  1. New Era Baptist Church. I used to ride past there and pause to read the zingers. You can see more if you seek it out on Google Street View and go through different years.
  2. Same here. Lots of memories from when I was knee-high. If I had a language test coming up, not only would I have endless wandering dreams meeting people and talking to them, but we'd be speaking French, or whatever was on the test, to the amusement of my roommates. As far as I know, I only have one glaring memory gap-- lived in Western NC and drove all around that area for about 5 years. Usually I have a pretty good map in my head, but when I recently revisited the area (pre-hurricane), sometimes it was as if Id never been there. Yeah there's new stuff, but I barely recognized the things that hadn't changed. I had been expelled by the spirits of the land.
  3. Will be interesting if that also holds for states nobody's paying attention to.
  4. I'm an old-fashioned Democrat. Other than leisurely rides around the property to let the sharecroppers know that I care about them, this old place pretty much runs itself.
  5. I think it's way past time for you to quit checking that ballot, and turn it in.
  6. It's not just the Puerto Ricans who take it personally. You've got spouses, friends, inlaws, coworkers, Army buddies, any of whom might not themselves be counted in the ethnic group, but who would smack a MAGA bitch.
  7. Talk Radio on Monday speculated that Trump might flip New Jersey. It's a runaway victory, or maybe the on-air personalities get free cocaine. Dunno.
  8. Cool. It was still wrong for you to leave that flyer.
  9. I suspect Bo French secretly worries about those four things. I'm cool if he's gay, just maybe tone down the 1950s Leading Man stare. And maybe cut down on the Lying Tarded Ignunce a little. Hey, nobody's perfect, just make an effort.
  10. As if anybody's scared of some stoner-ass San Marcos "Grand Dragon."
  11. Let me know when that many quit ordering through Amazon.
  12. I shall go down fighting outnumbered in the men 60+ category like Boromir against the Uruks. Hell, if I just run up a flight of stairs that oughta take out half of them.
  13. That's why we need to get rid of those intrusive FBI security clearances, Patriots!
  14. Everybody's got their Bibb County. (For those incapable of reading my mind, about a year ago we were on an afternoon drive through Bibb County, where the Cahaba River Lilies bloom SW of Birmingham. Fairly rural unlike the saturated suburbs of Shelby County. I wanted to stop and eat at some meat-and-three, but before we found one, we noticed that the Confederate-Flag-and-Bible-Salesmen had descended on the place. Every truck, every trailer, they were all ready to follow Marse Robert up into Pennsylvania. I lost my appetite and was determined to spend no US currency on CS adherents.) Now all y'all without sin, you might think Bibb County's always been this way. Oddly enough, no, at least not in a flag-flying frenzy. What could have changed? Who could have been elected?
  15. On Halloween I plan to be sitting in a bar several blocks away where the bartenders give me free beer.
  16. Don't throw that shit away. It'll have great resale value especially after Trump loses. If he wins, maybe you can carry one of the coins to show the Interior Homeland Security Forces so you can pass through checkpoints.
  17. My first impression of Eastern Shore Virginia, maybe 15 years ago, was a gigantic Confederate battle flag near the border as we were driving down from Maryland. Looking back, that was actually less depressing than a giant Trump flag would be.
