  1. At this moment I am more scared of Kansas than WVU
  2. Every Kansas fan in attendance should get to go join the locker room celebration imo
  3. Based on Diaz, Robinson, Bedford, and Orlando I think we just need to hire a new DC every year because somehow our defense is always awesome with a first-year coordinator. After that things seem to get dicey.
  4. Y'all still holding a grudge against Mack need to chill out. He was a net positive for this program, by a huge margin, beyond any doubt. Things went off the rails at the end there and pushing him out was the right and necessary thing to do, but he can't hurt you anymore. It's not like this is Art Briles or Joe Paterno we're talking about, his failings were fielding a mediocre football team and being thin-skinned/egotistical. As far as bad guys among college football coaches, he doesn't even register. How you gonna root against an old man taking one more shot at redemption?
  5. That scholarship line is so bogus, it goes up because the cost of tuition goes up, but it's not like these guys were going to be paying full fare and the school gave that money away. The dorms already exist, they're holding the classes already, in most cases the actual cost of sticking a football player in there is going to be negligible. It's absurd to suggest that the actual cost to the university of having 85 extra students is anywhere close to what they're paying for Tom Herman and his assistants.
  6. These are fantastic. The service academies are pretty reliable when it comes to having some of the best uniforms of any given season. And those Navy dress whites uniforms from a few years back are still some of the greatest ever. Don't know why they haven't brought those back at some point. Also imo we should keep the TEXAS but yes the collar longhorn should go. I still would not hate a matte white helmet at some point.
  7. “We won’t miss our most productive receiver with a habit of making clutch plays that were basically the difference between a win and a loss in several close games” is a homer-ass take. We do have good WR depth on paper but come on, if he was coming back nobody would be saying “ho hum, who needs him.” Not saying we won’t be ok or even quite good at WR but we’d be in a better position with him, pretty much by definition. Especially with Sam who, for all his strengths, doesn’t tend to hit receivers in stride downfield. Having another tall physical guy (along with CJ) who could stop and beat the DBs for those jumpballs complemented Sam much better than a track star type WR. Same deal with him producing YAC a lot of times even when he caught the ball with a defender already attached to him.
  8. Man it all just makes me sad that he's not back. We damn sure could have used him, and even if he never bled burnt orange his attitude clearly didn't stop him from showing out last year. IDGAF if he viewed his time at Texas as a springboard to the career he was hoping to have, that's what college is for. But now it doesn't look like he's got the career he was wanting and we don't have our top receiver and it seems like a big lose-lose.
  9. For $3 mil, yeah, I'd find something else to do for 12 days of the year. I'd miss it like hell, don't get me wrong, but maybe I'd just spend most of football season drinking on beaches in Fiji and skiing in Switzerland and shit.
  10. Hasn’t “Q” gone dormant a couple of times only to have a new account start posting claiming to be Q? My guess would be it’s been multiple people/groups of people.
  11. Are you kidding, they’re running around saying this 100% proves Q was right all along and going on about how this proves that every politician and actor is involved in the Luciferian ritual pedo cabal. As opposed to, you know, some gross old dudes wanted to bang teenage girls, as has been the case since the dawn of time, and there were people who would arrange sort of thing for the rich and powerful. As has been the case since the dawn of time.
  12. We tend to punish politicians for getting specific about what they want to do. You get specific you’re bound to step on someone’s toes. You just talk about how you believe in America and shit, everyone can just imagine you’ll do whatever they have in mind.
  13. So I assume you’re in favor of robust paid leave policies and subsidized childcare and affordable healthcare for pregnancy and birth and kids? You know, the kinds of things that would make having a child realistic for middle class people who want to be smart and responsible as opposed to just having kids whenever and further trapping themselves and their offspring in a cycle of poverty?
  14. It's how we've gotten to the point where it's not uncommon to see someone claim, without a hint of irony, that white Christian males are the most discriminated-against group in America.
  15. I’m so sick of the Dems = identity politics line. Identity politics is the ONLY thing the GOP can run on because they have no actual popular policies. Dems are out there running on health care plans and shit, the GOP is just running the same fucking War On Christmas playbook ramped up to 11 so now it’s about look out white man your country is being overrun by messicans and mooslims and feminists and they want to tell you Santa isn’t white! Central Americans are invading and it’s an existential threat, Minnesota is under Sharia law, and illegals are voting to steal the elections!!! And it’s all nothing but a cover to take health care away and cut taxes for rich people, which nobody would vote for if they just said that.
  16. Wow that "America Under Attack" logo on the local news clip is ridiculous. It looks like a sticker you'd see on a skateboard. We're under assault by Islamic x-treme-ists!
  17. I kind of prefer random shitty advice president to the usual. “Sorry to see you’re car broken down! Maybe check the oil level? If not fixed fast, must find another way to get to work!”
  18. No, she’s not. She just has to go out there and face these questions, and when asked she has to say something, and the truth is not an option so here we are.
  19. Taking a short break from nearly a decade of continually crying about and promising to repeal that legislation Nancy Pelosi got passed to point out that Nancy Pelosi has never passed any legislation of significance
  20. I think Alex Jones said it best. Let's all just say this loudly and persistently to him whenever he pops up.
  21. Why? Alex Jones inspires terrorism in the US and abroad. Jones spreads dangerous misinformation and works to convince people that their lives and their families' lives are directly and actively threatened, then calls it a false flag when they believe him and act accordingly. Armed people have showed up at pizza parlors and public libraries to intervene in situations because Alex Jones tells them children are being harmed. He and his organization have been hugely influential in spreading birther shit, Islamophobia, and the white nationalist "great replacement" narrative. He doesn't have the reach he did just months ago, precisely because people got aggressive in calling him out and for what he does and asking various companies not to provide him a platform to keep doing it. Playing clips of him and calling out his bullshit for what it is, pointing out the obvious and knowing lies (because he contradicts himself so often), and diving into stuff like his background and ties to legit scary fringe militia movement types all seem like worthwhile stuff to me. I wish he was still just that kooky local eccentric Keep Austin Weird conspiracy guy who was in Waking Life, but he's been an important influential figure in a lot of really horrible shit that has gone down in this country. And it was allowed to happen unchecked in large part because "serious people" didn't take him seriously. Well guess what it's not 2007 anymore and the maliciously propagated viral insanity on the internet is a really big deal with really big real-world repercussions. And part of the problem is it went unanswered for too long.
  22. That’s not Trump writing (spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure) and it seems like a really weird thing for someone else to write.
  23. I have to admit it feels kind of plausible that Trump is dumb enough to have been played like a fiddle by Russia without ever understanding that’s what was going on, and also that he’s enough of a pathological liar to have lied about everything despite having nothing to gain by doing so.
