  1. I get what you are saying, but it depends on what you mean by "character." I agree that the country would be a better place if all of our presidents had his morality and integrity.
  2. buy it sorry for your loss
  3. More like 1500 but not all usable space
  4. Buy a house in Alabama and you too can have this layout. It's an older house that basically had this renovation done by linking the garage attic to the main part of the house with a new roofline and then refinishing and climate controlling. It's really brilliant, and I thought my agent was going to buy it when he saw it with me for the first time. The only other mark of distinction is that Jimmy Carter is alleged to have stayed there once. This was revealed to me at the closing by the prior seller. She saw it as a point of pride. I looked at her for a while and then said "well, I'm going to buy it anyway."
  5. It's even better than that. Our master suite goes like this: 1. enter bedroom. 2. turn right for Mrs. bathroom 3. turn left, go through door, walk-in closet 4. go through walk-in-closet, through door, small hallway 5. turn right for Mr. bathroom 6. go straight, through door, for den/office above garage I can go into the office and close four - FOUR - doors if I want. It's like an episode of Get Smart. I love my house.
  6. what did he rub them with?
  7. We have two entirely separate bathrooms in our bedroom suite. Adjoining our bedroom is the wife's bathroom with a very large whirlpool tub. Then you go through my bedroom, through a walk-in closet, and then there's my bathroom, with its own shower. Honestly it is fucking paradise.
  8. The hookers, man. It killed him. Everything else can be swept under the rug, but every AD in the SEC knows that all anybody has to do to recruit against him is this: "Mr. SEC Coach, thank you for coming, but my son has decided to go to Tennessee." "Well, Mrs. Smith, that's a fine school and I'm sure that your family thought a lot about the best fit for your son. And for what it's worth, Coach Freeze is a good man. He has changed. I would not worry at all about him getting Leondray around prostitutes or involved in anything like that. That's all in the past. Well, good luck to you." "What'sthatyousay, Mr. SEC Coach? What's all this about prostitutes?" "Oh I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and it's all in the past. Coach Freeze has put that behind him and did a really bang-up job at Liberty. You know, if you'd like to come visit us at NOT TENNESSEE and see our campus, we'd love to host Leondray for a game." "We will be there, Mr. SEC Coach."
  9. yes absolutely. He's toxic. After what he did, he can't be a head coach in the SEC.
  10. Best place to go is ih8mud.com and look at the 80s classified section. Most of the ones being sold there, while expensive, are owned by people knowledgeable about them who have taken care of them.
  11. I've thought about this more. As long as you didn't mind going slow or have to go too far, or didn't do it every weekend, you could do it. I think it would be a fair trade for all the great things about the 80 series. But again, I'm a Land Cruiser nut.
  12. this is the worst cheeseburger I have ever seen
  13. I've towed a Montauk with one on relatively rolling hills and it was "okay".
  14. Yes. It would change it from "that's not possible" to the original assessment of "that would be hard." Here's the reality: the FZJ80 has a 212 horsepower, in-line 6 with 4.5L displacement. It is geared very low, and its relatively large displacement and torque make it a very serviceable driving around vehicle (even on the highway) that really excels when it gets off the pavement, and then goes totally bananatown when put in low range. In fact, you would have a tough time finding a BETTER vehicle for towing something off road. But on the road, it just does not have the horsepower to tow something heavy. I've towed maybe 4500 pounds with one before, and uphills are a slog. It's a passenger vehicle. It's a high-level off-roading vehicle that was civilized just enough for the American road system. But it does not go fast, it does not accelerate quickly, and it does not tow well.
  15. 80 series is the best of the bunch (though overpriced for now). But they will last. Live front axle, the in-line 6, just very, very reliable. By far the best off-roading vehicle I have ever owned (I've had two 80s, a 100, a FJ55, a 200 and a late model Tundra, and nothing comes anywhere even remotely close to the 80). They are very easy to work on, and very easy to modify. Great all around vehicles. I miss my 97 40th Anniversary 80 series every day.
  16. The 80 is terrible at towing. It's the best car I have ever owned but it's not good for that.
  17. Phil is the worst dude in the world. Watching his stupid plan blow up in his face is a complete delight.
  18. Fuck St. Urban right in the throat spasms. Can't wait to watch him fail
  19. you will love it. I have a 2014 and it's outstanding. Only downside is gas mileage is atrocious. I've been driving Land Cruisers since 1994 though so I'm used to it.
  20. Not sure if this has been posted, but Chef's Table - Dario Cecchini is excellent and I highly recommend it to any steak lover. https://voyageofthemind.com/2020/05/31/chefs-table-companion-episode-2-to-beef-or-not-to-beef/
