  1. Alabama has all things necessary for good or for bad. It's like a really interesting dungeon adventure.
  2. Within one calendar year = tomorrow, or any other day?
  3. You don't need some noble cover story. Just make sure you ask her to squirm around nekkit in a bathtub full of rubber fishin worms. I sorta got a thang for that. Preciate it.
  4. That oughta be like catching a fly with chop sticks, YGIFS-san.
  5. Counterpoint: if there is a Hell, then you know they have CiCi's Pizza there, and Samantha D and the Alabama fucknut judge will think they are in heaven.
  6. It's fun, and in a red state, actually gives your vote some meaning in races that the R will probably win anyway. I voted Roy Moore in the 2017 R primary because Mo Brooks was an angry little snow monkey, Luther Strange (despite being 8 feet tall and having a super-villain name) was a slick little conniver, and there was some other guy I forget because he bored me. Moore was already proven crazy so I picked crazy for my personal entertainment. I figured he'd win one term then get frog-marched offstage after some national embarrassment and we'd get a very public Federal enema (which actually does help, I recommend it sometime.) Little did I know that the ghosts of 14-year-old girlfriends past would rise up to crush Roy Moore under the granite slab of his own religiosity. So yeah, have some fun.
  7. Sounds like you are lucky to know her. I hope y'all get the most boring scans in the history of scans.
  8. Yeah, in her case, something weird happened. I suspect it was mundane like not bothering to get a passport in time. She came back from the Czech Republic, no pics to show, no funny stories about anything new. I asked her what she saw. Oh she stayed in the hotel the whole time. Well what was the food like? It was food. What kind of money do they use there, Euros, what? Well. it was basically just money. I'm like, she didn't watch Rocky. I liked her and didn't want to put her on the hot seat, so I just let it drop. There was lots of weird shit at that place. But when they gave me a mini-grant to try to set up study abroad swaps in Mexico, my Chair asked to see photos. I took about 700.
  9. About 5 years ago, turns out I was being followed by the Pelham Police on suspicion of robbing a gold shop. I found this out today when talking to a buddy who used to have a precious metals store there. Pelham is a suburb 20 miles south of Birmingham. I used to commute past there and on the way home sometimes I'd stop and get coins. One day, the owner went to the bathroom and his mom was there in the front. I show up, she buzzed me in, I did my shopping and left. Dude gets a call from the police-- "ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" "Give us a sign you are alright." He goes to the door, there is a massive police presence. They tell him they also have me in sight following me down the road. Turns out when Mom buzzed me in, she didn't know which button opened the door and she hit the panic button first. I don't remember anything unusual, cluelessly bopping along home.
  10. No. It's a good honest rock, not an animated piece of slime.
  11. So we stand shoulder-to-shouder in full armor shooting at each other with blasters but our most important guys don't wear helmets?
  12. I've got a rock in my backyard that will understand IVF before Tommy does.
  13. Aw man. A dealer down the road has 300 early 1950s Hidalgo wreath 5 peso coins to sell. 20 grams asw each so 3 = almost 2 troy oz. And here I sit having just paid a bunch of bills like a damn loser.
  14. Anybody who listens to Lee Greenwood.
  15. And did it without all those extra attention-seeking arpeggios either.
  16. Obedezco pero no cumplo. A prudent choice considering the year-long journey it takes for a galleon to travel from Montgomery to a local IVF clinic and back again.
  17. You can't just drive by and drop some brief remark. At least flesh it out with more words.
  18. The Panhandle is that woman who skipped too many classes and tanned too much as a teen, but if you've got a loud pipes save lives motorcycle she'll hang on nice and tight and you're totally gonna score. Just buy her a beer and a slaw dog and wink and call her "Darlin."
  19. Alabama Republican legislators appearing ready to do back-flips to clean up the fire-hose of shit that Judge Thomas spewed around the room, probably because he thought they believed all the stuff they said. Thing is it may not get resolved until November unless they get a-high-steppin. Thomas was tight with Roy Moore who as you may recall was the only man who could have turned Alabama purple... so far. If (when) similar politicians in other states decide to ape this ruling, Thomas could be the gift that keeps on giving to Democrats nation-wide. This will be in play with the US representative races here for sure-- the new maps with the 2 majority (or almost-majority) Black populations weren't completely out of reach of Republicans, not at all. We shall see.
  20. I think he's about to hit mandatory retirement age, so we can reasonably assume that he will replaced with someone younger and more reasonable, like an Alabama version of Matt Gaetz. Seeing how Gaetz comes from the Florida Panhandle that would qualify Matt Gaetz to be the Alabama Matt Gaetz.
  21. New York Juneteenth party? Maybe Texas connection? My question is when did people with Greek names feel like they were "inside" the greater Redneck culture? [Edit: just saw that one of them is "Znidarsic," which is Old Church Slavonic for "Unconvicted SS Prison Camp Guard."]
  22. Your dog is no interest to me sinner-- thumbless animals are not responsible for you heresies nor can they swing a pick to mine salt. (Well, it's actually coal, not salt, because that's what we have here.) Nonetheless, you shall soon get all the exercise you imagined you'd get when you signed up for that gym where you sit on the bench and play games on your phone, WHEN YOU EVEN GO. I do this to save your soul from the caked-on aura of EEEEEVIL that seeks to drag you down through the ground beneath your feet turned suddenly to foul pestilential boiling MUD. But no, seriously, the dog is fine.
