  1. This isn't a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation. It's a "these fucks don't give two shits about the actual issue at hand and are actively trying to do everything they can to spark a civil war through outrage porn because it helps their likely Russian-padded bank account, fuck them" situation. Yes, obviously also fuck the non-peaceful protesters who have given them the opportunity.
  2. Let us know if you find the one non Trumper cop in the country. Kinda like seeing a unicorn.
  3. What gets me is that, had the Uvalde shooter been forced to find an illegal gun dealer at 18 years old (using Craigslist, I guess?), the gun dealing criminal probably would have said, "hell no, you're immediately going to do something stupid with these guns and bring heat onto me and my business." But the guy behind the counter at the gun store he walked into had no issue whatsoever selling to him.
  4. Yeah, I refuse to continue beating my head against the wall explaining the naivete (and stupidity) of amplifying legitimately anti-American, paid discord actors just because they briefly align with the "right" perspective on one particular subject (you know, as long as you only watch the video and completely ignore their words, framing, implications/accusations, and entire histories). This is not difficult.
  5. Your inability to think critically never ceases to amaze.
  6. The variance in skill in CFB is part of the charm, IMO. The truly elite athletes--like Lamar Jackson--running literal circles around some poor 19 year old kid. But, every time you tune into an NFL game, there's a damn good chance you're getting a one score game with 5 minutes left between two, at worst, above average quarterbacks. Hard to beat that.
  7. Scorching hot take: putting Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy on the same football team seems problematic for the rest of the league.
  8. On a conceptual level, I don't understand the concept of putting you finger on polls to influence a potential outcome. Psychologically, wouldn't you want to show Harris ahead slightly to get people off their asses to vote for Trump and avoid the impending communist hellscape? Or are people so afraid of the emotional attachment of voting for a loser that they'll stay home if it's not looking promising?
  9. You're certain you know what that word means? I don't want to bet. It's certainly possible that he's pardoned. A non-violent offender convicted of tax crimes and lying on gun paperwork...who happens to be the President's only remaining son...who, one could argue, has already given his pound of flesh to be the right wing's punching bag for 6 years...sure I can see it. I just found it funny that you went from supreme confidence to betting a decent dinner out with the Mrs. so quickly. Also, would it really bother you if he was pardoned? Or are just looking to point and yell "hypocrisy" about who the fuck knows at this point?
  10. Immutable fact #964: those who crow about the Constitution and originalism know and understand the absolute least about it.
  11. Gee, I seem to know another guy who really loves to push the idea of civil war on a...err, his...website.
  12. I don't care. I do not believe the electoral college is the best way to pick a president (and, I know you guys hate hearing this, but I thought the same when I was hoping George W would win elections). I think it's insane that North Dakota has as many senators as California and Texas. It's okay to admit that our founders probably didn't see all possible futures. You disagree. That's fine. But you're just using the slight possibility that it's ever changed--using the democratic system that we currently have in place to make those kind of changes--as hollow both sides justification to think how you think and vote how you vote. We both know it.
  13. Cool. If they all currently favored Democrats, I'm so very certain that you'd have the exact same unwavering principles. The filibuster was always intended to be a standing filibuster. The Electoral College and seats on the Supreme Court* were decided when the country had like 4,000 people (exaggerating). It's perfectly fine that you want to keep them as is. But trying to paint opposing opinions as un-democratic is some straight up bullshit. *also curious that billionaires straight up buying Supreme Court judges blatantly in front of ours eyes is no biggy. But trying to add judges to offset the influence of those billionaires, now THAT'S a problem.
  14. I was here when Incredulity's post read "I will bet any amount of money"...in case you were wondering how much he actually believes the words he types.
  15. Look at you pretending like you'd give the slightest of shits about the constitutionality of the electoral college, the filibuster (which was never meant to be used in its current , not that it matters to you), and the number of Supreme Court justices if they weren't currently favoring your side. You are so transparent, it's almost admirable.
  16. Because, as smart as they are, their vote only boils down to one thing: If they think a Trump tax cut for the rich will save them $1000, that's more than good enough to say fuck everyone and everything else. Shit, they'd do it for a $20.
  17. If you're good at something, do it for free. That's what her cousin/mom used to say.
  18. So I'm not getting a raise this fiscal year? You could have just said that, sir.
  19. Yes, but Hugo is our foreign asset and much funnier than GRUhorn and Prong.
  20. I'll give him credit: much better sense of humor than I assumed he was capable of.
  21. And let me add that we're all fucking guilty of this, to some extent. But the sources that prong horn routinely amplifies are from the dumbest and most obvious of the dumbest and most obvious. Some are probably a few rungs below Tim Pool.
  22. Let me ask you something: hypothetically, if 2,000 people are protesting something peacefully in a city center, but 5 of them are chanting "Death to America," who are these obviously biased sources going to exclusively video? Not only that, they're going to frame that group of bad actors as holding the prevalent, overwhelming, violent sentiment. Not saying that's happening everywhere, but you can't tell me with a straight face that it's not happening frequently for very political reasons. As is their right, sure. Those shitbags should be captured on camera. But it's important to know who you're digesting information from to ascertain what, if anything, is being exaggerated or distorted for outrage clicks, personal gain, to push an agenda, or, to bring it back to the OP, spoonfeed propaganda from foreign agents.
