  1. Weird strategy from cable companies to combat the growing number of cord cutters: extract losses from one man. But it seems to be working just fine.
  2. Holy shit I've missed the zero filter of game threads.
  3. Trying to keep this as CR-light as possible, but these are the exact same people applauding Elon Musk for being a "free speech absolutist." Just hilarious hypocrisy.
  4. "I'm going to sue you for finding my deliberately recorded video that I posted but then deleted." That about the jist of it?
  5. Exactly. Cotton "won" the argument by pivoting to some abject bullshit that the host just accepted. Same as it ever was.
  6. Let's face it, you have to win over a lot of really dumb people too to win a national election.
  7. This bandwagon motherfucker is yours the rest of the year, assholes.
  8. I thought Lando got off pretty decently this time for a change. Oscar really had to jam his way in there, forcing Norris to brake.
  9. Ah yes, forgot about the multiple compound rule. Mea culpa.
  10. Also pathetic that this is the thing that bugs him and has him at least a little worried about losing voters. Not bailing on his state and blaming his daughter. Not being a ghoul and forcing rape victims to give birth. Not being the most smarmy, unlikeable human being on the planet. No, being a bad luck charm for local sporting events is the only way to sway Texas voters.
  11. No clue what Red Bull was thinking pitting Max a second time. He was in 5th, 13 seconds up on Hamilton with 12 laps left. Lewis had fresher tires and might have caught up to the back of him, but he could have at least defended 5th. Pitting cemented him into 6th, 13 seconds behind Lewis. Odd now that Max's points actually matter again. I assume shooting for fastest lap and a "guaranteed" 9 points*, rather than risking 8 points. Just stoked to be this late in the season questioning strategy over 2 points from the current WDC leader. *Lando bettered Max's time on new mediums with older hards, which shows how much better the McLarens are right now
  12. The electoral college, America. Everyone fucking hates this dude, but it's important that Iowa gets to decide the Presidency.
  13. McLaren asked him point blank if he could make it with about 15 laps left, and he pretty unequivocally said no.
  14. No clue how he went 37 laps on his tires when it seemed like everyone else was royally struggling to make it to 20.
  15. I'm usually pretty strongly on the "fuck team orders" side of things when both have pace, but Norris has to be pretty livid right now. A month ago, he got lectured on worldwide television for damn near an hour about the importance of team in winning a championship before finally letting Oscar through to take his first race win. Only for Oscar to dive bomb him on lap 1, turn fucking 2 aggressively enough that it allowed the driver closest to Norris in points to slide between them.
  16. Verstappen trying to hang on to a 70 point lead with 9 races to go in a busted (compared to what he's gotten used to) car. Should be fun and not dangerous at all.
  17. Listen, you guys have all season to make fun of Texas A&M football. Can we just go back to the dude who watched his two female cousins make out at a family reunion for a second? What in the Kentucky hell?
  18. If Gameday and Ted Cruz would just leave us the fuck alone, we could quietly go 7-5 on ESPNU and the SEC Network like God intended.
  19. I can't believe I'm saying this, but you've probably had too much alcohol tonight.
  20. Okay, even I need a translator on this one. Is this supposed to be a shot at someone?
  21. A quick Google search confirms my largely drunk memory:
  22. Has anyone seen Jimbo recently? We're certain that getting to eat the outgoing coach wasn't in Elko's contract?
  23. That's uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh an unfortunate outfit choice, coach.
  24. As someone with first-hand experience at "one of those schools," this is correct. College is what you make of it. I trust my kids to find the right friend groups and challenge their preconceived ideologies. Even at A&M, the people who want to wear overalls and whoop in public were going to be followers wherever they went. No one forced their brainwashing. The student body in College Station pretty reliably leans blue. There's diversity in thought and perspectives at all colleges. Parents, your neighbors, and Texas as a whole are a whole lot more guilty of making them susceptive to cults and stupidly like MAGA than the school itself. Now, there are other declining academics reasons that I'd try to steer my kids away from A&M if they showed interest (unlikely), but it has very little to do with fear of them getting indoctrinated.
