  1. I would have been cool if she did it a week ago (I still maintain he wouldn't be willing to have her on), but I don't want to live in a world where both Presidential candidates appear on Joe Rogan as their last chance to reach a national audience on a "major outlet."
  2. No offense to your mom, but that tiny cross-section is too dumb to try to save. Okay, maybe some offense.
  3. There exists no possible world where Kamala wins Ohio and loses Michigan and Wisconsin. C'mon now, try a little harder to make a close R win map.
  4. This is the dream. A legit ass kicking will go a long way towards distancing the non-cultists away from Trump once and for all. No one wants to hear a two-time loser cry wolf again when it's not even close. But we don't deserve that. So we'll get 270-276, it will be a shit show, the GOP will cling onto and appease angry MAGA voters for dear life, and Trump will be even more front and center than normal. But at least it's still a win.
  5. Not at all. And I can certainly understand their anger, frustration, and hesitancy to vote for what they see as a continuation of the current administration's policies. Basically, we can get Ukraine to follow strict guidelines in order to continue receiving weapons; why can't we do the same with Israel? The tightrope is lose a lot of votes from a smaller community or a lot of votes from a larger community (not just Jews, but everyone who will raise an eyebrow that we seemingly withdrew support from an ally and sided with those "pro-Hamas" protesters they hear so much about). And opting for the latter obviously wouldn't stop the violence. Israel doesn't need any more of our weapons to enact their will on the region. Which is why I'm sure many here would support some kind of humanitarian aid only policy...after the election.
  6. Good news, everyone! The Lakers and Warriors lead the league is nationally televised games once again. So we'll all get to be a part of the exhilarating race to the 10 seed all season long!
  7. You're going to have to spell this one out for me. I don't follow.
  8. Your contention is that Kamala should have been trying harder to convince Biden to halt all weapons to Israel? And you want her to win the election? Because those two thoughts are completely incongruous. We'll see what her actions are as POTUS, but, right now, she has absolutely no choice but to walk the tight rope.
  9. I will think of how much Arnold Palmer would have despised that dumb piece of shit and how butthurt Jack must be that Trump didn't tell a similar story about him.
  10. They do look at me weird when I order a veiny Arnold Palmer. Oh well.
  11. You should probably get a new doctor if he's passing along anecdotal stories to help convince you that certain vaccines are completely ineffective and may actually make it worse. I can see a doctor treating it almost identical to the flu shot and saying that it's up the patient, and you'll almost certainly be just fine if you don't get it (like my doctor). But actively reinforcing your "layman's observations" that go against the data?
  12. The polls in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania have been pretty rock solid for awhile now. Anything beyond that is just gravy.
  13. Surly really does entirely consist of lawyers.
  14. Can someone explain this to me like I'm 5? The best I can gather is that Elon hired a firm to GOTV for Trump, and it ended up being a bunch of lazy kids faking their effort level in their apps and playing Fortnite all day instead. Roughly?
  15. Absolutely. Anecdotally, I can tell you I know quite a few young families in SoCal that are very, very worried about what they think teachers and doctors can and can't do to their kids without parental consent. It's infuriating.
  16. Dude had like 17 kids. Can't really blame him for not eating anywhere where $54 and a crisp $2 tip wouldn't cover the whole family.
  17. Why? Because some random waiter may internally chuckle or think you're gay?
  18. Not a great sign about how common place these stories are within the church that "christian recording artist" caught my eye as being more immediately revolting than "child sex crimes"
  19. It's not a can't miss appointment anymore. But it's free, easy, and harmless. If I remember in the fall, I'll swing by CVS on a shopping trip and get it and the flu shot knocked out. If I forget, so be it. I don't judge others one way or the other. Apologies, in my personal experience, someone asking, "People are still getting the COVID vaccine?" typically have ulterior motives for the question.
  20. I'm a pretty big Max supporter, but this has nothing to do with him or McLaren. (Other than Max being the most frequent offender.) Jamming it into corners to get the apex at the expense of being able to keep your race car or your competitor's race car on the racetrack is some bullshit that should carry some kind of negative consequence. Keep it on track, and you can basically be as aggressive as you want.
  21. And the argument is that the rule book currently sucks if it rewards you for purposely carrying too much speed to stay on the track just to be ahead at the apex.
  22. I get why they feel the need to draw that line in the sand there. BUT, you shouldn't be rewarded for driving yourself and your competitor off the track, if not purposely, then at least haphazardly. What's your suggestion? I suppose if Max had done it in a couple more turns, he eventually would have gotten tagged for reckless driving. Doesn't seem like much of a deterrent though. It's hard enough to pass in this sport...essentially letting people leave the track to defend seems like the wrong move. Well, they both left the track. But I understand your point.
  23. And if Max had kept 1/16" of his tire on the white line, I'd 100% agree with you. Keep your dive bombing within track limits, even if you're not following a "racing line", and I'm usually perfectly fine with aggressive moves. But he didn't. Once you leave the track by your own "error" (or desperate attempt to defend), it should be fair game to keep my pace right around you. Max dive bombed Lando to pass him on Turn 1 at the start of the race almost identically--except he stayed on the track. Lando complained, but Zak Brown basically told the broadcast team, "Yeah, he dive-bombed us, but he stayed on the track...what are ya gonna do?"
  24. I suppose the argument there would be that Max was defending his position when Carlos ran Max and himself off the track, and Max was defending when Max ran he and Morris off the track, so the "proper" thing to do is just reset the order to what it was before the attempted overtake. I don't agree, but I can at least see that being their logical train of thought. I just don't understand rewarding a driver who can't stay on the track to avoid being passed by a faster car. Once you leave the track--and you've forced someone out with you--they shouldn't then also force the other car to slow down and let you back in in front of them. As long as it's safe to pass off the track, tough luck.
