would be genuinely happy to see in person, or would walk across the street to say hello to, in person, I unfriend them and move on. Simplifies everything.
  6. Hard to go wrong with holy trinity of .30-'06, .270, .308. All fantastic deer guns.
  7. Great take on Apocalypto. It's a masterpiece and the ending is astounding.
  8. I think it's more like play time is over. They are barely functioning and now the weight will be crushing and he knows that. Part of him wanted to fail I think. That's how he's been acting, anyway.
  9. I think there's a strong chance the review is excellent and people are freaked out because it means they're in the big leagues. That's my guess.
  10. No, because she already knew they were not organic. That's the whole point.
  11. Yes because we do not have any of those
  12. Because we have kids and they need to eat too
  13. This morning, in an accusatory tone, out of completely fucking nowhere: "are you usually buying organic?" Me, totally perplexed: "what?" "When you go to the store are you usually buying organic?" "Yes, I know you like organic fruit so that's what I buy. Why are you asking?" "The grapes were not organic." "Then why didn't you just ask me why I bought non-organic grapes? The organic grapes looked crappy." "Because I didn't want to ask about the grapes. I wanted to ask about everything. The fruit lasted all week and looked good and I wanted to know if it was organic. I wasn't attacking you. Why do you get so defensive?" What I thought: "I could, right now, probably write down 25 different ways to ask that question about organic fruit that made sense and were not judgmental, but that would be a total waste of time because your brain is completely screwed up." What I said: "I have no idea. I'm going to go brush my teeth."
  14. riboflavin whenever my kids ask questions about food and nutrition I just start talking about riboflavin. Please understand I have no idea what riboflavin is. "Do I have to put milk in my cereal?" "Yes" "Why?" "It activates the riboflavin."
  15. Browning Superposed 20 gauge is by far the best shotgun I have ever shot. It's a perfect shotgun. HOWEVER they are a minimum of 40 and may be 70+ years old.
  16. Thanks for the heads up on that. I try to be careful but one time used guinness as part of a short rib braise and had to make something else for him. A good reminder to check every ingredient. That's on her. She shouldn't be eating gumbo.
  17. Do any of y'all have any experience with gluten-free flour roux? I have a family friend who has celiac disease and I would like to accommodate him.
  18. We ditched DirectTV and went YouTube and are very happy so far.
  19. I met him at the Alabama LSU game last year. He's a nice guy.
