  1. Don't forget the Mars dune buggies. Everyone gets Mars dune buggies if Trump wins as we definitely colonize Mars within our lifetime.
  2. Just stoked to be pretty much locked in a position (I agree on Nevada) where winning Pennsylvania makes Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina irrelevant bonuses.
  3. Who let these nerds out of the Make Dicks Hard and Hair Grow Lab?
  4. Something, something, Chris Gaines did this. Damnit, come back to me.
  5. The police union was magnanimous enough to not endorse anyone in 2012, rather than Romney. Other than that, you have to go back to 1996 when they endorsed Bill Clinton as he basically ran unopposed (sorry, Bob) as the last time the nod didn't go to the GOP. I suspect it will be decades before that changes.
  6. No endorsement from firefighters is actually pretty positive considering how quickly our brave boys in blue jumped on Trump's dick.
  7. From 1st and 10 at the Atlanta 28 with 1:44 left to punting with 1:21 left is about as special as it gets, to be sure.
  8. Listen, none of you guys have ever played in the National Football League. Until you've played in the National Football League, who are you to judge the lingo used in the National Football League? Alumni of the National Football League share their own language.
  9. So GRU, what's the next harmful event that you're actively hoping happens to our country before November? Just so I can put it on my calendar.
  10. We're actually doing this? All right then. I know she's Qanon adjacent, but she's a sitting U.S. Congresswoman for fuck's sake. It's got to be performative since she's not in the public eye nearly as much these days. This is too dumb even for her.
  11. We were about to get a couple pages about who participates in more club sports because their kids are such prodigies if we didn't get sidetracked. Somehow, this is even worse.
  12. I certainly hope that you're right, but you can't tell me that you haven't noticed the ridiculous influx of trans people (and LGTBQ+ in general) being mentioned in casual conversation/jokes among your friends, family, and social circles over the past few years. In my experience, from like zero ever to damn near every single right-leaning person I know finding a way to squeeze it into otherwise polite conversation. Sure, some were already MAGA adjacent, but a few (usually ones with kids) were seemingly "radicalized" largely because of the angry, fear-based messaging about schools making kids trans and widespread grooming that they're being fed from TV, podcasts, and politicians. And, again, this thread, ostensibly about sports, only exists because of that. You know, the OP where state governments pressured their universities to forfeit to make this a story this--and only this--year.
  13. And pay $0.0023 per sheet instead of $0.0021? Fuck you, buddy!
  14. I get it. Can't possibly make everybody happy. I'm just skeptical of those 2 or 5 or 10's actual discomfort in truly gray area cases. Will the issue be them or their parents?
  15. "This is significant." No, it's not. Nothing short of Trump calling Kamala the hard "-er" will pull people off of Trump at this point. And, even then, it would just mean Kamala would win PA by a more comfortable 3-4%. The only way to sway people is getting them to like Kamala and feel okay with voting for her. There's no October surprise big enough to be the last straw for people who weren't completely done with him after witnessing Nov 4, 2020 - Jan 6, 2021.
  16. What? YOU posted this verbatim: I haven't seen anyone else use the word "cheat" to describe these athletes. You introduced it. I don't think you meant anything malicious by it, but you did. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. In your example above--the "truly biologically dimorphic" athlete that fits better in most metrics as a female--and lives their life as a female--they aren't getting excluded because they can't physically hack it in the men's/open division? I've done no such thing. I don't think you hate kids. I agree with a lot of what you've said here. You just distance yourself from why this discussion is happening so much more often, and the public manipulation taking place that's purposely bringing undo hate and discrimination upon vulnerable groups because it's the convenient thing to do. I mean, I get it. I don't even blame you. But it--and your schtick in general--is just tiring, dude.
  17. Nonsense! According to Rex, 90%+ of the population agree that the government should continue stepping in and defining gender to stop these huge, frequent injustices, and he's lucky to live in one of the 25 states with the courage to do so! And I'm sure if I were to list those 25 states, it wouldn't seem politically fabricated at all.
  18. Even ignoring your categorization of trans athletes as cheaters, it takes some real mental gymnastics here to convince yourself that you're not ultimately okay with excluding kids, even if deemed for the "greater good."
  19. Seriously. If we were to follow the OP--as I'm sure was the intention (wink, wink)--the argument shouldn't be about transsexuals' place in sports, but rather if we think the Wyoming State government overstepped in pressuring the University to forfeit.
  20. And, of course, the grifters and influencers find their niche accordingly. "Fox already has 'liberals are evil' pretty well covered. Let's see who I can attract with 5G mind control, drinking the blood of babies, and dead people voting. Oh, cool, Kevin Sorbo and Donald Trump are already following me."
  21. I've long theorized that it's a game of conspiracy theory chicken. You can't blink or say, "Hey, wait a second" or the train goes on without you because you aren't an "in the know" top-tier researcher anymore. Psychologically, there has to be something to buying into the most batshit crazy, half-assed trash, putting you in a more and more exclusive group. "Billionaires control narratives behind the scenes" is boring and played. "Ukraine sent more mail-in ballots than the entire Texas population" is the new hotness.
  22. We all understand why these guys want to hold their positions in a vacuum. I don't even bemoan their desire to do so. ...it's just completely unrealistic. As troph has stated far more eloquently than I can: this isn't just about sports. Governments and school boards aren't suddenly taking an interest in this issue because of their unrelenting pursuit of fairness and protecting women. It's a culture war, and this is an attainable first step since, simplistically speaking, most do agree that born males generally shouldn't be competing in female sports. It's just getting their foot in the door though. These groups have made it plainly clear that removing these communities from polite society and keeping them as outcasts is their end goal. "There are only two genders!" "What is a female?" Like others, I have seen firsthand how many people seem to suddenly, passionately care about transsexuals run amok in our schools and LGTBQ+ grooming because of what they hear on TV and podcasts. It's disturbing. And it's stoked and encouraged by an entire political party. Troph should be fearful of the future.
