  1. I would love to hear BabaYaga's explanation on how all of these modern day safe manufacturers that allow easy access into their safes from people without the owner's or manufacturer's code or backup key are staying in business.
  2. Please, please find me the documentation of a legit, affordable gun safe where removing the batteries resets the keycode. Our office's $200 Amazon laptop storage cabinet has somehow figured out that conundrum. But fine, there's a 1% chance that this 14 year old cracked his dad's gun safe. Thank you for your contribution, and sorry for assuming that the 99% chance that the gun wasn't properly stored is what happened.
  3. Not really Denver's big picture, yeah? Agree though that that is Russ's use case for the past few years: eat up meaningless minutes in February, hopefully find/develop better options for May.
  4. I honestly couldn't tell you. But they're on a police report somewhere. My dad passed down a few of his handguns to me in two safes, one keypad, one combo lock. They were stolen (the entire safes, not just the guns) out of my apartment just before I moved out of Texas. I really don't want to start another gun control conversation. I just pointed out what I thought was very obvious, uncontroversial common sense: safely store your fucking guns, especially if you have minors living with you. But really always. You comparing cracking a gun safe to your kid accessing your phone--of which they see you enter your pin a dozen times a day and can be easily booted in recovery mode--is asinine. But I'm happy to admit that I'm wrong if you can find me a few examples of household shootings where someone who didn't have the combination broke into a proper gun safe.
  5. Moving to correct thread: If this isn't the worst bench in the league, I'd be curious to see who is. Braun has to start now, so I'm not sure there's a single player coming off the bench I'd trust.
  6. Oops, wrong thread.
  7. Because it's a ridiculous train of thought. I've owned multiple gun safes. The only way someone--without professional tools--was getting into them "insanely easily" is if I was careless/stupid with the combinations. Even when facing a teenager who lives in the "cyber world." But I'm sure wrongly thinking that gun safes are barely a deterrent helps you to justify keeping your own guns unlocked, so carry on.
  8. If this isn't the worst bench in the league, I'd be curious to see who is. Braun has to start now, so I'm not sure there's a single player coming off the bench I'd trust.
  9. This is where I keep finding hope. Independents will favor Harris. 99% of Democrats are voting Harris, or, at worst, voting Jill Stein. At least one out of every 10 Republicans is jumping ship. Makes you wonder how many ultimately stay home.
  10. Yes, I'm sure the 14 year old falling in love with a Daenerys Targaryen chat bot cracking his dad's gun safe is just as likely as his dad being a reckless gun owner.
  11. How about we just don't leave our guns accessible to our 14 year old children, regardless of mental state? Lock your shit up.
  12. SAS doesn't have many good uses, but tempting Fox News hosts to say "uppity" seems to be one of them.
  13. No team with Russell Westbrook or James Harden on it can ever win an NBA championship. It's a bylaw or something.
  14. Fucking fuck. Who the fuck sees this and thinks, "That's something I want to be a part of"? And then somehow have the gall to consider themselves "independent thinkers."
  15. This isn't quite an "Okay, that's enough internet for today" post, but we're now within range.
  16. Pssshh. I can easily walk to a Chili's AND an Outback Steakhouse. From my HOUSE. Your move, big shot.
  17. I figured he was going to keep the sweepstakes going, then use the DOJ as an excuse for why all the checks bounced.
  18. Anyone know the historical gender trend of early voting? Is it like shopping for Christmas? Women are finished by Black Friday; men start thinking about it on Dec 23rd?
  19. The most expensive single sandwich that I can price out at a San Diego McDonald's a block from the ocean is a double quarter pounder with bacon for $9.49. The filet of fish is $5.39. $5.99 for a crispy chicken. Still ridiculously expensive for McDonald's quality food, but the location you went to must have been engaging in some pretty serious price gouging to get to $10 for a fish sandwich and $13 for chicken.
  20. Swap New Mexico and Wisconsin is you want to keep your pessimism for the day. Lot of white uneducated men.
  21. New Mexico's not even considered a swing state, my dude.
  22. If 2022 is any indicator, Js1 had his finger on the pulse much better than any national pundit.
  23. They finally changed to a food grade brand of cardboard in their bread?
  24. The Warriors aren't going to be "good"--a good Warriors team with Steph Curry on it should be competing for titles, which they obviously won't be--but I think they're going to be pretty fun. They seem to enjoy collecting all of the league's combo guards and undersized wings.
