  1. I don't know what spawned your intense Houston hate, but I am here for it.
  2. Suffice to say that asking people living paycheck to paycheck to focus on bigger picture issues affecting others and to vote for moral principles while seemingly keeping the economic status quo was a major miscalculation.
  3. Where are all of these supposed thought leaders who gave Trump virtually no chance leading up to the election? Talk about tilting at windmills.
  4. He's been told this before. They don't care. They'll put this one in the cooler for a couple of months and then repeat it again somewhere else verbatim.
  5. Got damn! Can we just skip to the conference finals? Boston v. Cleveland, OKC v. whoever
  6. You're serious? After your party of dumbfucks and new President spent weeks propagating bold-faced lies about FEMA disaster relief money being siphoned off to illegal immigrants by Kamala, you don't think the aid workers might have been a little apprehensive about approaching an obvious Trump house? Still absolutely wrong--confrontation and risk come with the job--and deserving of being shit-canned. But probably a little more likely than FEMA getting together and deciding, "Haha, let's fuck over Trump voters." Not that logic is going to stop y'all's propaganda train.
  7. Well, we won by not losing as much as we were expected to.
  8. Hopefully there's a complete reset on the perceived advantage of the incumbent. It no longer makes a shit and no important decision should take it into account.
  9. I have a theory that that smug, indignant, just asking (ridiculous accusatory) questions Republican mouthpiece tone--from Rush to O'Reilly to Beck to Hannity to Tucker to our Congress to podcast row--has become so widespread and common over three decades that most don't even hear it anymore. That's just how they talk. So nothing stands out. Meanwhile, when a Dem goes on a mean-spirited rant, it causes a reflexive, "Fuck you, elitist" response.
  10. Outside of this website, I don't have a smug bone in my body. Would never dream of belittling someone or kicking them while they're down IRL. BUT, if things go as sideways as we think that they can, I am going to be motherfucking intolerable to these people* in 4 years time. If Trump does "better" than I expect--which is an incredibly fucking low bar--I'll give him credit and GLADLY admit to being wrong. *these people being those who truly believe in Trump as a leader and actually think he cares about them or America, not voters who just voted for him because of the economy/inflation or shit Democrat messaging. The former are the proverbial dog chasing the anti-government car. Just like Brexit, you finally caught it. Shape the government how you see fit.
  11. Don't care. Forced Christian values on others.
  12. Listen, how were they supposed to know that was going to be on the test?
  13. Yes, we know you're a moron. I won't patronize anyone just because they voted for Trump. But I will absolutely talk down to your dumb ass.
  14. Weird that he wasn't brave/bold enough to say that he'd rather die than live under Kamala on Monday.
  15. While I absolutely agree with your post--it's almost certainly disinformation, and who the fuck knows where it originated--that meme/screenshot will disappear into the ether in a day. It won't be picked up and amplified by Dan Bodingo and Megyn Kelly. It won't be discussed on OAN, Fox News, and Newsmax. It won't cause a sitting GOP Congresswoman to tweet out her disgust of right-wing rhetoric. Elon Musk won't take the time to note it's "concerning." The President of the United States won't reference it the next time him opens his mouth. They've created a fast track for turning pure baseless propaganda into perceived fact before anyone can blink. Texas politicians regularly link stories to the Gateway Pundit, for fuck's sake. We'll never be able to stop disinformation at the lowest levels, but it's frustrating to see it propagate with such planned effect.
  16. No, he doesn't. It's already out there, so it's true now.
  17. Yes, I'm sure massive settlements for libel are headed Trump's way any day now.
  18. I would suggest not being in the getting caught up with what athletes think business, or you're usually going to wind up disappointed.
  19. But a Republicans--and now MAGA--are really good at eliciting emotion, and here we are.
  20. Yep. Anyone telling you this was an election about policy is full of absolute shit. Hard to foresee any future election being about policy.
  21. Also, let's be honest, what would a wildly popular left wing podcast even look like?
  22. We just had the right wing ecosystem create a story out of thin air about legal immigrants stealing people's pets and eating them that made it's way to the Presidential debate. And you want to talk to me about balance and leveling. That's adorable.
  23. I was thinking about something just like this yesterday. I guess every Democracy has to go through their own Brexit (sometimes multiple times), and let the far-right/populist take their shot.
  24. ...so he could spread orders of magnitude more of it in your favor. Yeah man, we get it.
