  1. So the answer to combat unsustainable wealth inequality is to stop handing out participation trophies. Got it. Good stuff.
  2. This isn't going to be one of those "just pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and you too can be a billionaire helping to increase the skyrocketing wealth inequality" things, right?
  3. Perhaps you're looking for a stupider discussion with no grey areas that's happening elsewhere?
  4. Yeah, dirty old Bill calling their bluff and telling them to release it all was definitely not what they expected. This whole exercise has been a master class in how to look and act extremely guilty beyond the shadow of any reasonable doubt.
  5. Live look at Trump's DOJ:
  6. I'm honestly impressed that every forgotten C-list entertainer hasn't jumped in on the MAGA grift. They're so desperate to add to their conservative celebrity roster, it's gotta be free money. But it's really only been the truly shameless/irrelevant.
  7. That's all fair. You can certainly argue--and I'd be inclined to agree--that oversaturation has taken root with every streamer and their mother releasing as much content as humanly possible over the past handful of years. So the true diamonds are few and far between with resources stretched thin and trying to find the recipe to dig in a hook in a crowded marketplace. Plus, whatever the fuck has been going on at HBO and others these days with mergers and ownership changes isn't the best atmosphere to foster brilliance, with little appetite for patience or letting shows breath. I'd still say the average quality of show today is higher than 10-20 years ago.
  8. To this one specific point from the author, yes, Hollywood is making better television today. Unequivocally. Outside of the usual, lazy, laugh track network TV slop that's always been served and whatever Taylor Sheridan template is currently being pumped out, that is. It may be annoying as fuck to find--both where and when--at times, but it's been the golden age of television for over a decade. Bigger budgets, top notch writing and production, A-list talent actually willing to participate. It's honestly overwhelming how many good series are out there. Also, really struggling to blame cinema's struggles on forced diversity when we all apparently collectively decided about 13 years ago that the only movies worth going to theaters for are dudes wearing tights.
  9. So dumb. Not a single conservative was going to watch the episode or believe a single word that they hear secondhand. Forgotten the second credits rolled. Like always. So instead she shines a giant light on it.
  10. Except for the rat who started it all. And the wolves who seemed to have their behavior scripted.
  11. 1. Start thread about an opinion piece that really resonated with you. 2. Be condescending as fuck to anyone who pokes holes in some of the arguments or doesn't agree with the premise wholeheartedly. 3. ????? 4. Profit.
  12. Fuck yeah. Always wanted to be a pirate.
  13. It's so adorable when they pretend to care about fraud and corruption for 3 seconds.
  14. I qualify as a millennial (about to cross 40), and I'm pretty comfortable admitting that some of my career advancements have come, in part, to me being a tall, relatively handsome, socially competent white dude. Mechanical Engineer FWIW. If we're throwing around isolated anecdotes.
  15. I guess let people know what incredibly narrow band you'll accept counterpoints from?
  16. Elko raising his arms in ecstatic celebration after a missed field goal while being down 3-0 midway through the 3rd quarter in a home playoff game is the most limp dick, embarrassing shit I've ever witnessed. And I've seen some fucking shit, man. Like, Johnny Jolly's 77-0 sack dance not even cracking the top 5 shit.
  17. Donald over there pretending like he's seen Melania's panties even once these past 20 years.
  18. Between that and *there, just a rock solid post all around by me
  19. So Erika Kirk had a 5-hour sit down with Candace Parker pleading with her to stop disparaging her and her husband's name in wild conspiracy theories (aka I desperately need some of your audience to stay relevant), and Owens said, "nah bitch." And Tucker Carlson's out their passing out gasoline. Do I have that about right? What a fine group of individuals.
  20. So...are Sharpies more pleasurable up your butt? Asking for me. I'm asking for me.
