  1. Tumor in the head is GONE, maaaaan.
  2. While this is still going on, fly to Manzanillo and go to this one seafood place I visited. When they come to take your order, Just tell em "No need, I already got what y'all gave to RDCanecutter." No wait. I told it wrong. It was the deli hot lamp fried chicken in that grocery store that abutted that little mall in Colima, Plaza San Fernando I think it was. Except Street View tells me the grocery is gone and there's a movie theater. Now the joke might still work-- in Mexico you can walk into a cinema, plop down 5 bucks worth of pesos, get a movie ticket, drink, and some sort of big-ass hotdog. OK, with inflation maybe budget 7 bucks. Now the enjoyment might be lessened by shitting all over the seat, but they generally have an intermission down there so you can go wipe your ass and then come back in the dark and choose a new seat.
  3. I've been lucky so far in family craziness. We've had a couple of faith healers, except when it's them personally getting sick then it's off to the hospital (and I'm glad, because they were about to die.) But other than that, and maybe an occasional relative going berserkergang and actually killing somebody, nope, nothing weird here. tick tock tick tock
  4. The children who made those shoes may have children of their own, making shoes, by now.
  5. @MaybeACoordinator told me I'd like that, as he wandered my neighborhood seeking critters, as part of a trip winding across several states based partly on Pokemon Go hotspots. He showed me a critter lurking near my front lawn, kinda spooked me. At the time I was rocking a very early iPhone that barely kept a charge, so I never tried it. Between Silencio and Duolingo and actually trying to finish art commissions, I would probably fail the SAN check if I took on another.
  6. Sounds like what somebody'd say who's about to slam Iran up against a wall.
  7. Or training? Or not sent in meatwave attacks? Answer to all questions is the same.
  8. ...Ne nomu ĝin reveno, mi estas ĉi tie dum jaroj.
  9. Today I figured out how to check in to locations. Basically just use the "check-in" option while standing next to a large business, Then BANG same number of coins as walking 40 minutes. Which I still do. Established a big square and now I'm noodling around inside it. The map appears to show some ghost roads that have been built over, I'm still getting tricksy to find and walk them. Tall buildings appear to exert a force field (no doubt blocking one direction of sensors) that knocks the tracker off, which is how I ended up inside the jail earlier today. It'd be cool if the NoiseCoins turned into some sort of funny money down the line, but the real value is the exercise. I mean, I was decaying before I started playing with this app.
  10. We here in Alabama are surprisingly similar to the US in several ways.
  11. I recruited Mrs. Canecutter. Gonna put her on the street earning me some NoiseCoins.
  12. It's actually the first thing that MAGA (singular MAGVM) have done that I respect.
  13. Per my part-Danish wife, just learn Norwegian then get a shot of novocaine
  14. I dare you to smear a half-melted chocolate bar on your ass and then call the nurse.
  15. Come for the cancer, stay for the heat stroke.
  16. I noticed that the app is a little wonky when first powering up, and will show me standing 20 yards off one way or the other. I have been using this to get credit for hexes that I couldn't get to without trespassing. Stand by the neighbor's fence, turn it on, and zing I'm in their back yard or maybe in their house. It will be mine it will be mine it will be mine mine mine.
  17. Don't even get me started about most folks' sword-and-shield technique these days.
  18. It's difficult for your balls to drop if you sit around clenched up in front of a spit-speckled mictophone.
  19. I'm guessing that 50% of all adults couldn't point towards the north without digital assistance.
  20. Reminds me of when I was the butt of generational humor-- some old(er) guys in the Smokies speculated that I knew nothing about churning butter. In fact I did not, yet remained psychologically unwounded. I am bewildered by ute's inability to pick up a coin until I remember that it's been the 90s since I grabbed a few quarters before I'd walk out the door. The hell am I gonna buy with 50 cents these days? When they first created US coinage, a cent was worth about a damn dollar now. It'll all either go away at some point, like snuff boxes and boot knives, or else get changed to something useful, like Euro coins or those big 50 Peso coins you could sling like throwing stars. We must all help each other. For example, once my very young Javascript instructor needed to mail a physical letter, and had no idea how to do it. The rest of the class got quiet. Finally, up stepped the Grey Wolf, me, and I walked him through it patiently, like he did with my fumbling programs. Circle of life.
