  1. Well yeah. You probably did this stuff. But in this case the security is dudes with rifles and such and more importantly eyes and ears, spread around to pick up threats. When a unit gets wiped TF out, it's almost always from skimping on this step. Crew-served weapons being the big crankers where you want some sort of fire plan, figure out dead zones and how to make them uncomfortable. The commo part shows when I learned it in the 90s where "setting up commo" involved voodoo chants at a PRC 77. I bolted to become an Austin Hippy before I got to play with anything newer but I imagine you'd seldom have it not turned on and ready. All this would be happening simultaneously about 12 seconds after you have security set up. But Elon doesn't know that. And so we mock him. Canadians thought I was Canadian. One Mexican taxi driver thought I was Russian.
  2. It was so Communists would melt if they said that.
  3. Pat yourself an "attaboy" on the back, Lootenant.
  4. Point of order: Greatest Generation got their uniforms from the Quartermaster, not Wardrobe.
  5. That actually sounds kind of hard. Unless it's just the basket that's underwater, and you the weaver are sitting in the shallows with a refreshing beverage.
  6. Elon's idea of forests are the green pixels on a game map. There is no need for or meaning in old Köppen gibberish like Csb or Cfa.
  7. We know you really busted out through the roof.
  8. Just had an idea. Carry scrawled preschooler drawings. Attach them with refrigerator magnets to back panels of Cyber trucks. Profit.
  9. Put these 3 in the right order: set up crew-served weapons, establish security, set up commo You can save the planet AND Mars by "shooting the cag" on Mark Zuckerberg. Describe your actions step-by-step. Listen to another human for 5 3 2 minutes without checking phone.
  10. only if you want to overheat it.
  11. When in doubt, if a fast-food manager doesn't like it, you probably aren't far wrong.
  12. Her pulse was probably maxed out. She still accomplished the mission. Nobody really knows what they'd do in great stress they didn't train for. Except for Italians.
  13. Big Important Texas Kiss-My-Ass-I-Know-People beach house dude.
  14. It'll be on his record when he dies and goes to hell.
  15. You wanna turn around and act like an insurance company?
  16. God forbid we get rammed again, calling this guy will be one of the first things I do. Also, he wasn't on a billboard or a phone book. Got his name from another lawyer I used to hang out with at the local pizza joint bar which was like a New Jersey train station hangout lovingly rehomed down the street. Very discrete place, you show respect, you meet some respectable business men, everybody takes care of everybody.
  17. Not much for what he accomplished. Maybe less than 1,500? He got his cut from the settlement so it's not like I had to pay it upfront. It wasn't just the extra money, it was a cease-and-desist on their condescension and drag-assin. They originally just wanted to fix our vehicle, because that's how you settle the hash of those dumb Alabama rednecks, but we got better than that plus some medical treatment down the line included. A friend of mine got rear-ended about a year later, I passed on the lawyer's name, he did the same for him.
  18. Did the praying team win?
  19. You overhear the dangdest things in those infusion cublicles. I fought ignorance for twenty years at lower-middle-class wages. Not even raising an eyebrow for free. Unless it's like a kid trying to stick a fork in an outlet. And even then, it'd have to be a nice kid.
  20. Did not know you could buy model railroad palm trees in 1/1 scale.
  21. Damn. It's almost cheaper for you to just eat the dollars.
  22. Reminds me when I found some baby's socks in the debris dropped in our yard from tornados.
