  1. Why does Hader keep pitching in 4 run games? We don’t have anyone else in the bullpen that can keep an ERA below 36.
  2. Billy Beane agrees.
  3. Maybe Ron Washington was right - Playing 1B is difficult.
  4. Yainer needs to make the pitcher stay in the zone here. Let’s Go!
  5. I still believe there are scenarios in baseball that call for a bunt. It’s not in the third inning of a 4-0 game.
  6. Crooked Numbers
  7. First Pitch Swinging!
  8. They never should have brought him back from his minor league assignment. It was absolutely clear that he was washed but Baggy tried to save face by saying his swing was fixed. Hopefully he’s been kicked out of the inner circle.
  9. Save situation now! Unreal!
  10. Nick will be the next DFA.
  11. Trying to get this back on track. Pic is from stop at Y Mas last month.
  12. This is my very optimistic scenario. Also, they could eliminate partisan gerrymandering in House races and pack the Court.
  13. Move every asset you can and build for the future. This team isn’t going anywhere.
  14. People hate inflation yet people want inflationary policies. It just confirms why I hate people.
  15. Don’t give me any of this Ole Bullshit!
  16. The pizza celebration is fucking stupid.
  17. If Tesla had a minimally effective Board of Directors, this wouldn’t be an actual risk.
  18. If I read Baseball Reference correctly, the Astros are 19-19 when Abreu doesn’t start. 12-19 when Abreu is in the starting lineup.
  19. Unfortunately Jeff Bagwell’s ability as a GM looks a lot like his ability to hit in the playoffs.
  20. I know the Nates have a bad reputation here (probably for good reason). From Nate Cohn’s 2/2/24 article in The NY Times - College graduates make up an outsized portion of Special Election voters about 10% higher than general election voters - Confirming the point above about the olds, 50% of the voters in specials are 65+ - 92% of special election voters also vote in primary’s Also Trump has been driving college-educated voters from the R party. Just look at the change in this board’s profile over the last 10 years.
  21. Plus rep for the Sgt Schulz gif I just don’t see that election as a very interesting data point.
  22. Why are we talking about margins in a special election? There were 279,000 total votes in Ohio’s 6th District in 2022. In the Special last night, there were 60,000 total votes. The Ds should always perform better in low-turnout votes as educated voters turnout. There may be a slight D shift in that District but it will R +20 in the general.
