  1. Why'd you take your dog to a McDonald's in an airport?
  2. Well, his dad being a shitty ass gun owner sure didn't help matters. But yeah, this is a weird one for sure.
  3. Tulsi Gabbard, as of yesterday, is no longer a Democrat and just another grifting Trump sycophant with some very likely ties to Russia. Both sides though, am I right?
  4. He wasn't trying to say that he stopped a real war with France. His voice didn't put a period where there was supposed to be one, and he moved onto "the France story." Being shitty at transitions and shitty at the English language in general is pretty par for the course for him.
  5. This one cracked me up. We all pretend that we want politicians who listen to their constituents and act accordingly and decisively. Their constituents, by an overwhelming majority, wanted a new nominee, and they (miraculously) made it happen in a completely unprecedented circumstance. "But the DNC didn't follow the arbitrary nomination process that they themselves created!!!" The ones that are still opposed to how it went down (Biden's immediate family, I guess?) aren't being forced to vote for her. Democracy still intact.
  6. So if Trump finally did something deemed bad enough--or showed even more dementia--for his party to ask him to step down tomorrow (hahaha), and he actually listened (hahahaha hahaha), that would be all it would take for you to vote for Kamala and DEI. You wouldn't vote for Vance? Color me skeptical from the guy still bringing up Hunter Biden's laptop.
  7. C'mon, we don't have to make up stupid shit he said with misleading tweets.
  8. He's dead, Jim.
  9. I'm not even a hockey fan, but this dude was the fucking man in my youth. Also notice how all of our friends from across the pond are much better at recognizing how dire our current situation is. Almost like their families have already had their own experiences with personality cults and fascism.
  10. One of my favorite parts about the Kamala hate from the right is the criticism for her occasional meandering, confusing answers Ohhhhhh, so we do care about being clear, concise, and articulate all of the sudden. How odd.
  11. If it does, then I think actual, observable, substantial GOP splintering is inevitable in the next couple of years. In 2020, when the GOP power-brokers tried to move on from Trump and MAGA wouldn't let it happen, it wasn't that difficult to jump back on board. Close election, people pissed off about vaccines and inflation, Biden would be 81 in 2024. Whatever, fuck it, I guess we're doing this again. If Trump loses big, mega donors and a decent bunch of R politicians will realize for a fact that an 82 year old mentally failing Trump ain't going to win in 2028, and will likely cost many of them their seats if they continue to support him. Hence them having to adapt and distance themselves from him (and hope he dies), becoming less extreme, even if it draws the ire of MAGA.
  12. And incredibly articulate, especially for a dude who got hit in the head for a living.
  13. Oh please God, yes. The dream is that Trump loses worse than 2020, the GOP tries even harder to push him out of the spotlight, and MAGA begins purity testing for any Republican not willing to ride him into the grave. We should all be so lucky.
  14. You know what Republicans hate even more than not getting to be hateful, misogynistic, evangelical, lying sacks of shit in the wide open? Losing elections.
  15. immortal is the biggest piece of shit on a site that includes Johnny Sack. Best just to let him wallow in his anger from the shadows.
  16. Please stop bringing fucking immortal into these conversations. I don't want to wake up one morning to human feces in my lawn.
  17. I'm the only non-legal expert on this site, but in a battle between equally capable legal teams, I'm taking the side with the law and facts on their side. Though, it's not going to be nearly as fun as watching Rudy, Ellis, and co. get absolutely dunked on every day for two months.
  18. See, I don't believe this. Politicians, above all else, are cockroaches. IF Trump gets his ass kicked in two weeks again, and MAGA candidates in purple states keep getting their teeth kicked in, the GOP will have to adapt. Look how much they're tried to distance themselves from Project 2025 WITH 100% MAGA support. MAGA is a cult. You can't just replace David Koresh with some generic dude in a suit and expect to stay on message with enthusiasm up.
  19. Nate Silver apparently doesn't know what "sweep" means.
  20. Also, as a professional coaching courtesy, what good does having the most successful coach in college football history hovering around the program do for DeBoer?
  21. I think he misspelled "promoted"
  22. It's a chicken or the egg situation. Absolutely, a pro-Trump or pro-GOP opinion is going to get jumped on, even if it's logical and well-sourced. BUT how many logical, well-sourced Trump positions are being put out there? Did the dog-piling start before or after almost every GOP talking point became conspiracy-laden, fear-based, alternative "news" horseshit? I've only been on this forum since Nov 2020, so I can't answer that.
  23. I think I'm more worried about Wisconsin than Pennsylvania, and certainly more than Michigan. But I ain't that worried about Wisconsin.
  24. Sure, but that's just talk. We only choose to take the things he says seriously that we want to take seriously. The rest is just bluster!
