  1. They're targeting the demographic that, no matter the advancements in technologies, will never accept that a dishwasher can effectively clean an un-rinsed dish, especially one that has been sitting overnight: our wives.
  2. Obviously, the "big deal" is that this shit--and much worse--happens daily all over the country to people who don't have the fame of Tyreek Hill to shine a light on it, nor the money or legal representation to fight back. That it will probably ultimately become a nothing burger is the problem.
  3. I don't want to know why this is a gif. Good lord. "But the actor was 18."
  4. Fuck it. Let's just do it. How much do I really care about my unborn great grandkids?
  5. I declare censorship! Sounds like something that should be posted on Elon's free speech utopia.
  6. I jumped in around page 6 or so. Having missed some of your earlier work, your tone on the last couple of pages definitely came off as "the police officers' actions were well within bounds because Tyreek disobeyed lawful commands" and not "you have to be smart and not give them any excuse to enact violence because they'll fucking take it and most likely get away with it." The latter being closer to what you were getting at. Apologies for my laziness.
  7. That there is some serious goalpost moving. Your original argument was that Tyreek gave them a valid, lawful reason by ignoring their lawful requests and because they have to assume that anyone who is non-compliant could be a threat. Now, you're acknowledging that there was some misconduct at play, but the court system has historically been lenient towards the police? Yeah, no shit, we know. That's why this kind of bullshit happening to famous people on camera is useful. Way harder to make it just go away, even with an internet army twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend it.
  8. So first Hill had it coming because he was acting unlawfully. But now you're admitting that the legal system is too lenient on police and just explaining to us how the court may view the incident, however excessive. Okay. Which is it? You cite a 1970's case where the police asked the driver to exit the vehicle, and the officers allowed him to do so of his own free will; what does that have to do with violent and excessive force? I imagine officers are taught a considerable amount about necessary force in their trainings. Do you believe their actions to be "within reason" on this occasion? Do you think that the cops and police department will all get off scot-free on this one? Because I don't. Video is a hell of a thing. It used to be, a cop's word against someone with a violent criminal history could justify just about anything.
  9. So, just to make sure I've got it right: "the law" is that cops get to forcefully pull people--who currently pose zero threat to anyone--out of their cars and violently push them face first onto pavement once that person has "done too many wrong things" because they might have a gun, who knows, or the cop wants to see more of their car, or he just wants them in handcuffs for the remainder of the traffic stop for "safety", or whatever they choose to justify it with in the moment. Can you please point me to that law? The fuck is wrong with you?
  10. Holy. Fucking. Shit. Are you for real right now? This could be the biggest collection of horseshit I've ever seen.
  11. Fucking stop it. The cop didn't use force because he was worried Tyreek had a gun or could potentially become a threat. Even if so, are cops allowed to impose violence onto anyone who disobeys them because everyone theoretically might have a gun? Jesus fucking christ, just garbage logic. The cop had a hair trigger and not respecting his authority properly was enough to set it off. No need to overcomplicate it.
  12. Cool. He disobeyed. Arrest him if you deem it unlawful enough...just do so without being a completely unhinged violent lunatic about it. No one is saying the cop is 100% to blame, but he has to be the bigger man. That's (supposed to be) the fucking job. You don't get to violently put your hands on another man who is of zero threat just because you wear a badge.
  13. How about: unless you're acting aggressively, there's a weapon visible, or you're physically resisting arrest, cops don't get to be violent with you, no matter how many times you disrespectfully roll up your window...period. How is this even a debate?
  14. All of this. It takes a special kind of power-trip shit bags to make my sympathize with Tyreek.
  15. You're not going to believe this: when Scottie Scheffler--also one of the best players in his sport--got arrested on the morning of his game/round, there was a thread about it on the Golf (Other Sports) board.
  16. What the fuck does this have to do with politics? You can't just claim everything that makes you uncomfortable to talk about is cloak room. It's fucking basic.
  17. Belligerent on a flight in 2020. Gee, I wonder what about.
  18. So weird how frequently these dudes keep finding themselves in mid-apocalypse California when they want to escape middle America.
  19. Almost 20 years of coaches yelling, "for the love of god, please stop shooting the basketball" really wears on you. But she persevered!
  20. Please never use that word again in any context.
  21. Dumb shit bringing up Travis Kelce's $100M podcasting contract to explain how the money be was getting wasn't out of the ordinary. Hey genius, he's currently dating the most popular person alive, and his show is fair game for any company to advertise on. Most companies wouldn't (and can't) be caught dead advertising on his platform. How much money does Black Rifle Coffee possible have?
  22. Don't sell us short. We're making way better progress towards idiocracy than we were in 2006.
  23. This isn't a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation. It's a "these fucks don't give two shits about the actual issue at hand and are actively trying to do everything they can to spark a civil war through outrage porn because it helps their likely Russian-padded bank account, fuck them" situation. Yes, obviously also fuck the non-peaceful protesters who have given them the opportunity.
  24. Let us know if you find the one non Trumper cop in the country. Kinda like seeing a unicorn.
