  1. I thought I got flamed for voting for Trump. Voting for Trump is not the same thing as endorsing his behavior after the election.
  2. reminiscent of my favorite part of Life of Brian. "You're all individuals!" "Yes, we are all individuals!" "You're all different!" "Yes, we are all different!" "I'm not!"
  3. I seem to remember that happened after the election. I do not hold Trump blameless for what he did (nor do I hold many of the Republicans involved blameless). My biggest regret is that more of the rioters were not shot. You can't just storm the Capitol building.
  4. No not at all. Just like I didn't think some of the problems we were seeing under Trump were his fault, I don't think the majority of the problems we are seeing under Biden are his fault.
  5. Your BIL sounds like a douche. But you guys don't know me and I don't know you but it's super easy to just assume the worst about each other on the internet. I'm not a Fox News guy and generally speaking think things are way more complicated than either side wants people to believe.
  6. Some of inflation is Biden's fault but overall the main problem has resulted from COVID and its effects, including shutdowns and the reactionary stimulus payments. How do you put cash into a system without causing inflation?
  7. I think the truth is complicated. I'm not sure I know what "the truth" is in the context of our current political situation.
  8. We did our honeymoon in Sorrento and I'd hit Capri and Pompeii but otherwise eat drink and bone
  9. Biden is doing an awesome job so far, unless you drive a car that uses gas or need to buy groceries (or anything else). Also, his promise to control COVID has been a total winner so far.
  10. read the thread dumbshit I posted several examples
  11. You're not not apologizing, or you're not not not apologizing?
  12. Do they have merit badges in the Democrat Super Scouts? If they do, you should get one for this speech.
  13. You people clearly have a higher opinion of politicians than I do, at least the ones on "your side"
  14. Hey at least you're not humorless. You've got that going for you. You're right. A petition from staffers is a big deal. Huge. Boobert's gonna get it
  15. Context matters. My comment about members of each party calling each other insane liars was in the context of drumming up a partisan staff petition is not a big deal. You could probably gin up its equivalent in any state house in this country right now against some member or another.
  16. lol get the fuck out of here with your dimestore psychoanalysis what a fucking joke, in addition to being unbelievably smug and condescending I'm fully aware of what I am and am not saying, and I never drew any sort of false equivalence. This place is such a circle jerk echo chamber, to the point where you don't even read what people say, you just assume they're running a play out of some playbook and you jump to the end.
  17. There isn't. It should be done frequently. Obviously I need to clarify what I was saying. I made the following incontrovertibly true statement: 1. The parties call each other liars. I did not make the following statement, which appears to have been assumed by the posters in this thread: 1. Republicans do not lie Relying on a petition from partisan dweebs does not make a strong point. It is stupid. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of Boebert, including the fact that she appears to be at least mildly retarded, and then whatever issues you may have with her politics.
