  1. Trithead 's a ceithir is a new term I learned in Scottish Gaelic. Pronounced kinda like Tree-huts-a-kay-her. Trithead is 30 and ceithir is 4. Sounds better with bagpipes. You need to yell at em not to skimp on the paté.
  2. I'm more of a "anyone can kill, but it takes skill to maim" type of guy.
  3. From the look of it I'd say that was written with America's Treasure, the Sharpie marker. Especially since it looks like he was clenching it in his asshole when he wrote that.
  4. You got leads. Mitch and Murray paid good money. Get their names to sell them. You can't close the leads you're given, you can't close shit, you are shit, hit the bricks pal and beat it 'cause you are going out. I can go out there tonight, the materials you got, make myself 15,000 dollars. Tonight. In two hours. Can you? Can you?
  5. Good afternoon jimmyjazz, Dealing with never-ending cold-call sales emails generated by bots?? We at Canecutter World Empire specialize in enhancing annoying-ass bot removal using a blend of modern technology and seasoned expertise, plus a dash of cold malice. Imagine servers humming in a rickety building where the food is spicy and the insects are the size of pizza slices. These are the servers housing thousands of bots specifically annoying the shit out of you. Then look, here on the closed-circuit camera footage, do you see them? Several large Rugby types, bursting in with crowbars and cricket bats? That's probably "Iron Nigel" and his mates, swiftly taking care of an entire data center, just for you. Let's talk about how we can aid within your bot removal needs. When would be a good time for a quick call? Because, trust me, it's better if we talk by phone, otherwise we'll have to send over Iron Nigel in person to make sure you understand. RD
  6. He is a Republican man who hates The Gay, so the clock is ticking on when he gets caught "wrestling."
  7. So co-opt the Russian flag as the new Pride flag.
  8. I guarded the motor pool where they shot the scene of those two MPs catching our heroes trying to desert. No trace of females during my time, but I did use my burglary skills to access the candy machine inside one locked building and get me and my buddy our first Reese's Cups in 6 weeks. Who watches the watchers.
  9. If you think this is a bit much, wait until we get to pick out cyborg bodies to house our geriatric husks.
  10. If I'm the next President of Iran, my first action will be to cancel any flights in foggy mountains on helicopters maintained by Iranians.
  11. Guarantee you they all claim to be 1/47 Cherokee. But aren't.
  12. In general, with either metal, buying the big thing is more efficient than buying the smaller thing. eg Look at 10 oz silver bars instead of 1 oz bits, and 1 oz gold vs. fractional. Another thing is the mark-up on government-issued bullion vs generic. If you step away from Eagles or similar to generic, you can cut the premium to the bone, as you no doubt know. People have their reasons for whichever they want. With the premiums, the question is "Can I get it back when I sell?" Mostly depends on where and how you sell, and how fast. So the answer is somewhere between "yes" and "no." Weight-wise there's no question.
  13. I have the opposite experience. When we got married I came into the union with two Mercury Dimes and one Morgan that looks like it was hit with a belt sander. Mrs. Canecutter, on the other hand, had amassed several silver settings when silver was low, because she didn't feel like waiting and squabbling with her siblings one day. However, when a hippy coworker almost slapped me around to buy gold back when it was at 800 in 2008 (?) she replied "We don't take financial advice from hippies," and invested the cost of an ounce of gold in Vulcan Materials stock, now 10x higher. Then when I did start stacking, she enjoys it, and would be upset if I sold much of it. The only gold coins I ever sold were a half-Sovereign and a 1/20 oz Panda, and I used the cash for two Olympic-grade epee blades. I figure gold for swords is legit Dungeons and Dragons.
  14. There is very little Mr. Hand in this UM regent. The proper response to this 4 AM visit is for the kid to wake up with the regent at the foot of his bed, holding a notepad and a thermos of coffee.
  15. Glad to help a brother out. Now take her antiquing.
  16. Whenever I wake up from a craze of buying, I feel a momentary twinge as if I blew that money at the racetrack. Then I realize that even if I take a small loss, I could turn right around and get most of that cash back. Sort of like moving it from a savings account to a Shiny savings account. It's not so much about being "right" about the market as it is NOT spending every last dime on stuff like beer. If I had 1/4 of my beer money back from the past 3 decades, that'd be a ton of metal (and stocks) even if I bought at dumb prices. And the remaining 3/4 of that beer would be plenty for the foolishness I got up to.
  17. Gen Z don't know what physical mailboxes are.
