  1. I knew they'd make America Great Again. I had no idea they planned to make it James Bond Freakin Awesome.
  2. About damn time. Coffee break's over, everybody back on your heads!
  3. We all start where we start. At least they're outside.
  4. Los Moneros de México (Rius 2004.) Mexican cartoonists from 1820s to 2004, done by and for cartoonists. Each page would be worth a Master's degree of study to fully understand, or, like me, you can just admire the technique and look at the funny pictures. Got it in a tiny bookstore on an Acuña sidestreet when I was prowling for a different book. Glad I found this one instead.
  5. I'll never forgive them for dropping the "von." I do like their schtick, lots of hunting paintings for people who don't hunt, and always a piano lurking for people who don't play piano. The main dudes probably own 50 bucks' worth of physical gold between them. Aw hell they're right down the road in Auburn. Maybe I could get a job as their dueling master.
  6. Don't remember the exact game or year, I was a broke-ass student sharing a duplex off Red River with 4 to 10 people depending on weather patterns. Woke up game day and saw people trying to park. Scratched out a crude "Parking" sign and proceeded to funnel cars into our common area driveway. Acquired dog-choking wad of cash. Kept it all because the other hippies didn't wake up. Shuffled down to stadium and bought scalped ticket for peanuts, enjoyed game. No doubt ended up at the Crown and Anchor or a random party, and blotted further memories.
  7. Looks like a slow version of me taking my 95 Geo Tracker up Bumpgate Road in between Pipe Creek and San Geronimo. What a fun little gettabout. In other news, I saw a Cybertruck trying to park next to my local CVS. Took em about 5 tries to get it lined up right. Kinda like War of the Worlds when the Martians are dying, and the machinery still twitches a little.
  8. For existing... and maybe just a little bit for being a jackwagon.
  9. I kinda like to think that the Nazi version stood up pretty well itself on the moron chart. Wanna make it about racial this-n-that? Your boy Hitler was rockin a North African Y haplogroup. Nothin wrong with that, kinda not-quite Northern European if that's your obsession. Go sit on a cushion and eat some lamb and calm the fuck down, Dolf. Then Aryans, yeah, they existed. More heavily in Ukraine, Poland, Northern France, even Ireland than in Krautland. That's right, Horst-- Paddy McVomit has more male ancestors who rode in from the east wrecking shop than you do, you Aspergery Bog-Man Booger-Eater.
  10. I expect video evidence of @Brisketexan watching the game, swaying back and forth with a bierstein, bawling out "Ja, JA, JAAAA, Ja."
  11. Looks like some weird little forum of disturbed fuckers who'd all be better off if the got out and planted some tomatoes instead of perma-arguing. I am sure glad I am not mixed up on some site like that.
  12. If y'all are current on cholera and dengue shots, I'll invite you inside my home studio/print shop. It's a small bedroom w/bath on the NW side of the house. Mrs. Canecutter abandoned it to me more than a decade ago and is not to blame for anything you see. What's got me jazzed is this large battered shelf thing that I got as a gift from a gallery. It doesn't look like much, but ohhhh... It's Fortune and Glory kids, Fortune and Glory. Up til now, I had table space for drying maybe $200/day of block prints. You can knock those out in a long hour, but then I was cramped and had to stop. This thing will hold an extra $1,200/day of production. That will be tiring, but my goblin greed is strong. I can take all my designs and do a good chunk of each, and have them all dry at the same time. I think it'll easily jimmy back into that space in front of the west window you see behind it, get some good beat-down warm sun on the prints. In art school I always heard about how painters craved the north light, but I suspect that had to do with expats freezing in a Paris loft while begging maMA and paPA for more money. Me I like bright colors, bright light, and heat.
  13. Can she, though? Probably requires some minimum effort and 15 minutes of non-crazed reality perception.
  14. We should send that bullied orphan kid some beer money via Paypal.
  15. We paid for roof, walls, floor, heat pump, and insulation. Fuck going outside before it's warm and toasty.
  16. Today Mrs. Canecutter and I took a drive and dropped by a friend's Yoga/Jewelry/kinda shop where she lets me sell my cartoons, or at least the ones that don't include cussin/drankin/smokin/fightin type things. Every couple of months it's worth a run out there to restock and harvest a little paycheck. This time, we're talking, and BAM I take a gut check. "Sorry, I gotta hit the bathroom, like, now." Storeowner is from South America and she knows exactly what's up, points me down the hall. Men's room is locked. One stall women's room. So I identify with my X chromosome and leap inside. What follows next is the experience of being a Golden Corral soft-serve dispenser as a field-trip's worth of middle schoolers takes turns hanging on the lever, then start coming back for more. It's a rope. Halfway through, some dude tries to get in the bathroom. Nah. I am not moving and leaving a slug-trail of butt-goo in this carpeted building. Takes forever and uses a ton of paper. Three flushes and there's still a chunk on the back of the bowl. I have claimed this toilet for the King of Spain. I get back and the women are looking at bracelets. Much ribaldry. I start to talk, pivot, and sprint back. Fast work this time, I just blast a little consommé and done. Chunky speck is still there after fourth flush. If we had been on the road, even 5 minutes from an empty stall, woulda been baaaaad, man.
  17. I am glad you added that last word. My health-inspector bro-in-law tells me that dedicated hot dog joints are actually the cleanest places he sees. When I visit Mexico and eat street dogs, I am the picture of health. Eat at the "nice" places down there? Shitting out earwax and toenails.
  18. Maybe you just like three-week-old shredded carrots?
  19. Galofaro's seen some shit.
  20. Your Inner Dos Equis Man got you this result.
  21. If you ain't first you're last.
  22. It's even better when you're in the little consultation room and you hear them talking about you through the door. I got cancer, bro, I'm not deaf.
  23. I recommend an actual old-timey percolator for making coffee. We hit on this after eventually breaking all other, more "advanced" devices. Much smoover coffee. Also, maybe try making cafe de olla. Basically boiled in a cooking pot with loose grounds, and some cinnamon. You scoop it out with a ladle. These two take a little time. Just start em up before you get in the shower. Then, yeah, I guess put em inside something cool, and you're good.
