  1. And god help us all if the helicopter pilot ends up being a woman. That "CR" pendulum will snap back the other direction at lightning speed, in that thread and all the way to the a White House. There's no escaping it. It's who we are as Americans now. Everything has to be entirely the fault of the right or left, or some conspiracy.
  2. Say what you will about the current administration, but he has made it damn near impossible to remain blissfully unaware about politicals and agendas. (COVID was also a huge factor.) Never had a single post--or read a single post--in any version of the shaggybevo/texas or surly cloak rooms pre-November 2020. Any implied innuendo or culture war prodding in DT or the football board before then--and I'm sure there was some--went right over my head. It was great. So I don't think surly has changed, other than it has become a reflection of our current society. We're all so hyper-aware of the buzzwords and ongoing culture wars that you can't sneak one past the goalie anymore. We're all just looking to call each other out or any chance to spike the football at each other. I'm certainly guilty of it.
  3. I may have invaded a little bit of Ukraine. Sorry guys.
  4. And you trust anyone currently in charge to see this through in a way that ultimately proves efficient and beneficial? Dear lord.
  5. Luckily, they got to play the Jazz.
  6. He's better at convincing attractive young women to suck his dick than he is at convincing NFL teams to let him be their coach. Respect.
  7. Only to assure concerned citizens that Trump had absolutely no knowledge of it, let alone anything to do with it.
  8. I always get a chuckle out of this saying because we men like to pretend that it doesn't also apply to us.
  9. "What's that? There's another born male playing DIII women's volleyball? Don't bother me with insignificant things like rampant government corruption in times like these!"
  10. Like people's opinions matter anymore.
  11. Is this the part where we all pretend that we don't find thin, tall blonde women with a nice rack and a little bit of crazy in their eyes attractive?
  12. That genie is never going back in the bottle.
  13. Not nearly as funny of a wrong link situation as NowThis.
  14. Exactly. Why the fuck does Mac McClung get this kind of carve out? Pretending like he's one of the best dunkers who ever lived, and we just can't miss out on seeing him. Can go on YouTube and find a dozen better, including other white guys since, let's be honest, that plays a big part.
  15. But don't you get it? Their pain and tears are funny. Right @cabowabo?
  16. Too much time. Buffalo is going to score too quickly. I feel like we've seen this movie.
  17. Counterpoint: going for 2 in the first half should always be a fireable offense.
  18. It is the 2nd fucking quarter. Put away your guide, and don't go for 2.
  19. C'mon, man. These things have never been a realistic possibility for a single second in this country, and it ain't because of Democrat failure.
  20. Take a breath, man. I'm sorry that it's inherently funny that you came to the defense of Amber Heard and then immediately admitted that you hadn't followed the trial even a little bit. Like others have alluded to, people like Heard do other women a disservice by giving misogynists ample "bitches be lying" ammo and making it even more daunting for victims to come forward. My only other opinion on this thread was to remark how gross it is that a profession exists to slander people on the internet for money and how far-reaching and effective it is. I have no opinion on Blake Lively beyond that because I lack the the ability to care enough to learn more. So get fucked to you too, sir.
  21. I don't care about this latest Hollywood gossip any more than I did Amber Heard's. Which is to say, exceptionally little. Thus, I don't have an opinion about either because I know virtually nothing about them. You, on the other hand, were able to determine--and have maintained--that Amber Heard was "attacked in a misogynistic way" while ignoring the actual trial meant to uncover the truth. Remarkable.
  22. There are many to choose from, but the GOP's decades long campaign to keep people who vehemently want to serve their country from doing so has got to be one of their dumbest platforms.
  23. Weird to have such a strong opinion about something you didn't even bother to research a little. Though I suppose that's the way of the world now.
