  1. Early 60's birth cohort was a neither-this-nor-that. Technically in the same Babyboomer slot with the young adults who were born right after WW2, our fellow-boomer babysitters were from some other world. We played with what would one-day be Gen-Xers except at the time they were gullible little kids we would trick into doing stupid stuff. We were like the Britons watching the last Roman Legions leave Hadrian's Wall, but instead of classical civilization leaving, it was the world going from Hot Wheels, Johnny Quest, and belt whippings, to More Hot Wheels, HR fuckin PufnStuff, Sesame Street, sticky Happy Meal toys, and timeouts. (I bout puked the first time I saw some brat get a timeout. The LAW was sacrosanct, and this was a mockery of it. Go pick a switch.) Yeah I know y'all got videogame x, movie Y, and music Z. I enjoyed all those as well. I'm only like 2 years older than your Gen X big sister. How's she doin, anyway?
  2. No Double-Oh-Seven guitar riff for you then.
  3. I'da talked to him and asked for shit. Ambassadorship to the Zapatistas holed up inside a building at the UNAM. An authentic solid gold Trump statue paperweight. A nice new van with (peel-off) MAGA stickers. Secret lair inside Yellowstone. Lemons, lemonade.
  4. hope their sniper fantasies include bringing sufficient snacks this time.
  5. A hardworking man who'd be a Democrat except he heard your city-slicker ass talkin down about him Ah done tolt y'all before: local cops thought he was some kind of LEO, SS thought local cops had control of the rooftop. It was a goat-rope, a circle-jerk, Murphy's Law, donut-induced stupor.
  6. Enjoying hot dogs and cold coffee at a coin show in Iowa. "Mr. Secret Service! Mr. Secret Service! Earl CLEARLY altered this 1968 penny to look like a double-die error!"
  7. Definitely not trained Marines.
  8. Can't claim credit. My own butt gave me the idea yesterday #teambran
  9. Plus great big shoes on his tiny little feet.
  10. He absolutely went into the butt-vomits once the adrenaline wore off.
  11. Kinda like if "Crying Game" was named "Woman with a Dick," but people were still surprised.
  12. And a rather terrifying foot-job from MTG.
  13. My theory, made up this instance: Some cop was supposed to be on top of that building, but he had to have a smoke or a vape and check Facebook. And ladders are scary. Then when he gets around to it, he sees that a fellow officer in tactical gear is already up there, and says fuck it and mopes off to some shade. That "fellow officer" turns out to be the shooter. If this theory turns out not to be true, I will be amazed, because it combines random upfuckery and sloth and social media addiction. Also, as mentioned, 150 yards with iron sites is not too hard at all, on a range. Maybe he didn't account for being higher up, and so his shots flew by at head level instead of hitting the body. You or I would probably be too jacked up on adrenaline to aim precisely, but if this guy's a psychopath, as assassins and CEOs tend to be, who knows if he felt anything.
  14. Unfortunately for him, eBay is now full of Chinese vendor selling knock-off spears and helmets.
  15. He knows more than we do.
  16. I see that we have lost Maria's #2 on Harry Wurzbach and Byrne road. Used to crash at friends' a few blocks away, and go over there and get lard breakfast tacos every morning. You could hike 30 miles with one of those lumps in your stomach, but truth is you'd probably just lay around.
  17. I would base a good retirement spot on being walking distance from a good oncologist.
  18. No Koreans were harmed in the making of this memory. The scripper herself appeared to be Scotch-Irish, hired to dance for one of our sergeants on his birthday, who was also Scotch-Irish. Their replacements in their jobs are no doubt Scotch-Irish too. The kimchi was made by Koreans. I actually like Kimchi, now, but that first time chowing down on it it was floating in my stomach on a lake of Dr. Budweiser's pre-vomit elixir. I woke up inside the bus we'd taken to the bar. tshirt plastered to me with dried beer, bile, and fermented cabbage. Soon after that we had a MOPP4 road march for 4 hours (dressing up in full protective gear +masks in 90 degree heat. I noticed nobody was taking roll of who was in which truck, so I gathered up my man-killin-shit (but NOT MOPP4 suit), walked into the nighttime woods, sat down, and thought about my life choices.
  19. Yep. I associate scrippers with the smell of kimchi. As in, the smell of it at dinner, then waking up later to the smell of dried kimchi vomit on my chest.
  20. Buffalo Cop's expression is priceless. Must have a toddler at home.
  21. Manchestah dodged a bullet a stream of piss.
